    AMERICAN INDUSTRIAL DOOR LLC
I called and left a message, the call was returned promptly. I was scheduled for afternoon on the following day. The service man, David, arrived in the time frame that we had established. He was pleasant, informative as he repaired the door, then gave me some tips on how to keep my other garage doors in good shape. It took less than an hour to repair the spring. I was pleased with the service and the price. He also left me with a coupon for any future service needs.

Chris and crew were outstanding. While the wait time was quite long, it was well worth it. I had 14 windows and a patio slider replaced with Milgard (Tuscany) series. Chris and Tim worked with me to replace the outer window casement trim/molding with PVC at my request (no rotting!) and did a top-notch job. Matt was particularly attentive to details and everyone was very courteous, professional and took great care both inside and outside of my home. While I take note of one reviewer's dissatisfaction with the strong focus on Milgard, I allowed myself to be talked into Milgard even though I explored other brands. It is my belief that the skill of the installers are just as (if not more) important than the brand and I am delighted with the end result on all counts. Yes others were cheaper but the "cheap" can turn out to be an expensive mess. I cannot recommend Mitchell's highly enough ... excellent work ethic, value and professionalism. Bonus points for Tim who provided the info and paperwork for Oregon Energy Trust rebate!

Mitchell's technicians did a fantastic job. They were here when they said they would be and totally worked around our schedule. At the end of the work day they cleaned up after themselves and again at the end of the project. Originally they estimated a 3 day project but as things progressed they saw that it could be finished in 2 so they brought an extra helper out to speed the process. All in all a great company and I will recommend them to anyone looking for window replacement. Chris Mitchell also took us through the process of applying for our rebate from the Energy Trust of Oregon. An unexpected estra service.

They were extremely helpful. Helped me through the final design and decision process. Very knowledgeable and straight-forward. Good to work with. I ended up with a great product at a reasonable price. I'd recommend them to everyone.

Chris provided a timely written estimate for replacing all household windows with Milgard vinyl windows. Additionally, he provided a full explanation of how they remove old windows and install replacements, including replacement of all trim, inside and outside calking once windows are installed, and follow-up service if a problem occurs. He was very professional, and the only contractor who provided a written estimate with precise details of what we were ordering. Additionally, he was the only contractor who even mentioned a rebate from the Energy Trust of Oregon, a sizable rebate that brought the total price down considerably. The installation went very smoothly and on schedule, and the result is beautiful vinyl windows that will definitely save energy costs for years to come.

Chris is very professional and his workers are great at their job. His prices are good. Once he got the custom made windows in his shop the install went nicely. My ONLY complaint is that he is so busy that it takes so long to get him here to bid the job. then 2 weeks for the windows to be built. After all the waiting his guys get here and professionally install the beautiful new windows. If you can stand the wait Mitchell is the ONLY business to call for windows an/or doors.

I CALLED FOR AN ESTIMATE ON WINDOWS AND I TOLD THE GUY (CAN'T REMEMBER HIS NAME) STRAIGHT UP THAT I DID NOT WANT MILGARD BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO EXPENSIVE AND MY MOM HAD PUT THEM IN HER HOME AND I DID NOT LIKE THEM. AND I ALSO DID NOT WANT JELD WEN BECAUSE I USE CONSUMER REPORTS AS ONE OF MY TOOLS BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING AND JELD WEN DIDN'T SCORE WELL PLUS OTHER INFORMATION I HAD RECEIVED. THE GUY PROCEEDED TO GET VERY DEFENSIVE OVER MILGARD LIKE HE WAS PART OF THE MILGARD FAMILY! AND WOULD NOT HEAR OF ANY OTHER BRAND I WAS INTERESTED IN. HE JUST WANTED TO ARGUE AND I FINALLY SAID I NEEDED TO GET OFF THE PHONE. HE WAS VERY ARROGANT TO SAY THE LEAST!

Waited longer then I expected for the window to be installed, however the two men who did the installation were the tops. Very detail oriented. They were also mindful of the plants under the window.

    ACTION DOOR
The company representative came and looked at the old garage door, and ordered the correct size (was not a standard size).  When the door came in, he came out and installed it.  It was a difficult job due to the lack of good clearance in the ceiling of the garage (which is probably why the previous owner didn't install a new garage door).  He removed the old garage door and hauled it away. He put a seal around the door, cleaned up everything and took the empty boxes, Styrofoam and other discarded things with him leaving me just a nice, new garage door and no mess no fuss.  It was a delight to have Action Door and Opening Devices do the job.  Made my house look SSSOOOO much better!
I found out this company also does the Fire Department roll up doors and commercial doors all over Southern Oregon.  Action Door was recommended to me when another company said they couldn't put a garage door in there due to the lack of clearance in the ceiling of the garage (which is a finished garage with drywall, etc.).  But Action Door got the right parts, quality stuff, and put in the automatic opener, the electronic eyes, etc.
I thought the price was a bit high, but other companies wouldn't even attempt it, and it was an odd sized door with special circumstances, lack of clearance, etc.  And Action Door managed to do what others wouldn't, and did an excellent job.

    Mountain View Window & Door
It went poorly. The owner, Ray, came out to the house 3 separate times to measure, putting off our date of install for several weeks. He was dismissive to my husband (a licensed contractor-although Ray didn't know that) and told him he "didn't know how to measure doors correctly", and that he wouldn't be able to install the doors as well as his "journeyman" door crew (was he just trying to inflate his price?).
We went with his installers after all because by the time the doors were ready, it was one week before our house was to be painted....and we wanted the doors in by then. We got a call from the secretary (she was always nice on the phone and seemed apologetic) saying that unfortunately, the doors had been delayed and wouldn't be delivered for another 2 weeks! So, our doors were installed after our house was painted :( We had to have the painter come back and paint them (at greater expense to us) later.
The doors arrived...one was "custom" because of the large opening it had to cover. The two downstairs were fine. The installers were efficient and friendly and professional. The upstairs door was installed last that day, just as my husband was getting home from work. He went up to look at the door and told the installers, "That's not going to work"....the door (in the middle of 2 glass panels) was only 27 inches wide!!! This is an outside door to a studio apartment above our garage, and the only entry from the outside. Furniture would never be able to be moved through it in either direction. Ray KNEW it was a studio apartment, and could see the couches and other furniture inside and as a professional should have designed it to accommodate the needs of the space. But, it was a 27 inch door :(. Also, we ordered it with blinds inside the glass panels for privacy....within a week, the blinds in the door would not tilt (and still don't).
Thus, began a month of phone calls that weren't returned, or were returned many days later by Ray with an excuse that didn't jive with his secretaries explanation. It was obvious he was trying to avoid us. We wanted them to come back, remove the door, and give us our money back. He was mad. Eventually, we received a certified letter stating that we had 2 options:
    1. Have them remove the door and refund us the cost of the door only (we loose the installation fee we paid, almost $500)
    2. We keep the door and they refund us 1/2 the price of the cost of the door (~$650)
It was late September now, winter was around the corner, and the rainy season was upon us...we had no time to find another door, hire another company, wait for it to be made and installed, etc. So, we just opted for #2...got our $650 and were done. We were SO over dealing with that company that we were glad to be finished with them...although now we will forever have a door that will not allow us to move furniture in an out, unless it folds up. And, we feel we definitely paid too much for what we actually got in the end with all three doors.
