    PACIFIC AVENUE VET CLINIC
my dog incurred an injury at home, which paralyzed his hind legs, and partial paralysis of front legs.  I took him into the vet.  He was gently laid down on the blanket on the floor, the the vet whipped the blanket around to turn my dog, and my dog SCREAMED in pain.  It was awful.  It took FOREVER for the vet to get the injection ready, and all the while my dog was literally screaming.  I work in the ER of a hospital, and I've never heard that kind of anguish coming from man nor beast.

We have been using them for probably four years.  They are more expensive than the other providers but I like the Veterinarian so I always take my pet back there.  Everybody is very friendly.  They are punctual with appointments.

Fantastic.  They are always good to McTavish.  He loves going in that office.  Although this time was for a nail clipping, we have had him in for several things....to include surgery.  Dr. Michele is great as are all of the people in that office.

Several teeth extractions were done... surgery went okay.
Prior to the surgery, my dog was checked for "red eyes" and also for his chronic ear infections...was given eye drops for an "infection" (not sure how they knew it was an infection, since no lab work was done), but eyes seemed to get better.
    Post surgery.  AWFUL.
    1) Red eyes returned, and the drops aren't working.  Was told that's the only thing they have.
    2) I had been concerned about respiratory difficulties with my dog in connection with anesthesia (he had been de-barked by a previous owner, which causes respiratory issues)...was told there were no issues connected with it and that it was entirely safe.  SO...post surgery, my dog has had respiratory problems!
    3) was told post surgery that both ears were infected and needed 10 days of treatment with drops, then weekly rinsing.  The drops made things worse and when I contacted them, was told "maybe my dog has perforated eardrums."  I had been told by the vets  over a year earlier that the eardrums were probably perforated.  Was now being told that the treatment would be different if he had perforated eardrums.  OH GREAT.  Don't they read the chart before prescribing treatment???!!!
When I tried to contact the provider regarding these issues, I was met with someone (the veterinarian) who constantly "talked over" me as I was trying to speak to explain the situation.  Condescending and did not want to listen.  I will not take my dog to that vet again.
    The techs were great, though.
But I'm definitely NOT a happy camper.

They are great. I take all my animals to them, they have taken care of lots of problems for my animals and they are open seven days a week, they are always available. They are just three or four vets and they are all good. They are very good with the animals, they are gentle, very responsive to what we need and they will make accommodations to get us in there and stay after closing to meet us. They do almost everything, they have done surgery on my animals and they do it very well.

    PACIFIC AVENUE VET CLINIC
I have 3 dogs and Dr. Sid has provided veterinarian care for them for the last 10 years. I've been to several veterinarian clinics in the Hillsboro area where I lived previously and found that I was pressured to buy health packages or other pet bundles. Prices were very high at these other vet clinics. I moved to Forest Grove and found Dr. Sid's prices to be much more pet-owner friendly and I was given a lot of options and flexibility in treatment choices. My dogs have received various surgeries and preventative health care over the years from removing cancerous tumors, yearly teeth cleanings and spay/neutering. I have recommended this vet clinic to my friends and will continue to do so in the future.

The Pacific Ave Veterinary Clinic made a donation to the OSU Veterinary College in honor of our pet and sent us a sympathy card the following week. These folks are truly dedicated to the pets and people they serve and provide excellent care and support to the entire family.

They provide very good service. We have boarded our cat there, and they have provided very good service. The price was nominal, and it isn’t outrageous, but I just don’t remember the price. Their quality is fine. They are punctual.

    ANIMAL EYE DOCTOR
Our eleven year old Golden Lab, Maggie, had injured her eye.  Although she was treated by our local vet,  there was no
improvement to her eye's condition.  He then referred us to Dr. Susan Kirschner who specializes in ophthalmological
    problems in canines.

Dr. Kirschner examined, diagnosed and prescribed medication with which we treated the ulcer which had developed in Maggie's eye.  Maggie's progress was followed by Dr. Kirschner over a period of five office visits several weeks apart.  Scar tissue was
surgically removed from Maggie's eye locally with no complications.

Our beloved Golden Lab recovered completely with no loss to her vision under Dr. Kirschner's excellent care.

    HILLSDALE VETERINARY GROUP
Dr. Flecker and his staff are very knowledgeable, compassionate and professional. I appreciate that when we come in they greet my dog BY NAME! It really helps her feel more relaxed there. My older dog is a little skittish unless I am with her. Dr. Flecker and her staff are so kind and always let me stay with her for her procedures. It really makes us both feel better. So, at this last appointment, rather than taking her in the back for the aspiration, he just did it with us in the examination room. In the past, I was even able to go in the back with her for x-rays so I could keep her calm and avoid having to sedate her. They really care about the animals. At times, money is tight for me and they've always worked with me to find cost-effective solutions and to provide estimates before work/procedures. As for communication, Dr. Flecker never rushes the consultation and takes notes as we talk. After the appointment, he calls personally with any follow-up instructions. He also is always prompt about returning calls. I moved 20 miles west of Portland last year and I still make the trek to see Dr. Flecker and his team. I just don't think it's possible there is anyone better out there for us! I unreservedly recommend Hillsdale Veterinary Clinic.
