Along with the roof cleaning, they replace cracked shingles and cracked vent seals. They also treated fro moss. They came in under the estimate. He did not just 'do' everything we asked for, and fit us into his in-demand schedule on late notice- he went above and beyond in the performance of his work, as well as the execution. He thought through every possible incarnation of how we would use what we asked for, and made modifications to make the additions not just the functional we were looking frr, but a joy to look at, and use in ways we wouldn't expect to need them. Examples include a framing of a dog door in such a way that it's usefulness would allow for cat and dog use. Also, in adding a fenced wall with a gate, he considered how the gate attaches to the garage in an unnoticeable way and hooks open when we need to move furniture or large items into our out of the driveway. Also all the work he did was non-invasive and added not just function, but pleasure in its thoughtfulness. Thanks Damiel! I'd highly recommend him.- stephanie p.

AMason Bee Woodcraft, LLCMorgan surpassed all my expectations. His craftsmanship and thoughtfulness were superb. He built a custom henhouse and coop, in an awkward space in our backyard. Frankly, I'm not sure how he figured out the angles and constructed this coop. But it is beautiful, very functional, and exactly what I was hoping for. Furthermore, Morgan was honest, and communication with him was great. He always let me know where things were at with the project, and he always asked me questions to make sure the job was being done the way I wanted. Recent Review:
CThe project was quoted promptly and initial communication was pretty good. This was the lowest of 6 bids and price and schedule were the deciding factors in our decision to move forward. After scheduling, I emailed to ask who would be calling 811 to mark the utility lines. Reggie confirmed that he would, but no utility people showed up going into the weekend. We called Reggie and told him this and told him that the project could not start until the lines were marked. He confirmed and mentioned that the utility people should be there since the request was submitted on Friday. We said they needed 2 business days so the earliest they would be there was Monday. We pushed the job back one day since the utility people did not show on Monday. The team showed up on Tuesday and dug and installed the fence posts and then left to pick up the remaining materials for the next day. On day two, the team showed up in the morning and Reggie discovered that they had placed the posts for vertical fencing and not horizontal fencing (needed to be closer together to work with the slats) so they dug up the posts and re-did them. They also installed the 20' of 3 ft tall fence. When I returned from work, I noticed that the 3' tall fence posts had all been cut down to height and not left tall for the 6' gate that was supposed to be installed. We called Reggie and let him know and he said they would re-do those posts. The next day they got to work installing the horizontal boards on the 6' fencing. I video called with Reggie while I was at work (my partner facilitated) to confirm which side of the fence would get the "nice side". We agreed that it would all face inwards. Later that day my partner looked outside and noticed that the crew was installing the boards on the outside of the fence and went out to talk to them and had them switch it back to what we had talked about with Reggie. The next day they continued the fencing without any major hiccups and the last day the box gates were built and installed. We reviewed the work with Reggie acknowledging that everything was done correctly and looked nice. We mentioned the confusion (including having to re-do work after we asked questions) and lack of communication and he acknowledged the challenges and pointed out that it was done in the end. After the project was completed, I emailed, texted and called to ask for a receipt and did not receive one until my partner called multiple times. Reggie did show up to make a minor repair to a gate latch about 1 month later. Overall, the workmanship is good, but the communication was not very good.

FRight away there were major issues with the quality of work performed and the professional manner of the crew and contractor Peter J. Evins at Northstar. Almost immediately it was evident that the crew that was working on my property was not a professional crew with workers showing up on more than one occasion with an underage minor climbing on the roof with his father, crew drinking beers during lunch periods then returning to work on the roof, drinking beer after the work in my backyard on site, never being properly tied off or secured via OSHA compliance and the companies own contract. As a licensed contractor Peter and Northstar should have had a person onsite to supervise and their employees workmanship and behavior. The crew was called to redo or correct work they “Completed” during every step of the installation process. The contractor was also not on site supervising the work even after requesting his presents on site and to verify the quality of the work of his crew several times. Contractor failed to be present on site during work or review any of the crew's work until we, as clients, called or texted pictures of our complaints. I regret ever hiring this company. Having to have daily check-ins with the company in order for the work to be done correctly should not be an expectation, nor was it our responsibility. The lack of transparency, failure to oversee the quality and procedural correctness of the project, the unprofessionalism of the foreman and crew members, as well as the ethical deficiency to not cut corners has resulted in poor quality work and the irreversible damage to this company’s reputation.

AWe recently had Woodpecker Roofing & Remodel do new siding and new windows on our mobile home. We were very nervous to get this done, because as most must feel, we weren’t sure if we had chosen the right company or not and how the final product would look, but let me just tell you....WE COULD NOT HAVE CHOSEN A BETTER COMPANY!! WE DEFINITELY WENT WITH THE BEST!! We can’t express our gratitude enough! These people exceeded our expectations in everything they did. They weren’t just professional, but they were there on time and ready to get the job done. They got stuff done in a timely manner and were great at communicating every step of the process with us along the way. They were always very polite and courteous. As if that wasn’t enough, they made sure to clean up after themselves every day making sure they didn’t leave a mess on our yard and that to us also means a lot. Needless to say, we are so satisfied and thrilled to get our new siding and new windows done before winter hits!!!

AThe work went smoothly, quickly, and affordably. The crew was efficient in their work and completed the job quite nicely, including most of the cleanup. For a crew of 2 or 3 working between 8 and 12 hours scattered across four different days, I thought the price ($1,235) was entirely reasonable. I will happily recommend Fix-A-Fence to my neighbors. This pro is popular! Scheduling was over 3 months in advance, yet I didn't mind, because my project wasn't time-sensitive and they didn't require a down payment of any kind.
