    All About Chimneys
Frank came out to sweep my chimney and inspect my wood stove. He did that and left everything clean. He also told me how to use the wood stove to keep the glass, chimney and chimney cap clean. He also just as a courtesy inspected another stove that I'm installing in my shop. Frank was on time, courteous, clean and very knowledgeable. I got more than my moneys worth!

    Tom Payne Masonry Inc
Tom and his assistant did a good job. Left the site all cleaned up, no problems. The only quibble I have is that he gave me a pretty vague, mostly verbal quote. I was under the impression that in included a coat of masonry sealant; when he was finished power-washing, though, he said his recommendation was to never do that. If we'd had that discussion *before* doing the work I would have been a lot more comfortable.

    DUTCH MASONRY LLC
Mark was just the best to work with. He showed up when he said he would and his work is exceptional. I have had several roofing companys come and give me a bid for a new roof. All of them remarked that the new chimney and roof flashings were the best that they have seen. I would highly recommend Mark and Dutch Masonry to anyone.

    Baker Masonry Llc
Peter Baker was excellent and he did terrific work. It was very difficult to find someone that was going to be punctual and show up when they say they are going to and he was. He just got down to business and our neighbors that had the same type of columns, commented that they wished that they had used him because ours looked so much better. His price was very fair. I plan on using his services again.

    DUTCH MASONRY LLC
I was going to go with him and the only reason I didn't is, because the gate company that I used to build my gate, worked with the masonry guy that I used. There were some complicated things with my gate and its location and I thought it would work smoother if the masonry guy was someone that the gate company had worked with. That was the only reason and I was very torn because with the Dutch Masonry person, even though he didn't do the work, I felt competent that he would do a good job and his price was the same. He estimated the same amount about $2600, so I went back and forth and it was tough because they both seemed like very nice people and I wanted to give them the job but in the end, I went with another masonry person. Had I not been introduced to the guy I used, by the gate company, I would have definitely used Dutch Masonry. I feel so bad that I couldn't use him. I would definitely consider him in the future but it would depend on what the job is and which one has the time to do it and how timing works out for the contractor and us.

    Rael Inc
Superb. Extremely happy with the results.
I initially contacted a total of 6 stone masons to get an estimate on the work that I needed done. David was suggested by one of the masons from Angies list. I called David and he stopped by on Sunday morning in order to accommodate my schedule. We discussed what I wanted to accomplish. He offered suggestions then we discussed our budget and our choice of stone. He said that he will look into options to see if he can come close. Couple of days later, he asked me to meet him at the stone yard to look at stone types. The stone combination he found looks very close to what we wanted and would be within my budget; in the discussion he took pictures and gave me samples to show my wife and discuss. He suggested that we could pick the darker color stones ourselves which was a plus. We decided to hire him. A second visit to the stone yard where we picked the darker colored stones resulted in a multi tone combination stone that we were hoping for (and final results is better than the catalog pictures of our original stone choice). The work started on time. David is very punctual, and very clean. What I was amazed at is that when he started, he took the time to show us detailed options on many aspects of the wall and the hearthstone. That took considerable amount of time. His attention to details is outstanding. As a result, the initial layout changed a bit that resulted in David cutting each individual stone and chipping the edges by hand. Now the stones are new but they have the charming rustic country look that is very hard to achieve with new stones. My father (retired long ago) was a stone mason and he was surprised that someone still pays attention to such details nowadays. Well, the fireplace is done and my woodstove insert is installed, even the stove installer was impressed by what David had done. The result is a work of art that exceeded our expectation and got us tons of compliments from our neighbors.
Even the price we paid is extremely fair given the work that was done. Initially, I though the cost is still on the expensive side (but it fit our budget), but after doing some research on Davids work, we decided to hire him anyway. It was worth every penny and the fireplace looks like we paid many times more than it actually cost us J I plan to hire him again to reface the front of the house in the future.
