    the Village Builder, Inc.
Peter from The Village Builder clearly laid out the process of our kitchen remodel. Helped us get to a realistic budget for what was important to us. And worked with us to stay within the budget which we mutually agreed. He provided insight based on experience that allowed us to make decisions that were best for our project and budget. The subcontractors managed by The Village Builder were professional, on time, and did beautiful work. They even cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. Peter managed the construction schedule to keep everything moving forward efficiently. If a delay was encountered it was communicated as early as possible. The Village Builder simply did what they said, when they said, and did not go over budget. We are super happy with our new kitchen and plan on working with The Village Builder on our next remodel. Goodness knows our bathrooms need to be updated!

Plumber called before arrival introduce himself and to say he was on his way, much appreciated. He didn't have the required part with him. Left to get it and returned in af reasonable amount of time. Repair made.

    Jackson Construction
After purchasing our home in 2016, built in 1966 but remodeled in 2012-14, we thought there would be no major projects. Everything looked fantastic on the outside, but lurking behind the walls were ticking time-bombs from "sub-optimal" materials and poor craftsmanship by the prior homeowners contractor. In early 2018, a darkening in the hardwood of the hallway floor outside the master bedroom and bowing of the baseboard and wall-board were our first clue something was not right. Because of the outstanding experience we had with Dorson Jackson of Jackson Construction, we gave him a call and asked if he could investigate. After opening the hallway wall-board, he discovered water was leaking, and had been leaking for some time, from the master bath shower. After consulting with our homeowners insurance firm, a claim was filed and we began the process of repair and replacement. It was awful to see the behind the walls, behind the pretty tile and glass, just how much damage had been done. To tear out thousands of dollars of nearly-new tile and fixtures made our stomachs turn but once the true extent of the damage was revealed, we were very thankful that we were in such good hands with Dorson. The subcontractors Dorson provided for electrical, plumbing, tile, glass, and paint all of them were very professional and we never guessed where we were in the project thanks to Dorsons frequent updates and weekly schedule plans. On our own dime (in addition to the insurance), we upgraded ventilation, floor tile quality, added radiant floor heat, and changed the location of the valve to one that made more sense. Dorson was mindful of our budget and provided options at varying price points. Not only was our master bathroom repaired, it was elevated to a new level of quality, thanks to Dorson and Jackson Constructions excellent work. He also pulled permits for any and all areas that were necessary. Dorsons attention to detail was recognized and commended by our insurance adjuster as well. A situation that could have been very painful to work through went extremely smooth and I believe all parties were pleased. We would highly recommend Dorson Jackson of Jackson Construction, without hesitation.

    Albin's Plumbing Inc
Albin's Plumbing did a fine job with this extensive project, which included a new bathtub and shower surround. Kevin handled the estimating and project management, and the Albin's team was professional and courteous at every stage of the operation. Considerable drywall removal and replacement was involved as well, and Albin's coordinated the drywall finish work with a local contractor. We were especially pleased with Albin's response to a product quality problem with the first bathtub that was delivered. I will not hesitate to use Albin's again, and can strongly recommend them to anyone in the area with a plumbing problem.

We used Dorson for a small job that involved flooring, plumbing and door replacement. He managed multiple subcontractors and served in the general contractor role, which was very convenient for me, not having to individually hire different tradespeople. He gave a detailed quote from the beginning and was always on time - he's dependable. He did a really good job overall and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to someone else for a similar type of project.

It went really well. They were very good about explaining what they were doing and why. they performed everything we asked them to do. called to let me know that they were running late due to farm equipment on the roads from Lebanon - we live in Corvallis. It was a great experience. I will hire them again when I need anything done.

Everything worked out well, work was done in a very professional way, Shawn the main plumber did a very good job, everything worked out, and the clean up was also done, I would highly recommend this plumbing company, very efficient and experienced. I will have Shawn return to install a main line shut off valve when he can.

They're just really reliable, they know what they're doing. On the cost, I don't remember it was $300 at most. They were good. We called them up; they knew the exact type of heater we had and they said, "Oh, that's one of those, okay we got it." then we got them here.  They said well, they couldn't do it. Then, they called us up later and said we can do it, but a day early and we said great. It was a really good experience.

    Stutzman Services Inc
We were renting a home and after about six weeks there was the sound of running water. After several theories were explored including springs running under the house, we turned the water off at the street. The sound stopped. We contacted the city to check on consumption. There was a leak of about 1-2 gallons per minute going into the ground beneath the slab. We contacted American Leak Detectors (another review). Stutzman initially replaced the line from the street and then replaced all the plumbing in the house. The owner covered the cost. The entire process took about a month, but all is working well. The 12-year-old front loading washer did not survive being moved 5' and had to be replaced. Stutzman worked with the owner and others to schedule work as quickly as possible as the job continued to grow beyond a simple leak repair. While the overall work took longer to complete, temporary piping enabled us to live in the house while waiting for the next repair window. The total job took about a week, but had to be rescheduled as new issues arose.

    American Leak Detection - Oregon
Location of leak and water line to house was found and marked quickly. A "y" in the piping after it came into the house was not found. (A justification for lower quality rating, but this was not normal and could not have been foreseen easily.) After water line from street was replaced and water was routed to one branch of the "y" and no cold water was available in half the house, the existence of the "y" was realized. Once this was realized, the decision was made to replace all of the plumbing in the house. Probably the only real downside to not knowing the actual location of the pipes is the frustration that the new waterline from the street did not fix the problem and the plumbing work to replace all of the pipes could be scheduled for two weeks.
