AL'S LAWN MOWER SALES & SERVICE
When I dropped off my mower, although there were several employees milling about, not one single person acknowledged my presence for quite some time. No nod, no smile, no nothing. Then I got my quote of $49.00 for blade sharpening, which I thought was somewhat expensive, given the fact that the push mower only cost about $100. Then the person told me it would take a week to sharpen the blades. Ok. It IS spring, perhaps everyone else is getting their blades sharpened this week, too? When I went today to pick up my mower, again, the shop was busy. I exchanged small talk with two other customers, who also expressed dismay over not being acknowledged, despite the fact that I saw five separate employees milling about. When it was my turn, I handed them my receipt and I was told my mower was not ready yet, that I would have to come back later. I pointed out that the date on my slip said today, and that the mower should be ready; they had it for a week, why are they not done? The lady seemed totally miffed that I was questioning this. I told her this was unsatisfactory, and furthermore, that last week and again today, nobody even acknowledged my presence or smiled or said hello. She promptly told me that this wasn't true, and that I must be mistaken, that is not how it is. I pointed to the other two customers at the counter, with whom I'd just discussed this lack of customer service, and I told her, "Ask them, we were all three discussing it, in fact". MUCH to my dismay, I will have to return next week to pay the outrageous fee for a blade sharpening.
