    All Tech Appliance Service
Turned out the motor was shot and would have to be replaced. We decided to purchase a new one. The tech (I believe his name was Jared) was outstanding. so professional . He answered some other questions I had about our washer and was very helpful. I would definitely hire them again.

They replaced the thermostat and about 9 / 10 weeks later I had the same issue. I called another technician I had used in the past and he said the reason it failed was because the technician only replaced the thermostat. Apparently, there is another piece that needs to be replaced at the same time. He said they are always replaced together. He showed me the other piece and it was obviously that it was old and had not been replaced. I paid $140.73 for Knapp to repair and I feel it was not a good use of my funds. So I paid for another technician to come out from another company and paid again for the repair just a few weeks later. I would highly recommend Dryer Tech. I've used their service 3x now, and I can honestly say I would call Dryer Tech again.

Jared called ahead and arrived on time. Because the "clean" light was flashing, he knew what to do and re-programmed the panel to start. While it was going through the cycle, he gave me maintenance tips on some of my other appliances. The cycle was successful and he showed me how to re-start it if it stops again. Jared was knowledgeable and personable. I would definitely use All-Tech again and will recommend it to my family and friends.

One minute dryer was working, the next it would not start. Called Knapp's about 3:15pm expecting to be serviced the following day or even the following week. Spoke with James who said he could make it out the same day. Told him I had an obligation at 5:30pm and he said was more than willing to work around it. James called me back at 4:30pm to tell me he was on his way. Dryer fuse had burned out. Was replaced in a timely fashion. James shortened the dryer venting to maximize performance and hopefully prevent it from happening again. James was very friendly and even took time to pet my dog and throw her toy, which she was constantly bugging him with. Very professional. Left laundry room clean and tidy. Asked for vacuum to clean behind dryer for me. Was more than impressed with the response time and the finished product. Will be calling Knapp's for any appliance issues and installs in the future. Thank you for getting my dryer up and running again in less than 2 hours from the time it broke to the time it was fixed. I am amazed.

    CASCADE ELECTRONICS
Who knew it could take two full months for an easy repair? I will give you the short version: these people will not call you back, will not keep your appointments, and will not show up with the parts needed for the repairs. While the repair guy was fine, getting him out there was a trial. If you have to use them (for example, if you made the mistake of buying Frigidaire appliances and have to use them for the warranty work) then you will have to bulldog the office to get it done.

    Portland Installation, Inc.
I wanted the installation to be done by a professional business rather than by stores which aren't always satisfactory, so I called
Portland Installation to install my new wall oven, dishwasher, cooktop and hood.  Chris did the work including removing the current
appliances.  He was professional and courteous through all of it.  The fit of the cooktop and the venting on the hood had some
complications but he knew how to solve them.  I would definitely hire them again.

    Appliance Guys Inc
I contacted Appliance Guys through Angie's List and they got back to me right away by email. We set up an appointment time and date and I confirmed that with them all by email. About 30 minutes before the arranged time, I had a phone call from Kevin from Appliance Guys letting me know he would be there on time. The entire repair visit took less than 15 minutes, they preferred a paper check and I was given a $5.00 discount for using them through Angie's List. It all went very well and I would use this company again in the future.

    Reliable Appliance Repair
Provider did nothing.  I tried 3 times to set up an appointment via phone.  2 times 8/11/2014 each time waited over 10 minutes (didn't have the option to waiting longer either time). Third try was on 8/12/2014 - after 10 minutes I got through to be told the next available appointment would be 1.5 weeks out.  An unacceptable length of time to wait for an appointment.

Brian arrived on time as scheduled.  He was professional and courteous.  He removed a few panels from the dryer and removed the drum from the dryer.  He completely vacuumed the entire cabinet and the lint trap and put the dryer back together again.  The old vent hose had a tear in it and he replaced it with a non-crushable vent hose.  The old one vent hose had fallen off and would not stay attached. He cleaned out the vent hose from beginning to end.  The vent cap on the outside had detached and Brian corrected this.  He also pointed out that the vent did not extend out far enough and some of the dryer heat was going up behind the siding. He extended the vent which corrected this issue.  Brian did more than just clean the vents, he corrected a long standing issue.  I was impressed that he was willing to point out existing issues and correct them as well.  I feel I received more than I asked for and I'm happy for it.  It isn't enough to just to have the dryer vent/hose cleaned out, the dryer cabinet has to be cleaned out as well in order to prevent a fire.  My understanding is that  fires begin inside the dryer.  I plan on using the services of this company again.  I also had the washer hoses replaced as they were over 10 years old.  I had extra expenses for new hoses and the extension behind the dryer so next year the cost will be lower. :)

Very responsive, attempted to troubleshoot the problem before making a service call. Set up appointment, confirmed appointment, arrived on time, Thorough evaluation and repair. It was a simple problem so we only paid the minimum service call charge.
