Mr. Electric of Vancouver & Portland
My husband and I were very pleased with their service. They were quick to respond and timely with the work that had to be done. They were very respectful of the house they were working in by wearing covers over their boots and took time to clean up after themselves. We were both really happy and I would recommend them.

    Square 1 Electric
Our estimate was great, quick and informative. We booked the appointment and got the work done quickly. Very pleased with how well they diagnosed our lighting fixture and were able to fix it, plus discovered the switch also needed fixing. Very pleased, we got estimates for more work that we will definitely hire them again for in the future.

    SPEEDY SEPTIC
The two gentlemen who presented to our residence did a fine job in determining the failure point of our septic alarm. I was told to purchase a 12V power cord, for which I was charged $150 for this sage advice. Well, I found a viable cord as well as a functioning power outlet and discovered the system still does not work. Ugh. While they have every right to charge me what they will, I'm most disappointed I didn't receive an advance call that they were coming to my home (which their representative assured me would happen).

    Eagle Electric
Quality wasn't too bad. We had them come out and fix a couple of things that didn't work out. They came out, fixed it and walked away. They should be on time. Sometimes, they weren't on time. They might be 45 minutes to an hour late. Other than that, they were pretty prompt. I started out with one guy and I had another guy and then I had another guy.

    ENDERS ELECTRIC INC
The electrician installed a 50-amp outlet outside but unfortunately in the process inadvertently disconnected another external outlet. We did not discover until a few days later. A different electrician came out and fixed the electrical problem just fine, though the second visit did incur another fee of nearly $300.00. We were a bit upset about that, since the second trip was due to their own error. The initial price of installing the 50 amp was $295.00 plus the permit. After some negotiation, they did halve the additional fee to $150.00. Overall, the work was done, but we could have done without the additional fee for their second visit.

    RP Electric
Rory was very courteous and professional. He was very prompt and got the job done in great time. We have had RP Electric do work for us quite a few times and will continue to do business with them in the future.

    Orient Electric
The service went fine. One person came out and he was very punctual and prompt. He was also a nice guy and an efficient worker. I had no problem scheduling the service both times they came out. We have them scheduled back out to fix the quarter of the house I blew out.

    Volt Electric
While changing a light bulb (BR 30) in a ceiling can fixture the light bulb socket dislodged from the can.  I called around Angie's List providers, their 1st hour (e.g., $100 plus $75 for prorated/whole hour) and trip (e.g., $25) rates was compareble to others.  Also, since it would take less than 1 hour repair the dislodged socket) I asked about changing the ceiling fan switches from toggle to timer.
Ryan suggested that I purchase the timer switches to eliminate the hourly clock time of the electrician from having to come out here, going to the electrical supplier and coming back out to make the repairs and replacements.  I got the 2 timer switches at Platt Electric.
The electrician did the repair and replacements in under an hour.  My wife and I are very happy campers.

    PDX Electric LLC
Dave arrived within one day of calling PDX Electric.  He was competent and fun to work with as this took a few hours to test the circuits. etc.  It was a pleasure to work with a knowledgeable technician after having miserable experiences with some HVAC folks. I highly recommend this company and in particular Dave Bates. I will always use this company for any future electrical needs.

    Phillip Norman Attic Access
Our ranch style home was built in 1969, had minimal
insulation, hazardous vermiculite content, and minimal head room. We wanted all
the old material removed and new insulation installed.
I looked on Angies List for a provider. Phil Norman Attic
Access stood out to me due to customer reviews. I called Phil and he came out
the following evening. He looked in our attic and saw minimal insulating bats
with vermiculite sprinkled throughout. He said he would need to take samples of
the vermiculite for the asbestos content before he could give me a bid. The lab
fee would be $75.00. I agreed, and he took six samples in different areas, and
sent them to the lab for testing.
About a week later I received an e-mail from Phil with a
copy of the lab report. The vermiculite tested less than 1% asbestos content.
That was a level at which he could do the work. He gave me a bid of $5225. We
agreed on the price and Phil went to work about a month later.
     The attic access was
in the garage through a 2x2 foot opening. Phil covered the garage areas with
plastic. It took about a week to carefully remove all the old bat insulation,
vermiculite, and diligently vacuum the entire attic.
Phil talked to us about the attic not breathing properly,
and he would suggest enlarging the fascia vents. We agreed and Phil did the
    work.
Phil also talked about the benefits of LED lighting in our
home. He demonstrated one, and we decided to have five new fixtures installed.
He did sheetrock patching and matched the ceiling brocade perfectly.
Phil changed out an old bath exhaust fan with a high quality
    quiet fan.
Phil air sealed all wall headers and floor pits. He
installed CFL lighting in the attic with convenient switches. He built and
installed soffit baffles. Previously there were none, restricting attic
    ventilation.
He then carefully placed new John Mansville and Owens Corning
insulation bats between the joists, then covering them, three layers deep!
Phil then built a raised plywood flooring of approximately
800 sf. where there was adequate headroom. This is nice for attic access and
    additional storage area.
Our attic looks beautiful, well lighted, and clean air to
breathe. We have been enjoying the comfort inside our home ever since. Our
    energy bill has decreased substantially.
I would recommend Phil Norman if you want the job done
right. It was a big job and took five weeks from start to finish, as Phil works
by himself. The final bill was $6403 as there was additional work we wanted
done as I indicated in this report.
We trusted Phil in our home when we were gone. Phil handled
all the paperwork necessary for us to get the maximum Energy Trust of Oregon
rebate. I would recommend Phil Norman to anyone who wants a great job.
