    I used to have a high opinion of Ric Secor and the service techs at Home Heating but have been forced to change my mind. While he appears to be very professional and attentive, consider this. I bought a $10,397 system from him in 2012 with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. I have confirmed this directly with Amana. The warranty is still in force until Feb 2022. On Tuesday my ac quit working so called HH for service. The tech came the following day and diagnosed a $10 capacitor was at fault but would need to have Amana look at it before it could be replaced under warranty. Looking at several more days without ac I offered to buy it outright so that they could just fix it before they left. The tech went to prepare a quote and returned to announce the system was no longer under warranty because I have not been buying annual maintenance service and that I owed him $96 for the service call. I then called Ric who said I should call a different Amana dealer for warranty service but that he would drop off the no-charge part that evening. This was only the second time I called for warranty service. The other issue was over a controller fault. HH had looked at it a couple of times but have never resolved the problem. I also used them to extend the system during a remodel last year. I asked Amana customer service if annual maintenance is required to keep the warranty in force. She said she had not heard of that. On her recommendation I called Deschutes Heating and Cooling. They do not require annual maintenance, in fact have never heard of that condition and would be glad to do any warranty work. They confirmed the warranty was in force and would be paid by Amana for their work. Regarding the Home Heating service tech, I could sense something was up as he was diagnosing the unit. He said CEC was producing dirty power and was probably the reason the capacitor failed. He said the fan blade and fan motor was about to fail and that the compressor was probably not far behind. He said that these parts should be replaced now but would not be covered by warranty. He said he should also install a device to protect the unit from dirty power. Obviously he was trying to scare me and sell me a bunch of stuff. This is apparently how Home Heating is trying to grow their sales. Unless you are willing to spend 10% to 20% on top of the new system price for maintenance to stay in good grace with Home Heating, I suggest you consider Deschutes Heating & Cooling, 541-382-0424. They showed up within a couple hours, took care of the problem at no charge and said the rest of the system looked to be in good condition. Please note I emailed Ric an advanced draft of this review asking for his comment. His reply was "Sorry you are not happy. I wish you the best." I recommend working with a company that is more forthcoming, will not try to scare you into spending on unnecessary repairs and will provide warranty work per the Amana terms.

    Knowing that I'd been having problems with my heat pump for a while, Jason squeezed me into his schedule. He was thorough and efficient and answered all of my questions. Although the issue wasn't severe enough to need repair at this point, he gave me tips and advice on how to prevent my furnace from kicking on (which would help decrease my power bill). I had a great experience and I would highly recommend.

    We had four area companies evaluate and quote the replacement of a gas floor furnace for our mill house. We have been very happy with the performance and lack of blower noise for the furnace, but it is difficult to find a company that still handles them. We got everything from "the city is going to condemn your house unless you do this or that, and you'll need to find another additional contractor to handle some of the work" to "we can't do the job without a large outlay to meet city codes". We were fortunate to contact Dave at AccuAir and he was both familiar with the furnace and was way ahead of the game on how to install the unit to pass the building codes. The team from AccuAir was extremely professional, personable, fast, and neat. The quote was ideal for our budget and the installation passed city inspection without a hitch. It was so great to deal with a company that knew what they were doing, weren't trying to upsell you into something expensive, and did not use scare tactics. We would not hesitate to use AccuAir again, and feel very comfortable recommending them.

    From the initial quote through the follow-up by the office post installation every step of this project was brilliant. I requested several businesses to quote for the work and it was clear from the beginning we should go with Greensavers. Their level professionalism is rare in this line of work (two vendors with good ratings here never responded. two came and gave quotes and never responded to my queries after that). I HIGHLY recommend this team of caring, professional, responsive, and trustworthy people.

    It went very well. An excellent team. Everyone is responsive, hard working, and wants you to be satisfied, even pleased, with their work. Good integrity. Our home is much, much improved. When the new water heater had a failure, they fixed it pronto. One bit of advice: If you are not already familiar with the operational differences between heat pump systems and conventional systems, ask them to explain.

    Requested and paid for annual maintenance on two warehouse heaters. Report says both heaters performing perfectly. Two days after being serviced, one heater failed, so called for help. They say that heater now has a broken ignition board that needs to be replaced. I say ok, but will you at least credit me for the cost of the maintenance trip for that heater that was clearly wrong. NO! Pleaded twice with them. Was told to forget it. That was my experience. Went with a new vendor and am glad I did.

    Smooth as glass from Don's estimate to the final install. I was nearly finished with the bidding process when I learned that it isn't the amount of money you spend on the equipment to get the rebate from the local electric company (as one highly rated company had told me); it's whether you choose someone from the list of contractors that the electric company has screened and authorized. I obtained more bids from that list and found that even with the rebate included, some companies were way higher than the amount quoted by Diversified, even as much as DOUBLE, for the same size heat pump. Plus, the brand Diversified uses is very highly rated by Consumer Reports but if anything goes wrong that is caused by a problem with the installation, Diversified's labor warranty is longer than almost everyone. The install was done in half a day, including sealing off the ducts under the house in such a way that none of the other bidders had mentioned. The techs were punctual, courteous, and respectful, and the office staff was very helpful at all times.

    The best thing is that they do the job correctly and they are always on time. They get in and do their job and explain it and then they go away. It takes under an hour. They cleaned up perfectly well. I'm happy with what they do.

    Had used this company before, and they did a good job. I called them to do some more work and they said that they were out 3 weeks. I said to go ahead and put me on the schedule and they said that they would. I waited for about 10 days and called to verify my appointment time and there was no appointment scheduled. They said that it would be 3 more weeks before they could get to me. Terrible customer service. Will never us them again.
