At Summit Animal Hospital, our veterinarians truly care the pets in our care. We are based in the Camas, WA, region.
Recent Review:
ADr. Fry and his team are outstanding. There are 3 vets here, with Dr. Fry at the helm. All 3 vets are great - caring and compassionate with scared kitties. Check ups are quick and efficient so you can get in and out so fur babies can get home. Prices are fair. I've used Summit for more than a decade for everything from check ups to dental to, unfortunately, euthanasia. No matter what the reason for the visit, they are professional and courteous.

ADr. Tom handled my cat as if he was a member of his own family. He reminds me of the small town doctors (for humans) that we all wish we had! He is very professional, extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things clearly. If he recommends treatments he also tells you why it is important. My kitty has a history of sturvite crystals so he is in a special diet to prevent them from forming. He has already had two surgeries to remove them. Dr. Tom suggested a sonogram (not expensive) in order to do a quick check to see if there was evidence of any forming. It was a huge relief to know that there were none. I didn't feel rushed, found him very easy to talk to and he has a great sense of humor! The bonus? Dr. Tom has a killer staff - very helpful, courteous, cheerful and friendly.

AHave been taking my dogs there for years. I like that they support local humane society by 20% discount to humane society volunteers. They follow up on how your dog is doing, and my vet emails me to answer questions, etc. Only thing I don't like is that they seem to have a lot of new vets all the time. But facility is nice, and they apparently have a lot of high tech equipment due to it being a large veterinary clinic. They also have a relationship with VCA Veterinary Specialty clinic in Portland area.

AWhen Rebecca observed the state of Ruckus's anal area (where the skin was inflamed), she proactively assessed the need to have Dr Scholnic examine him. The two concluded that they needed to treat him for an infection using topological antibiotics in addition to the anal sack express. Rebecca's pro-active action prevented a potentially more serious infection from occuring. This is typical of the type of professionalism our dog recieves from the quality oriented Murrayhill staff

ADr. Castle and her staff are wonderful. Dr. Castle calls after any surgical procedure to go over what has taken place. I know I can call with any questions about my pet's care. The cost seems reasonable. It is a small practice and I feel like they know my dog and will treat her well.

AFRANKO'S DOG GROOMINGWe have been going to Franco's for over 30 years with all of our dogs. Over the years we have used all of their services with multiple dogs. I have always been happy with them. A few of our pets have been rather challenging and they always treated them well. I love them- Cyndi S.

FFRANKO'S DOG GROOMINGSo not go to this groomer! Our dog was in a small cage for 5+ hours for a morning appointment. When we picked up our dog he acted very strange and scared the rest of the evening. He was cut super short and has spots so short that he is irritated. His nails were rough and uneven And worst of all, they plucked his ears and gave him a severe ear infection that cost us $200 from the vet. When talking to the manager he blamed it on his breed and gave no refund !!!- Emily S.

FRio Grande Grooming SalonRio grande groomers landed our sweet dog Wally in the hospital after a “grooming session”. Cost us $100+ due to puncture wounds, ear hair ripped out (and bleeding) poor Wally was vomiting in pain and so THEY CHARGED US EXTRA $. Wouldn’t give a refund when I presented the vet bill. Horrible. This dog has NEVER had an issue at any groomer. The owner laughed at us when I called and suggested we “get a lawyer”. What? I asked him if he vetted his groomers for history of animal violence / abuse...he hung up on me. We didn’t care about the refund. We care that a creepy groomer is abusing animals so they can charge extra if the dog vomits in pain.- Katy D.

ADogs Day OutFirst time there and was thoroughly impressed. She does not use cages but works on each animal within the timeline she sets. My dog had a big patch of pitch that had to be removed and she did a wonderful job. I will definitely take my dog there again.- SUSAN U.

ARock Creek Kennels, Inc.It went amazing! Debbie and Craig and all the folks at Rock Creek Kennels Always go above and beyond to ensure that my fur babies are well taken care of and happy. They get taken an extra walks, get groomed before we pick them up— it’s so nice to know that they are so well taken care of that I don’t have to worry. I most definitely love the suite option for the doggies. Private rooms with toys, beds, and even TVs. Highly recommend them! A+++- Julie H.

ARock Creek Kennels, Inc.The staff was very friendly. They asked questions about him to get to know his personality and his 'special' talents (opening gates is his 'specialty'...). They took me on a tour and were very accommodating as I checked out my dog's run and reassured him I'd be back soon. As I left I felt confident he would be well taken care of. When I picked him up he was clean and happy. We will definitely be taking him back to Rock Creek Kennels next time we need to board him- Jen H.

ARock Creek Kennels, Inc.Made a reservation for our small dog for several days in one of their kennels. Was told what I needed to bring and dropped dog off at the kennels. My dog has been there several times in the past and always comes home in a very good mood. Have taken him to other kennels in the past and he doesn't seem quite so content when he comes home. They are very organized and seem to really love the animals, and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. I don't take my dog anywhere else now that I've found Rock Creek Kennels. He has also stayed there for longer periods (almost two weeks) and is his same happy self when he comes home.- Monica R.
