AOregon Chimney Repair & Cleaning IncWe had a very good experience with Oregon Chimney Repair & Cleaning. Jeff came to assess the problem, and he explained hid bid clearly and thoroughly. We got scheduled within a reasonable amount of time (considering our rainy weather), and when Joey came to do the work he was so respectful of our privacy that we didn't even know he was here! He replaced tiles, removed moss from the chimney and crown, applied waterproof cement to the crown, and ground out and regrouted damaged joints - even dyeing the mortar to match. He did a great job and left our place spotless. Jeff will return in a few days to apply sealant, and we're delighted to have a 5-year warranty on the work done. We appreciated the professional and friendly service, and they got the work done at a fair price. Total cost: $1300- BRENDA T.

AAmerican Chimney & MasonryAfter the scaffolding was erected, the top ten courses of brick were torn down and rebuilt, with proper flashing, A chimney liner was installed and the smoke chamber built up and parged. A chimney cap was installed, and some tuck pointing done. The guys were careful with the scaffolding and cleanup, and answered all our questions. The work was done promptly. The office could have communicated better, but there was no real problem. And the fireplace is now safe and works fine!- Karen M.

The results are a perfect, professionally finished brick lamp column, better than the original, with proper foundation and interior reinforcement. AChimcare handled my requests in 3 phases, and each crew member was friendly and professional and provided expert care! Phase 1: During basic fireplace and chimney cleaning, they filmed the interior so that I could see the extent of damage. They explained the next steps in a way I could understand and agree! Phase 2: They did all exterior work, installed the chimney cap, repaired the mortar, then cleaned the roof and work area when done. I was so impressed with how efficient and thorough they were! Phase 3: They repaired the inside of the chimney, and made sure that everything was sealed and clean. Every crew member was superb, but I want to give special kudos to Josh. He answered every question I had throughout the process, and he checked every single detail to make sure I had peace of mind to be able to use my fireplace again. The quality of work and the great teamwork impressed me through every phase. I will definitely contact Chimcare for my chimney's future annual checkups!

AWe were researching companies who would/could replace our old brick mailbox with a new one and Tom Payne Masonry, was our pick. We wanted to be sure to get a craftsman with years of experience and Tom seemed to display that! When we called, Tom returned our call promptly... he came out and gave us an estimate within a day or so and while he was here, we talked about options and kinds of brick to use for the new brick mailbox. He wrote up a proposal, we accepted his proposal after the weekend and set up a date with him to come out and do the work. Tom and his assistant came out sooner than anticipated (thank you for that).They worked hard and did a fantastic job on our new mailbox. One can tell now, it was built by a true craftsman. Everything was cleaned up well too... after the job was done! Tom is friendly and professional, he does high quality work and we have no problem recommending him to others in our community. We will keep him on our list for future Masonry work, that's for sure!

ASummary of Work: New floors, doors and trim throughout the whole house Kitchen: New counter tops, cabinets painted, new hardware, new back splash & new sink Fireplace: Remove old stone facade and hearth, New tile, new hearth, custom stained mantel Painted ceilings, painted other brick fireplace white Results: On time and on budget. There are not enough positive words of praise that I can share to describe our experience with Kayed, Brian, Victor and the whole Evergreen team. We sought a few bids for our home remodel and selected Evergreen because of our immediate chemistry with Kayed. From the very first encounter, Kayed established a relationship of trust and transparency. He took extra time to walk through our house in detail - taking measurements, suggesting design ideas and answering literally every question that came to our minds (we were first time renovators). He gave us a fairly detailed quote for the work, explained the allowances he was estimating and quoted a 5 week timeline. Though his estimate wasn't the cheapest we received, we decided to go with Evergreen because of the honest conversations we were able to have during the estimating process. Once the work began (we scheduled about 2 months out), the relationship with the team only got better and better. Every single person who came into our home treated our home with respect and care. We made the crazy decision to live in the house while the renovation was happening and every night Victor made sure the house was picked up and as clean from dust as possible. Victor consistently went the extra mile for us and was always considerate - he left our bedroom door on until the very last minute for privacy, for example, even though the other doors came off day 1; and just countless other little things like that really helped make the whole renovation a lot more bearable. Evergreen did use subcontractors for some of the trades and I have to say that every sub performed very high-quality work. Evergreen consistently uses the same subcontractors and I got the sense that Evergreen's projects were always the subcontractors' priority. Each sub showed up on time, when scheduled, and treated our house with care. There were a couple minor hiccups in our project (there always will be when remodeling) and for every one, Kayed was upfront, honest and sought solutions with us that worked for all involved. For example, there was a miscommunication around the framing required for the tile on our living room fireplace that resulted in the need for the framing and potentially the tile, to be redone. Without hesitation, Kayed assured me that he and the team would immediately fix the mistake and did not ask for any money from me to cover the additional labor. I truly could go on and on, sharing all of the positive things that happened to help make this a positive experience for us. When it's time for our bathroom remodels, Evergreen will be the first team we call. Thank you, Kayed!

Their bid was solidly in the middle of the bids we received, and they were able to complete the job within our budget. The work was well done with quality subcontractors.
