  • It all started when my landscaper lifted the cover off the box where the sprinkler backflow and turn on/off valves are, and discovered it was half full of water. Another plumbing company was out at my house at the time, and they thought it might be a leak at the connection to the main water line. So they gave me a quote for fixing it, and also I asked for a quote to replace the water service line into the house, because my neighbors had just gone through replacing theirs because it had a leak. Later that day I talked to my neighbor, who told me about Excellence Plumbing and what a great job they did. When he told me what they paid for the work, I was shocked -- it was much less than what I had been quoted by the other company. I called Excellence and they sent John out to look at the jobs needing to be done, and he gave me a quote for the sprinkler connection leak repair, and a quote for replacing the water service line. To do everything, their quote was much less than the other company's. I decided to go ahead with the water service line replacement as well as the sprinkler fix, because I didn't want something to happen later and possibly be without water for days. They arrived on time, and they were courteous and so kind. They knew what they were doing and did it efficiently. I am very glad I talked to my neighbors!! Excellence Plumbing will be my plumbing service from now on.

  • I had some landscaping done about a month ago and was very pleased. I contacted Dave to get a quote for a french drain. My crawl space was flooding because of the recent heavy rains. Because of the last experience with Preferred I decided to go ahead with the project. They showed up early on the first day. It was a fairly dry day so work went along as planned. The next day it poured and the crew was able to show me how much water was going into the trench and how it was flowing. They finished it up on the next day. I'm very happy on how it look and I know that it works. Will be calling Preferred for my next project! Special THANKS to the hard working crew.

  • Ability Plus Drainage listened to the problem I described and the end result I wanted (others didn't). Their proposed solution made sense (others didn't) and they walked me through it all and answered all questions. They did point out that part of what I wanted done was "belt and suspenders" (which I knew, but was willing to pay for as it was not the bulk of the work and was relatively cheap insurance). They showed up promptly every day they were scheduled, worked hard all week, and best of all, I can now report that our basement appears to finally be dry. Work performed: * They dug out a trench along the problem area of our foundation, down past the cold joint. A new French drain was installed below the level of the cold joint. * They painted waterproofing onto the foundation wall (this was the overkill part, but it was a minor portion of the overall cost since the foundation wall was exposed anyway, so it was worth it to me). * They installed Aquaboard against the foundation wall. * They created a swale for diverting surface water and a vertical connection to the French drain.

  • It went excellent. The work was done absolutely to our satisfaction, Lewis Landscape communicated with us every step of the way and we always knew what was going on. Our job ran into a few snags (probably more than a few) but they communicated everything with us. They let us know what was going on, why it was happening and what the options were to fix it. Then after the work was done when we identified problems with our sprinkler system (again, multiple times) they repeatedly sent someone out ASAP to make sure all of our new yard and plants were able to get the water they needed. I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone for any job.

  • These guys are great. Came out assessed the problem, provided a clear plan. When the time came to do the work, it was during a December cold spell of 15 degrees. When the work was completed, the project manager told me that since it was below freezing they could test the sprinkler system so if I had any issues to call them back when I fire up the sprinklers. Turned on sprinklers in June and had a few issues. They promptly fixed the issue. Great customer service. Thanks Sara and Raubdel, you guys are great!

  • The project with Lewis Landscape was very stressful. We had a French Drain installed around half of our house to help with drainage of the garden and keeping water away from the house. Issues: - French drains were not in dimensions as per contract - French drains was not aligned properly - French drains were not graded correctly - Clean up of left-over materials etc was not done satisfactory Running down the list of issues, I had to be constantly at the house, checking in on the crew and have them adjust their work. Luckily we have neighbors, who are in the building business, who pointed out the major issues with their work and advised on the necessary adjustments. In the end all work was adjusted to our satisfaction and within the correct perimeters for a french drain to work properly (e.g. depth, grading, level of stone etc...), this was all to the responsiveness and kindness of the project Manager Donald. He came out multiple times and had his crew adjust the installation of the drain. Fazit: You have to know exactly how it's done right, as otherwise, they'll cut corners and would have installed us a drain, definitely not working properly, which is a bit disappointing. Donald was a good guy and very responsive, but generally I feel they should deliver good work liberally and at the first time.

  • I provided him with my email address to submit his estimate. I have yet to receive the estimate although I've placed two calls to him as well as a text. I'm left to assume he doesn't want to do this work. Highly unprofessional behavior, in my view.

  • When they first finished the yard it looked great though the plants they used were very small for the price. After a few weeks, the soil settled around the plantings and showed much of the piping. They came back and added some more dirt and replaced a couple plants that died. They also drained my sprinkler system per our contract. One of my primary goal was to have the yard maintained. I was told by Scott I didn't need a contract yet just call him in February. He also noticed my japanese maple was dead. Well, I emailed him to remind him about the maple got no reply.I emailed him to start yard maintenance, no reply I called the office and asked to have Scott contact me for yard maintenance, no reply. If businesses get backed up I understand. I don't understand not simply returning a contact. I will be using another company and hope I can get the tree replaced. Pipes are showing again after all the rain and weeds are coming up. Not looking like a 8,500 yard upgrade.

  • Their quote was least of the 3 I received, but at the time I was not prepared for the amount of work expense due to an unexpected financial hit. I saw their work at a neighbor's house, and was amazingly impressed. If the money situation had been different, I would have hired them in a heartbeat.

  • Initially they were to come out the day I called (I took off work), then the person forgot to show up to the scheduled appointment and couldn't come out till a week later. The person finally comes out today, and doesn't bring any supplies to actually do any work. I am very unimpressed with this company and would not recommend them to anyone. Not timely or professional.
