    IN YOUR HOME
Our agency needed to remodel a shelter kitchen area, and picked IYH from a pool of many RFQ bidders as the most qualified and capable. The contract negotiations were straight-forward, direct, efficient, and very friendly clearly, this team knows how to work well together. The pre-construction team focused on the agencys needs and truly crawled inside the details in the RFQ. They efficiently kept within a reasonable timeframe as to start of construction and projected end dates, effectively dealing with our occasional concerns and one act of God event. Most importantly, the on-site team (project manager, site manager, technical staff) all were well-versed in the needs of a shelter, and IYH took very many steps to make sure the agencys shelter residents were both informed and kept safe, even making construction crew pictures and names available prior to construction. During the construction phase , IYH exceptionally managed demolition, debris management/removal, renovation (framing, plumbing, electrical (both low and high voltage), windows, exterior siding, materials deliveries, sheetrock, painting, cabinetry, countertops, tile backsplash, flooring, lighting), and post-renovation cleanup including in-situ deep cleaning. Also, IYH was responsive to the predictable mid-construction changes, including a contract expansion for flooring throughout the structure, replacement of the several bath/restroom features, and so on. The high quality of the team members and the work they have produced is evident in both now-hidden and still-visible ways throughout the shelter. Post-construction, our agency will continue to leverage the multi-faceted IYH maintenance and handyman services for both this structure and other needs and we strongly encourage other agencies and homeowners to check out the thorough, professional, and personal work this team easily delivers.

    Handyman Matters
faucet still drips, did not align door trim correctly, did not fix bathroom fan, did not properly install ceiling fan. Had said it could be done in a day and was not. Had to extend to a second day as part of the projects were torn up and had to be put back.

    Paul Cottle Construction LLC
I supplied the base, shower walls, plumbing fixtures and floor tile. The bath was done in 2 stages due to delays by Kohler in delivering items ordered. Demolition took place along with behind the walls plumbing, installation of the shower base and tile, and venting of new fan outside. The team, Mark and Audrey were prompt, professional, pleasant and excelled at all aspects of the removal and installation. Second phase completed priming and painting, installation of shower walls, completing of floor tile/trim, installation of towel bars etc. Once all was complete it was time to measure and install frameless shower doors. My installation was particularly challenging as the large shower panels couldn't make it up the spiral staircase. Mark and Audrey built a ramp to pull the panels up the the roof, then through the bedroom sliding doors. Every was done with the utmost care. There was one miscommunication about the shower doors that were to be installed. Paul immediately had the issue addressed and the doors were completed to my total satisfaction. I was totally impressed with the professionalism Paul, Mark and Audrey and absolutely love the work that they did. I was so pleased we are going to have them do our vanity/dressing area next. The picture below is before the glass shower doors.

    DCM Construction
OwnerOwners Chris Matheny and Dana Hardwick Matheny took our money (90k) and aband one the project after approximately 25k of work. Some major problems with the work done. Falsly listed electrician and plumbers on permits with city. Performed tasks poorly. Horrid experience.

    Neil Kelly Company
We took the bathroom down to the studs and are SO PLEASED with the results! This 1979 bathroom was transformed! Loved working with Barbara Miller the designer and Heather Steele the project manager. The bathroom is small and we did not change the footprint. The best thing we did was replace the door with a pocket door. Yes, it meant moving some electrical, but well worth the added cost. We were very impressed with the service we received from the crew at Neil Kelly.

Bill Hoyland Home Repair & Remodel
We initially hired Bill to install shower and bathroom tile we purchased from Pratt and Larson for our Rummer home in Beaverton. It was not far into the project until he revealed pretty extensive mold and dry rot in the area. He went out of his way to see if other areas of the home were damaged and sure enough they were. Over the course of 3 months, Bill worked with us on a full restoration down to the studs. Bill's communication throughout this time was amazing; he was honest with us when he felt it was better to hire specialists for certain repairs (although we were amazed at what he was able to do himself). Bill was also incredibly clean throughout the project, picking up after himself each day. He would often text and send photos during the day if he had questions for us. When the repairs were complete, Bill started the tile work. His attention to detail was stunning and he approached each challenge with a creativity we were not used to from previous craftsmen. Our tile was handmade and imperfect and we still don't know how he managed to lay and finish the tile so beautifully. It's truly an art and he reminded us why not every project should be DIY. Bill is our go-to craftsmen now and we are excited to approach him for our next projects. We HIGHLY recommend him.

    SISU PAINTING, INC.
Sisu were very professional. They came and measured and supplied a bid very promptly. The bid was very specific as to what they would and would not do. When we accepted the bid, they helped us pick good colors which were different than we had imagined. Our house looks much better than before. The painters came on time and did a very great job on preparation. They even fixed a small area of dry rot. Supervisors came daily to review progress. We are very pleased with the result and have recommended Sisu to others.

    Jacobson Construction LLC
They scheduled me in a very timely manner. The cost was a bit high for the work performed. It took some time for him to complete the project as there was some confusion about the details for the job (painting the new trim piece) and there was some caulking that needed to be touched up. But the job was eventually completed and it looks good.

    Rare Quality Remodel & Restoration
Called and made inquired about a bid. Took 3 weeks to get a bid. Informed that I did not mind the wait. Dale showed up promptly and took measurements. Was very kind and informative. Advised that he would have the bid within a few days. 4-5 weeks later did not receive bid. Called office and inquired. Receptionist informed me that owner was on vacation and would get back to me within a week. Have yet to hear back.
