Ron failed to obtain a permit as required by the City of Yukon. He has poor customer service, poor quality workmanship, terrible communication skills and was reluctant to fix problems. I finally paid the invoice in full to stop dealing with him. Also, I did not want his workers on my roof due to the uncertainty of him having correct insurance and the poor workmanship. It was obvious his work/workers could not complete the job correctly. I did not ask for license and insurance because I had worked with his wife and daughter for several years and he replaced a friend's roof.

I am including pictures so you can see the poor workmanship. The pictures include 2 angles of each roof vent and a picture of the front of the house.  You can see a large area of discoloration.  I sent him that picture and he said he couldn't see any problems.  Not once did he reassure me the shingles would eventually blend. Eventually, the shingles did blend and the spot is no longer visible.  But there was no guarantee that would happen and I could have been stuck dealing with that problem along with fixing the vents. In all fairness, the spot was only visible in the late afternoon sun.  He and a worker met at my house one day to take a look at the spot and it was overcast that day, which made it difficult to see the spot.

CTR Construction and CTR Plumbing are both owned by Ron Cole (aka Ronald Cole). He does not have a roofing license. I guess he has a construction license or plumbing license that allows him to replace roofs.

I did pay another roofing company to inspect the roof before giving Ron payment.

From first contact to the final finishing, Mike Combs many years of experience in the building business resulted in an outstanding job! The quality of the finished cabana far exceeded our expectations. Mike's professionalism was exemplary. He stayed right on schedule with rarely a day when work was not performed. When Mike said someone would be here at a particular time... they were here at that time or he was all over it. The overall building took about 90 days. . We can't say enough good things about this contractor!  Mike made the whole process a complete joy, and we are generally not that easy to please! If we build another home, I KNOW who our builder will be. We have no reservations about recommending this builder to anyone who wants a high quality custom home built for them at a fair price.

Poor negotiations from the moment we signed the contract.  He asked for $52K down (a huge surprise) but negotiated down to $11,500.  Learned 4 weeks later he'd not bought the lot we'd chosen and he asked us to chose another (we refused).  Did not build the home to the specs, i.e., the media room access stairway and door were reduced in size 4" which meant large furniture could not be moved up the stairway and the room could no longer be used for a media room without purchasing smaller furniture.  He failed to install plumbing to the upstairs half bath and insisted we pay an extra $600 to finiish it out but wanted us to build the house and to install the plumbing at our own expense after the home was built.  Told us we had to install a retaining wall in the back of the property when the contract clearly said the contractor was responsible for all dirt work and landscaping ($3000 we did it just to keep the process rolling).  Ultimately, we asked to cancel the contract because of the many shortcuts, deviations from the plans, additional costs that would not be shown in the final value of the home, and that he would not allow us to chose things such as faucet style, woodwork trim, etc.  We lost roughly $8000 by cancelling the contract which should not have been the case since the contract said all monies would be returned, but to take him to court would have cost about $20,000 so simply cut our losses.  STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!  The homes are mid-level construction and we noticed all his homes we visited have a problem with cracks in the ceiling between the kitchen and adjoining rooms.

o choose Mike Built a very well made house.  Very professional and very knowledgeable.  Able  to tell us what things would cost prior to actually building the house so we could plan what we wanted and what we could afford.  MIke really knows his business.  Most of his sub were very good.  Made practical suggestions on how to save money and what kinds of materials to use, as well as what vendors to check out.  MIke can be a little irritating at times when he says things like "you don't need that" but we are thrilled that we chose him because he builds a quality home.  You would do well to choose Mike and Savannah builders to build your new home.

Our friends had him build their house and recommended him to us. When he started our house he was spread too thin and he was just unavailable. Whenever I did get him on the phone I felt like he was just too busy to talk to me. When you are building a house you need to communicate with your builder. Consequently, there were a lot of misunderstandings and a lot of things that went wrong. I would not recommend him due to his lack of communication and approach-ability. When I brought something up that was done wrong he was rude on several occasions.

He came 48 hours after I contracted him. He gave a fair price and comparable quote. He was the only one who told us what h was going to do. I would highly recommend him. He doesn't make a move without telling me. He is concise and thorough. Everything seems written contractually.

They were on time.  Their estimates were right on.  If we wanted to make changes, they told us what it would cost before they did it.  The only negative is that this guy has been a builder for so long that he sometimes does stuff without asking us if that's what we wanted.  We love our house.  He did a good job.  His subs were good.  He has all of them for a long time.  They do a good work.  We are in this house for 8 months, and we have a one-year guarantee.  We still find things that needed to be fixed, so we call them and they come and do it.  We don't have any problem with them for standing behind their work.

They did an excellent job. Dustin Combs was the building contractor. We were very happy with the house, the service and the help that he gave us. I would recommend them to others. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They raised the elevation of the lot which caused flooding in our 8 year old home. When we brought it to their attention, they told us to deal with it. We now structural damage as well.
