First session went very well. Instructor is very knowledgeable and great with individual needs. Received email immediately after for homework to practice with pup before next session.

They were very good. We've known about them for years and we've used them for four or five years for different things. They are very knowledgeable about what they are doing and they are responsive to our needs. They do a very god job and we have been very pleased. The price depends on what you're doing; an initial private class is $250 an hour and a follow-up is $150. An eight week course is around $125. . Their price is a little high based on other companies. We're going back tonight.

I have been a client of K9 University since December 2011.  I purchased Tara, a 1 1/2 year old Great Dane that I wanted trained. I contacted K9U and started private lessons. The results were immediate.  She was very very skiddish and scared of everything!!!  They started off  gently teaching me the proper way to walk Tara and by the end of the first lesson I knew how to work with her to get "sit" "down" "stay" and "come". I was so impressed that I continued to take private lessons every week.  Each week our trainer worked with us until Tara was comfortable with a command and understood what what expected.  I watched my sweet, scared, baby girl gain more confidence every day and get control of her anxiety and fear. We also worked with Kyli, the staff groomer and now Tara stands quietly for bathing and no longer has anxiety attacks and drools and shakes when someone touches her. :)   She adores Kyli even though she really doesn't look forward to grooming days....lol After only a few months of obedience and grooming training, both she and I were ready to handle a class with other people and dogs.  She did fantastic!!!   On May 23, 2012, Tara took her Canine Good Citizen exam and passed with flying colors!!!!   She is now trained and ready to do therapy work in Nursing Homes and Hospitals. The trainers that I worked with (Vicky- our private trainer  and Debbie- the class trainer) are fantastic (as are ALL the trainers that I met!).  They have totally changed our lives.  We love to go out and meet people now.  Tara is so calm and well mannered that people compliment us all the time.  She no longer is scared to meet people.  She now faces new places and tasks with confidence instead of fear.  I took Tara by our Vet the other day and he said that she did not even look like the same dog I brought in the day after I got her. She is so much more confident and secure that he nor the rest of the staff could believe it. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and training methods at K9 University.  Their classes are inexpensive and absolutely worth it, as are their private one hour training sessions.   I LOVE K9U.

    Listen Up Pup
Listen Up Pup is very thorough and they provide very high quality training. This training is much better. It gave us much better results. They have a genuine love for the animals. They have the desire to absolutely make the best relationship between the owner and the pet.

Both my wife and I went with our dog to the classes and I thought it was the best puppy training I have ever experienced. This is our third puppy and German Shepherds can be a hand full. All of the techniques were well taught, explained, and then demonstrated. I like the fact that they don't make the owner feel stupid because we don't know everything about our new dog. Our dog is now a year old and we still use all of the training we received.

My dog just was sitting at home waiting for me to get back from work. He was not sleeping well at night because he slept all day. I would wake up to find him getting into trouble. These dog care professionals saved us both. Now I can sleep and he gets to play in a supervised area with lots of other dogs and is learning not to be afraid of all people. You can also watch your dog on live streaming video cam any time you want to tune in. The1st day was free so we could evaluate the experience. I bought a package of 10days for only $170 and used them to give us all a chance to adjust. He gets sooo excited when I pick up his red bag that goes with him I knew he loved it in less than 10 days. I continue getting the 10 day package but only use 2 or 3 a week depending on my schedule. We also went to class taught by Elizabeth. My little boy is very stubborn and it turned out I needed training in how to correct him as much as he needed to be trained. The method taught is very effective if you follow directions and practice before you come to the next class. Elizabeth is a animal behaviorist (I think I said that right.) and uses positive and kind methods to train your dog so you can become life long friends. Call them up if you want to have a great pet!! 2651 Venture Dr, Norman and middot; (405) 579-1244

    OKLAHOMA CITY OBEDIENCE TRNG
The puppies were great. They had different schedules for the classes. They are small classes. I liked them. We had a really good time there. The only thing that I didn't like for me was the distance, it had nothing to do with them but it was just that it was a far drive for us. Other than that, they were great. The instructors were great. They knew what they were doing. They were very helpful. They stayed after class and were great. They were on time.

We have a very energetic puppy who started in the little puppy class but her size and weight didn't fit so they suggested the older puppy class and she did very well. Many suggestions and helpful hints we could use at home was right on. The trainer helped us understand how a puppy thinks and their mind set, which is rather selfish, never the less that can be over come with consistent daily training. They have a very large room (air-conditioned) for most of the class then a very large area (not air-conditioned) to practice and go through agility work. Our pup loved it. We even built a few agility items to be used at home. There are smaller rooms for smaller classes or private lessons. The trainer was very pleasant and patient with us as well as the pups. She addressed each issue that was brought out by the pet owners which was very helpful. After the 6 weeks, the trainer invited the class to come any time to let our pups work on their agility and if we had obedience problems we were invited to stop by for help. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a good obedience training for their pup. They were easy to locate and was closer for us on the south side of Oklahoma City. Knowing that they also train service and therapy dogs was a big plus for us.

Our pup is just about to graduate, and so far we are very pleased with the classes. I have done the puppy thing before, including obedience school, but my husband had not. He quickly became overwhelmed with the furry little bundle of energy, but fortunately we were prepared and had her enrolled ASAP. Since he hasn't gone through this stuff before, I wanted him to be the one to lead her through the classes, however even though I've done obedience training, I still learned a lot in the class and was very pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of some of the little behavior tricks they showed us. Our dog is still quite young, so she still has a ways to go, but she is learning quickly and more importantly, my husband and I feel like we are gaining the tools we need to work with her. Particularly considering her young age we actually have fairly few behavior problems since starting Puppy Class. The trainers are very friendly (we had Katie for the Puppy class, and if I may say so, she has the perfect energy and patience level for a roomful of puppies) and very accessible. After the first class Katie encouraged everyone to take a business card and to call or email her if they had any questions/concerns throughout the week. She also hangs around quite a bit after class and answers any one-on-one questions you might have, or will walk you through some of the exercises that you might not have understood well in class. The school has a few large, fenced training and quot;yardsand quot; outside and provides chairs for you to sit in with your pup, and there's a water bowl and pooper scooper if needed. There is also a large building with indoor training areas in case of inclement weather, which we happened to use for one class. While I am happy it's there, the building was really my only complaint, but only because it had less space than the yard, and they also board dogs and have other classes, so there were periods where dogs in another areas would start barking all at once. With all the different smells together and the sounds, the puppies were particularly distracted that class. That said, I would much rather have it as an option for bad weather than not at all. We are very pleased with the classes and the trainers, so much so that we have already enrolled her in Basic Obedience (that class is $130 for six weeks).
