    Wonderful! Joel was one of the most conscientious technicians that I've ever had at my home. He got the doorbell camera working again very quickly and (for him) easily. He made changes to the system and showed me things to help me get the most out of it. He then connected my garage door to my new router. I hadn't realized that it wasn't working because I hadn't tried to use the app to open or close the garage door since I installed the new router a few days earlier. If he hadn't gone above and beyond, I would have had to pay for a second service call. I hope that if I need a service call again, Joel will be the one who responds. I know I will definitely ask for him. $99.99 service call + $25 trip charge was a little pricy, but I'm glad everything is working again.

    The only problem that needed actual service was connected with my relocation from Longview, TX to Tulsa, OK. Representatives of Medical Alert followed up with me several times over the course of about seven weeks until all of the necessary updating connected with this relocation was completed. I have already rehired them for continuing monitoring in my new location.

    They are always responsive as to alarm incidents. They have cut back on their service which is included with the service contract. Previously the service contract included sending a technician to assist with changing batteries and such. They have stopped this and sometimes it is an easy chore to change a battery but other times it is not. The problems are for motion detectors that are either close to the ceiling and require climbing a ladder and changing the system battery which requires disconnecting the A/C plug in the ceiling (which is screwed to the switch plate and the plate must be removed). This is difficult due to health issues but my understanding is that if they send a technician you are charged. The monthly fee is already high enough.

    The activation went well, the support person was courteous and professional. I am satisfied with the Livewatch Security equipment, it is simple to use and expandable with home automation but I haven't tried any of that yet. I am very happy with the website and app that are available for controlling the system. I think the monthly monitoring fee is a little high given that the equipment isn't completely subsidized in the price.

    Called ADT at 918-948-8651 - went directly to recording.  I entered the prompts for a new customer moving into a home with an existing ADT system and wanting to start service.  I was on hold for over 8 minutes before a live person came on the phone.  If it takes that long for a potential customer to get someone on the phone, how long would it take for an existing customer to get assistance.  I told the rep as much and clearly have decided to not even bother with having ADT as my home security monitor.

    Be very careful of signing anything that Advance Alarms wants you to sign, read every word VERY carefully before signing. We called them to repair our alarm(the battery). I signed the paperwork thinking it was a repair service agreement as Advance Alarms never disclosed that we would be locked in for 2-year service contract with them by calling them to repair. We have to give TNT credit as TNT clearly informed us of that requirement when giving us a repair quote, which prompted us to Advance Alarms afterwards. We just want to share our experience with those who don���t want to have their alarm monitored.

    Our initial dealings with them had been great.  But I have had several issues with the alarm and getting bad battery signals for the cell back up.  Each person I speak with gives me different information.  One person said the battery needs to be replaced next month they say it is fine.  On person tells me I have to pay $90 for someone to come out and replace the battery.  Another person told me I could do it my self so I ordered the battery $13.  But when I tried to get into the box to replace the battery I can't and now they want 90.  This system is probably old and antiquated it to me seems very expensive on a monthly basis.  I am going to evaluate other companies...
    Over the 6 years I have frequently get calls telling me their monthly tests on my system receive errors.  Yet they can't always tell me what is wrong and say they can send someone out but it will cost me money.  We had them come out several years ago and nothing was wrong.  The alarm continues to work the next time I test it so I am unsure what is going on.  I am just not confident in continuing with the service as I am never sure if the system is working.  Some of this may be due to the phone lines and I was told  had to have service come out when I changed my phone system and there would be a fee but it turned out the new phone system didn't affect the alarm at all and they did not charge me anything.
    I have not tried any other systems yet so they may be better than others in the market but I would try others first.  I feel that an alarm system should provide a sense of security but I am not alway so secure if this alarm will actually work?  And feel like at times they nickel and dime folks for services.

    They were very competitively priced. They use state of the art equipment, it's wireless, so it was able to go in really easily with our house that was built in the 50's. The person who installed it was very professional and kind. We really like the system itself. We were very pleased with their service and particularly their price because we've gotten with another estimate that was almost twice that much.
