Tire Buying And Repair reviews in Stillwater

  • I thought their charges are reasonable. They wanted to talk about alternatives, and they seemed honest and straightforward. I took my wife's car there one time, and it took them quite longer than expected to get it done. I had a little difficulty with that, otherwise the quality of work has been good.

  • As always Victor and his staff did a great job. I have bought several sets of tires from Pioneer and had major front end work done there also.  I also have my yard tractor and yard trailer tires done there.  Victor and his Mother always give great custome service and remeber you when you come in.
He knows tires and which would be best for you and your car based on what you want and need.

  • after less than 3 hours of driving this brand new tire went flat at 80 miles per hour because the valve stem core backed out because it was not tightened correctly by the tire mechanic when he mounted the tire. This ruined the sidewall of this tire that cost me over 200.00. After changing out to my spare I saw that the valve stem core was protruding and was finger loose. There was no sign of a puncture or nail or anything else that would explain the flat. I tightened the valve stem back up and pumped air into the tire and it held air pressure overnite with no leaks ,although the sidewall is now bubbly and obviously ruined and unsafe to even fully inflate -- the tire is ruined becaue of their mechanics lousy workmanship. The owner Garth Williams was infomed of these details by myself today and he made no offer what-so-ever to stand behind their work even though he knows in his gut it is their fault. He didnt even have the courtesy to offer to mount the replacement new tire for free. I have driven 40 years in many sorts of vehicles and personally repaired many sorts of tires and I have NEVER, EVER had a valve core come loose on me if it was installed correctly. The valve stem on the ruined tire looks like a used one and is pretty beat up and may not have been put in new as it should have been. This shop has been decent to work with in the past but it is sad that no one stands behind their work anymore unless they can't find a way to wiggle out of it. Since they know I can't "prove" that they failed to install the stem correctly they wont take the responsibility for it even though they know any other explanation is too absurd. This makes him look so sad and ridiculous and he knew it - I am glad I do not have to weasel and cheat like him to make a profit. The damage I will do to his business by word of mouth will FAR FAR outway the replacement cost of this tire. Well he had his chance to be one of the good guys and he blew it.

  • The work was done quickly and I didn't have an appointment either. Would definitely go there again.

  • Slow, unprofessional, and tried to add some extra costs on, and then over tightened the oil drain plug causing it to constantly leak oil. Thomas Ford fixed this issue.
