    The move went great. Their workers were very safe and concerned. on tuning we originally had it scheduled for the 13th but no one showed. Somehow it got missed but they rescheduled for Monday the 16th and although was 15 minutes late he did a fantastic job and the old piano was at its best again. I would definitely reuse them. Bill did a great job.

    Quality Furniture Repair
    I took the foot stool into Quality Furniture Repair and Chris took a look at the stool and told me what he could do to make it look brand new.  I had purchased the Ethan Allen piece at an estate auction.  Chris stated he could re-tan the leather and put new silver tabs on the stool, also taking out any ripples that were on the side of the stool. 
    In a few weeks, Chris called and stated the foot stool was ready.  I couldn't believe my eyes.  It looked absolutely brand new and the leather looked amazing.

    Ugh.  I could deal with the less than informed salesman, their fervor in making sure I prepaid for everything up front, my counter getting cracked, lifted up off its base and now unlevel...result of trying to install a  Bosch dishwasher.  The salesman assured me that there was no need to measure dishwashers...they were all a standard size.  Apparently, the Kenmore dishwasher I was replacing was a "different" standard size than the new Bosch.   I could deal with paying the same price (within 10 dollars) for a smaller dishwasher that wasn't the brand I had initially bought and wanted.  I could deal with having to prepay for the need to cut my granite countertop (for the new cooktop) before they knew, for sure, that it would need to be cut.  What I couldn't deal with was Metro's total lack of interest in making things "right".  I didn't get a call saying that my credit card would be credited for the extra $80 charged for cutting granite that ended up not having to be cut at all. No phone call saying they were sorry for the damage to my countertop and possible remedies.  I missed out on a rebate because the salesman didn't mention anything about a rebate.  If he had charged my CC on April 1 instead of March 29, I would have received a sizable rebate on my cooktop.  I found this out when I went to the Bosch website to register my appliances.

    On April 22, I emailed the salesman letting him know that I was happy with the appliances but had concerns regarding the items I mentioned above.  He responded saying he was happy I was happy and he would forward my email "to the persons that will review and make a determination on these matters".  I waited one week (April 29) and emailed him again letting him know I had not yet heard from these "persons".  I got a reply from him in the form of a forwarded message he sent to Lamar...see copy below:

    HEY LAMAR,

    HAVE YOU HAD A CHANCE TO LOOK IN TO THIS YET? I THINK JAMES MAY HAVE

    SUBMITTED TO YOU. IF NOT GET W/ ME FOR MORE INFO OR CONTACT MRS DIRECTLY.

     It is now May 3, and I have still not heard anything.  This morning I submitted a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau of Tulsa.  My husband and I have  been customers since 1991.  We purchase from Metro Appliances and More to avoid this very situation.  I understand that accidents happen.  It's their total lack of interest that galls me.

    UPDATE: On Monday, May 5, 2014, I received a call from the service manager at Metro. He was responding to my BBB complaint. He assured me that the 80.00 would be credited to me, that I was eligible for the rebate on cooktop since the invoice was dated April 4, even though my cc was charged on March 29. The installer will be coming out on May 9 to try and level my countertop. Not sure if they will compensate me for the two pieces that fell off the facing of the countertop. The service manager mentioned that he would discuss it with another person in the company, but their response to BBB made no mention of it. I am happy with the quick response to the BBB claim. I am also thankful to the BBB. Without them, I am not sure my complaints would have reached 'the right ears'. I said I would not do business with this company again, but due to their rapid response to the BBB claim, I am reconsidering. Hopefully, I will have cooled off by the time I'm in the market for another appliance.

    They did OK. I didn't have an expensive antique. This piece of furniture was sentimental. It was a chest of drawers that was my in-laws first piece of furniture in the early 1930's. |They glued a split in the top, re-attached the top and back, replaced the wooden drawer runners.

    Quality Furniture Repair
    Chris and his staff came and picked up the furniture.  They began stripping the cabinets and worked diligently on the project.  There were some structural issues that they repaired and also added permanent shelving in the old english school house cabinets. The cabinets are approximately 8' high.  The rocker was stripped, reglued and stablized. The coat rack was a challenge as it was from the 1920's and had been stained with a dark tar stain.  This had to be stripped off and some of the piece had to be glued. One of the pegs on the coat rack had to be had made as it was missing. The last piece was one I purchased from Quality Furniture and Repair which was a very unique piece.   They completed the redesign of the piece and stained the piece to match all the others. 
    I stopped by the shop several times to watch the progress of the work and was so pleased with the transformation.
    The work was amazing....and I mean amazing.  This furniture turned into beautiful, gorgeous pieces for our home.
    I have highly recommended Quality Furniture and Repair in the past for re-upholstry,  but the woodwork and re-finishing is also of the highest quality.  I have sent another piece for refinishing and also have four chairs currently being re-upholstered.  Most professional, kind staff and the best service ever.

    These chairs were my grandparents and parents chairs.  They had been re-upholstered once and they were outdated.  Chris Hittle made a trip to my house for pickup service and took all three chairs at one time.  He has had the chairs for a while now, but due to income tax payment, I had to put off having them worked on. They met my timeline requirements and made every attempt to satisfy me as a returning customer.  Chris Hittle and his staff are so polite and service oriented.   I would definitely send any and all my furniture repairs to his shop. They do amazing quality work. 
    I am very lucky to have found them on Angie's List when I moved to Tulsa.

    Quality Furniture Repair - I found Quality Furniture Repair on Angie's list. I called them and they actually came and picked up three couches and three chairs. The couches were the first project. I went to their place of business and picked out my fabric and described how I wanted to give the couches a modern look. Quality Furniture Repair has TONS of fabric to choose from. Once the fabric was ordered, I described how I wanted the tacks to outliine the couches. Chris and his staff began work on the couches and after several weeks, called and told me they were ready. The couches were delivered today by Chris and staff. The transformation was incredible. I just love them. Could not be happier with the work they perfomed.  I would never have dreamed the old couches I sent to them could turn into such great looking pieces of furniture. I am so proud of them and am very excited to see what they can do with the three chairs that I have also sent to them.  The couches they recovered are now a charcoal grey with silver tacks outlining the features of the couches. I am thrilled to death with the results and would highly recommend Quality Furniture Repair to anyone needing furniture re-upholstery.
