    MILLS TRUCK & TRACTOR SVC
Initial arrangements were made with Tara to deliver gravel for my driveway.  Tara was pleasant, patient and professional.  Their driver Bill was great.  He took great care with my property, as I have a narrow gate that he had to back up into.  He took time to look over my project and find out what my objective was before starting.  What I needed and when I needed it in addition to great people to work with.   The quality of the gravel was excellent.  I will use them again.

    We couldn't be more satisfied.
Excellent work by a very competent crew.
Started the job and completed on the dates they said they would.
We received a much cheaper bid but decided to use Edens based on their reviews and the professional way they conduct theirselves.
Great cleanup after job was completed.
    Thank you Edens.

    Perma Built Inc
I had gotten several estimates, 2 agreed that I needed 4 piers to shore up one corner of the house. 1 wanted to put in 6 piers along the cracked wall. None could estimate how deep they would need to go to reach bedrock as very little if any work had been done in the river bottom addition in which I live. They all said it might be 40-60 feet deep. Perma-built had the best price, set rate to 30', $5 per foot thereafter. They also had a good reputation here. I called on Monday to tell them I was giving them the job. They asked that I call back Thur or Fri to find out when the job was scheduled. They called on Wed to see if they could start the job at 9:00 Thursday. I could not be home when they got there in the morning but did make it back about 10:30. They already had the holes dug and were installing the piers. I checked on them again about 2:00 and they were nearly ready for the lift. Fortunately for my time and wallet they only had to go down 21'-24' to reach bedrock. They did the lift, checking the windows on that corner of the house for square both before and after the lift. The crack closed to the point it was just a line cutting through the bricks and the mortar of the wall. They proceeded to chip out the cracked mortar and re-pointed the mortar. This resulted in the crack being nearly invisible, and the mortar very closely matched the existing mortar. They filled the holes which they had dug, finishing so well I could not tell you exactly where the piers are. The 3 man crew Perma-built sent out was very professional, quick and efficient. The original estimate was for a day and a half to two days, they finished by 4:30. Thank you Kevin and crew for an excellent job. I recommend Perma-built without hesitation or reservation and will definitely use them if I need similar repairs in the future.

    OLSHAN FOUNDATION REPAIR
I was a little shocked when I received a structural repair quote for over 25 piers from Olshan.
I then paid an independant structural engineer that was not associated wtih any company to evaluate our home who determined that we only needed 3 piers.
Needless to say, we did not have Olshan do the work since they grossely overbid the project. (at that time it was about $500 a pier)

Moral of the story, always get a second opinion on major work, I'm glad I did.

    All Lift & Leveling
Before estimate was given, Mr. Kinard inspected under the house (piers, beams, etc) to assess what needed to be done and the cost. The estimate was within my budget, so we agreed on the work and the amount. Mr. Kinard indicated that it might be a couple of weeks before the work could be done due to on-going projects and that was fine with me. He also indicated that he would call and give me a couple days notice of when they would be out. It was the following week, and a week of brutal, single-digit temps, Mr. Kinard called and said because of the weather their other projects were delayed and would they be able to come over and do the work on my home (1 day notice). Arrangements were made for access to the house to watch while the leveling process was being done so that no damage was done to the inside (wall cracks, doors opening/closing, etc) and check the floor level. The worked was completed in one day at the price we agreed upon and I am confident that the worked performed is consistent with what we agreed too. Not many companies will work on sub-floor houses anymore so it was good to find a local company that does.

    The Perma Jack System
They didn't give me a quote because in their opinion the processes that they use were not needed, or would have been as expensive as new. They referred me to other local companies for estimates. I was told that I had a wall separating from the house. They told me that the wall was just fine. He referred me to another company that would help stabilize a decorative wall. Since I didn't use them for services rendered I don't have an opinion that way. I was very pleased and thankful that they didn't take advantage of me. I was glad they didn't say they could fix the problem and then later find out it didn't fix it.
