  • The best ever cabinet maker ever. Toby takes pride in his workmanship. He is very professional in all aspects. His work is excellent and affordable. I will be calling on him again in the near future to replace the cabinet doors in my bathroom. You won't go wrong by hiring Toby to make your cabinets beautiful again or to build a cabinet or two for you. The bar that he built has four doors and four adjustable shelves and is strong enough to hold the large piece of quartz hat now sits on it. The cabinet he built to put in place of the trash compactor has four drawers. The stand-alone buffet has four hidden drawers, four doors and four adjustable shelves. All the workmanship is excellent. See the pictures below.

  • We were very pleased with him.   We have used I don't know how many to come out here and try to find our leak and they couldn't do it but he did it so far, knock on wood.  They were punctual and if they couldn't come out they would call us.  I guess there pricing was okay, we paid a lot for that roof and I guess it's okay.  Good responsiveness.  Good professional.

  • . We began the project about one year prior to the actual installation. We ordered cabinets and installation of the cabinets. We had problems with installation, and went through more than one installer ( a couple of the installers did not know how to install cabinets). Had problems with the measurements, and had to reorder more than once. Owner of Urban Kitchens was frustrated at end, and did not really want to finish up the job properly. We are a good distance out of OKC, so that might have been the problem. As a result, we have many ongoing issues with the installation of the cabinets.. doors and drawers not really working properly. Also, two of the company's subcontractors were extremely difficult to work with. In the long run, the cabinets should have been custom done.

Possibly the problem with installers has been rectified, and they now have someone who can finish the job in a timely and professional manner.

  • He was done very quickly, did what he said he would do. now, since the storms, he has done his estimates and is coming again on Tuesday to replace the door. This company operates how a company should. by customer needs.

  • We wanted to replace our old drafty windows so we called Affordable Construction to give us a bid. We did not know about Angie’s list at the time. The sales man was a real smooth talker so my mom hired them. We ordered and paid for windows that had inside night/security locks on them, but after the windows were installed, with no locks, we were told those only came on double hung windows and are windows were just single hung! The installers were subcontracted by Affordable and they were NOT skilled professional installers, as Affordable Construction claims. The installers did not take their time removing the windows and just broke the glass out. As a result, shattered and splintered glass went everywhere! Glass was in our beds, scattered all over the house, outside in the flower beds and yard. It took me all day to clean up the glass in the house and days to pick up glass outside.  They didn’t take their time scoring around the sheetrock so most of the sides around my window needed to be repaired and repainted.  The windows did not fit in the opening so there is a 1/4 to 3/8 inch gap which they then caulked and did a horrible job of it. The sales man made a point of telling us how the corners of the windows were welded and thus very sturdy. The installers screwed through those welded corners to attach the windows to the house. I called the manufacture of the windows as to what is the proper way to install their windows and they are not supposed to be screwed through the corners. The installers didn’t care about doing a good job, so it took them less than a day to install 12 windows. They were missing one of the windows so they had to come back another day.  I called Affordable many times to complain about the way the installers removed the windows and that the windows didn’t fit right and I never heard back from them. I left a message with the secretary and told them that when the installers came back to install the last window they better not remove the window like the last time. But when the installers came out they did the same thing and even cracked and chipped a tile around the window frame in the bathroom which they just wanted to caulk! When I raised an issue about this, their comment was,” it’s just a 50 cent tile”. At this time I still have never heard back from Affordable Construction and our windows are pulling away leaving bigger gaps and air is leaking through the gaps. Do not hire Affordable Construction because all they care about is getting the job done quickly and making money, rather than doing a quality job.

  • Jeromy came out and we told him we needed the starter strip replaced, which Acumen's men had improperly installed, and the shingles repaired where the nails weren't properly driven in, and also replace shingles that had broken off. We were having a difficult time getting any roofing company to commit to giving us a bid to do the repairs. Jeromy seemed like he had a lot of experience and could find all the problems and get the job done. He told us he could make the repairs, but it might be some work and that he would be back when he had time to check it out better and give us an estimate, but he never came back or called. It would have been nice if he would have called back to say he wasn't willing to do the job.

  • Chris came out and gave me an estimate.  He was honest, professional and quick.  I had met him at a previous job site.  We set up a date for work to be done.  He gave me an estimate of how long it would take to complete the job (2 days).  His crew showed up at the agreed upon time and they worked for a day and a half to complete the job.  Even though there was another vent and a little more decking needed there was no extra charge.  They did a great job of cleaning up all nails and debris (There were 2 layers of old shingles to be removed.).  I am very satisfied with my new roof.  It looks very good and I have experienced no problems.

  • My mother had several estimates on both repairing the soffits and fascia boards on her house or covering them. The estimates were more than she could afford so she never had them fixed. Well, eventually some type of animal got into her attic and chewed through the electrical wires so we urgently needed the repairs done. Larson Construction had a special posted on Angie's List for handy man service so I gave them a call. Eric Neher came out and gave my mother a bid and it was half of what the other companies were going to charge. Granted we got what we paid for but they did a good job for the condition that my mothers house was in. The two men that were doing the installation were very nice and they did a good job cleaning up when they were done. They were also willing to listen to my suggestions and offer advice on what should be done with some problem areas. One particular problem area took them several hours to fix and it looked better than expected when they were done.

  • After trying mediation at the court house on the 24th of October as I was willing to pay for the time the workers had actually done some digging, Mr. Lumley refused to accept anything less than the 2500 dollars he was attempting to sue me for.  So we returned to the court room for the Judge to hear the case.

Mr. Lumley presented his verbal account of the situation and then I was asked to present mine.  I had prepared an itemized account of each days dealings with Mr. Lumely and the Judge asked to read it.  After she read it, she asked Mr. Lumley a few more questions and also asked me a few.

She then made a decision to judge the case in favor of myself.  and that was it.  He was very upset, as he got nothing, not even the $210 dollars I was willing to give him.

I would not recommend this person for any type of concrete work. He has not tried to contact me. So Be It !

  • All Right Heat and Air removed my old heat and a/c system and installed a new system. The majority of the work was done in one day, but needed to do some finishing work. The owner came back a couple of days later to do some finishing work to the door of the closet the furnace is in. He also found that a portion of the duct work in the attic needed replacing. He sent one of his employees by a few days later to replace the duct work. I am very pleased with their work and their professionalism and will use them in the future for all heating and a/c work on my home as well as on my two rent houses.
