DAn Affordable Fence and MoreI did not contract this company. I am writing this review based on how the company performed for my neighbor. They were ok until they got and cashed the deposit check. AAAA Fence ProsRey Huerta met with me in August to walk over the area to be fenced. I had to provide a detailed plan to my HOA. Rey gave me a written proposal and two detailed plans to choose from. I submitted my request to the HOA in September. They were very slow to respond. Fortunately, Rey was willing to work with us, in spite of the delays, and (in November) he had his team at my house at the agreed upon day and time. He estimated 3 days for installation, and it took about two and-a-half. The men had to jackhammer into solid rock to install the treated pine posts. (Rey suggested the pine, rather than the cedar I asked for, because pine holds up better than all but old-growth cedar. I googled the differences, and he was correct!). Due to HOA restrictions, I had to install ranch wire, not my preference, but Rey did a great job on design and the fence is attractive AND very sturdy. The first day he had a 3-man team at the site to install the posts.. On day two, 2 men, who attached the wire, then 3 again on Saturday to finish up. The men removed all debris before they left. We are very pleased with our fence, and with Rey Huerta and his team. Professional, courteous, efficient.- Kathy K.

APierce & Sons Fence CoI walked around my neighborhood looking at fences and started calling the numbers posted by contractors that were attatched to the fences. Pierce and Sons is the only (out of 6) that called me back. They promptly sent someone out that day and gave me an estimate. The work was started on the agreed day and finished quickly. The quality of work was good. Overall I am very pleased with teh work and transaction.- Travis B.

ACraddock Fence CoThey did a real fine job. We had heard that they did real good work from several people and had seen some of their work. We called them and they came out and gave an estimate. Then they started the work when they said they would and did a good job. They had to make us a special deal because we have two gates and they figured it out. It was a good experience working with them. They cleaned everything up when they left and they got the job done in a timely manner. There wasn’t any hurry on the job at the time they started and got it done. Everything was professionally done and it looked like it was professionally done. The overall experience was the best. I thought that the price was reasonable and I thought it was good price. They used good material and the quality was exceptional. I would use their services again in the future.- Dena S.

AABC CONTRACTINGOf all the fencing companies I have used in Lawton in the past 2 decades, ABC Contracting is the best and the most professional. Everybody showed up at the scheduled times, whether for the estimate or the job itself. Everything was done exactly as promised and in the promised time frame, and as usual they did the best job.They even replaced for free 2 broken pickets! (one was broken by PSO who never repaired it...). I read that some customers complained about them not answering their phone, but it is common that contractors are not always available to answer our calls: big contracting companies who can afford a full time receptionist usually make us consumers pay for such expenses and rip us off, so I prefer to use email and Mike was answering my emails within minutes! I never had any problem reaching him. Mike and his team were not only very competent and did a beautiful job as usual, but they were courteous and friendly. I feel that we are very lucky to have this level of professionalism available in Lawton.- MARGARITA N.

AAllied Fence Co Of Oklahoma City IncAllied Fence representative Joni was very responsive to my phone calls, always either answered the phone or called me back quickly. They arrived when they said they would, even though they had to drive all the way out from Oklahoma City to Lawton, OK, which is about an hour and a half drive. BBAILEY'S FENCE COMPANYThe work and quality of this fence is excellent. He had a day when he wasn't able to come out due to vehicle trouble, but he uses a heavier gauge wire, top rail, and post. He also reduce the cost cause the original measurement was shortened. I would have never thought about it, but he did. That shows alot about his integrity.- William F.

DAn Affordable Fence and MoreThe work done was good and he finished 98% of the job. I paid him and he promised to fix the remaining 2% the next day.He never returned and won't answer my calls. He is not a man of his word.He also gave me a good price for a second job, but he never showed up. Said he would, but didn't do what was agreed. I do NOT recommend An Affordable Fence Co.,- Don W.

FSalt & Pepper Fence CoOn March 2, 2012, I signed a contract for services on a 14ft x 16ft shed with electricity. I gave a $6,000 deposit on a shed that would have cost $9,500 altogether. To date, only the frame is up. I always had to contact the owner before I received a call back from him. It has been almost 4 months and it is no where near finished. All I get from the owner is excuses and back-talk. The wood has been in my back yard for about 6 weeks and is left out for the elements. Where it has been laid on my grass, it has killed that grass. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have talked to his chain of command. I am one step away from filing a lawsuit. Don't walk away from this builder-RUN!- Michael O.

The work was done quickly, the price was reasonable, and the fence has held up well to all kinds of weather. It is by far the best fence we have ever had, and I feel better knowing that when the dogs go outside, they are safe and secure.

FThis is a sad day when you have to write a negative review on a business run by your friends. On 11/14/19 I contacted Matt Black, owner of K & B Landscaping, out of Yukon, Oklahoma, to get an estimate on a wooden fence and bamboo removal. Got the contact from a friend I closely worked with. My story sounds like many of the reviews I have since read on this company. Lots of promises, and no follow through. A contract was made on November 15, 2019, which stated that the chain link fence would be left in tack behind the new wood fence. The chain link fence was shared with neighbors behind and beside me. I requested the fence be left because I have small dogs and wanted the extra protection of both fences. Matt asked me if he could use the chain link fence poles to the rear of my house when putting up the wooden fence. I told him he was the expert, and I would let him decide what would be best. When the fence was done, the chain link fence on the side of my house had been completely removed. On the back fence, he removed the top rail of the chain link and slid new 8’ poles over the existing 4’poles. The new poles allow the fence to sway back and forth when the wind blows. On 2/4/20, I told Matt that the chain link itself was left flapping in the wind, not connected to anything. He said his workers should not have left it like that. He asked me to contact the two neighbors involved behind me for permission to go in their yards. I got permission from one neighbor on Feb, 29 and told Matt. On March 26 I told him that I got permission from the 2nd house behind me. The owner was also concerned about the hanging chain link and asked for Matt’s company name and phone number. I gave it to him. On April 7th, I sent Matt a text because I had not heard from him since March 3rd. He did respond and apologized, saying the delay was due to rain. He said he would come by mid-week but I never heard from him. On April 14th, I contacted him again and said it was an eyesore to the neighbors. His response was, “I’ll let you know when I can do that”. On April 25th, I sent a text and asked Matt not to forget me and the chain link but got no response. On June 13th, I sent still another text to Matt and told him that I was disappointed that he hadn’t responded. In late July I sent a text to his fiancée, my co-worker, who no longer works with me and told her the story. I never heard a word from either one of them. I sent a letter and email to K & B Landscaping on August 14, letting them know I would be writing reviews about the mess they left my fence in and have yet to hear from them.

AAllied was prompt, courteous, and professional from the initial estimate to the completed job. They called when they said they would and performed exactly the work as agreed upon when they said they would. Quality workmanship and a long-lasting product from a professional local business is well worth paying for and represents a far better value than "cheaper" options. FThe pro cut it in 2 sized pieces. I don't think he screwed the sheet rock on. He didn't apply the tape properly. He was very nice and he did smell like he smoked a whole pack of cigarettes before he came in.

FHad my roof done a few years ago which was a mess during the work process but now having to have my entire porch cover removed and replaced due to poorly installed flashing and a large area of no roofing felt so now rotten. How can anyone be comfortable with doing such shotty work? Will NEVER recommend this company for anything. They make a huge mess and don’t clean up well either.
