Eye Care reviews in Lawton

Complete eye exam, covered under my insurance except for the eye mapping which was $33. Eye mapping is basically taking a picture of your eye for your records and gives the dr a better understanding of what is going on and if any changes happen in the future you have a history. It's easier and faster to do than having your eyes dilated. |Dr. Ross was very professional and answered my questions. It's a family practice so it's nice to have a home touch feel and quality attention when it comes to your eyes.

Everything is great. Their prices are right. It is a family practice. They normally have my contacts in stock. I did a lot with them when I was in the military because they took my insurance. I have to schedule my appointment out. I normally have to have an appointment because they don't do walk-ins. I've been using them for 15 years.

Dr K. Head was very thorough with exam, explained all the steps and provided pictures of inside my eyes and the differences since my last appointment. He also prescribed glasses since my vision has changed in the past few years. My vision insurance paid for a significant portion of the exam and glasses and doctor's staff explained the process for getting my new glasses using the insurance program.

It was very good. My boys are autistic but he works very well with them and takes the time with them and makes them feel comfortable. He's very thorough and very, very nice. They're very friendly. I definitely recommend them.

The appointments were made in a reasonable time, about two weeks from the date I called. We were seen on schedule, had adequate time with the Dr.
We also chose to purchase new glasses for some of the children through their shop. For one child, we just took the prescription elsewhere, but were not given a hard time when we asked for a copy to take off site.
I have gone back for follow up, and was given the same outstanding service. I will continue to use this provider in the future.

He is a wonderful guy. He does everything, and he specializes in glaucoma, and it's kind of hard to find doctors these days that specialize in glaucoma. He has a wonderful staff there; they always greet me with open arms and I go there quite a bit. I took my son there and my son got very comfortable with them; they laughed and joked around, and it's a very pleasant atmosphere.

One of the first things I noticed at Complete Eye Care, was that for a busy office, they don't leave in the reception area for long. The nurses and staff are kind and helpful with anything you need or want to know about. The office is state of the art, they have this 'Retinal Optomap' that takes a picture of your retina. The procedure is quick and easy and the doc shows you the image later, I promise you'll be thinking 'that's beautiful' and 'is that really my eye?'
Dr. Swanson is very friendly and informative, and after they've finnished examining your eyes, he'll make sure you are well informed about any and all options in regards to glasses, contacts, eye procedures.

Nice clean quiet office, wait time wasn't too long. The staff is professional and the Dr is great. The appointment did not take too long either, I wasn't sitting in the exam room for a long time waiting for the Dr to check my eyes. The office this Dr is at will do a price match where they will lower the price on their contacts if you can find contacts and a lower price anywhere else. They offer a ton of different brands and colors in contacts and also have a eye wear shop attached right next to the office. The cost for everything done at my appointment was a bit pricey but I had to remember I will only be needing to see this Dr once a year for an eye exam.

Our last visit was the day before Thanksgiving. My 2 teenagers told me they were out of contacts that morning. Dr. Ross' staff was able to fit in both kids and by mid afternoon we were on our way out of town for the holiday!

The examining physician, Dr. Silkey, was really nice. Did a great job with the exam. After that, the wheels came off. Ordered glasses (pair #1) on 2/19/10. They arrived 3/1/10 and the bifocal line was too high. The optometric assistants suggested I have a re-exam (although the prescription was not the problem). Decided not to do that since it was a total waste of the doctor's and my time. Second try on the glasses was ordered on 3/8/10. The bifocal line was measured at 15, but was ordered at 17. When the second pair arrived on 3/15/10, the line was again too high. Re-measured by an assistant and--right!--she measured it at 15. Offered to make a third pair. When I asked for a refund instead, I was told that the only person who had the authority to issue refunds was the office manager and that she was on spring break and would be back on Thursday (3/18). So, after nearly a month and a pair of glasses that has cost over $500, I have no glasses and no money. Hopefully, the refund is forthcoming, although based on this experience, I'm not holding my breath. UPDATE (05/07/2010) Unfortunately, this was a complete disaster. It took nearly a month (and two tries) and my glasses were never right. Did get a prompt refund from the office after the second try. Went to LensCrafters in Oklahoma City; they managed to get the glasses right the first time.
