  • Completed the typical new patient paperwork.   Gave the staff/Dr. a list of all medications taken as well as previous diagnosis and all medical history.  Seems like you do this both on paper and verbally.  Dr. ordered a reduction of prescribed medication that the patient was doing well on.  Dr. did this without consulting with the prescribing physician, who is an expert in their field.  Within days the patient fell ill and had to be hospitalized for DAYS.   While admitted to the hospital, the Catoosa Hope Clinic charged the patient with a missed appointment fee!!    A few days later, instead of an apology, a get-well-soon card, or a bouquet of flowers, the clinic sends a bill!

Are you serious, you want ME to pay YOU for your malpractice?

NOBODY at this clinic answers their phone.  Its 100% voicemail.  Even on their voicemail greeting they announce "Please do not leave multiple messages" and "allow us a few days to call you back".   Its like they are perfectly content with delaying.   To date I've called this clinic atleast 100 times (with phone records to prove it), left a handful of messages, but have yet to receive even one phone call back.   NOTHING.   Nada.   Zilch.  They do not return calls.  But they will send you a bill.

They use this sliding charge scale, based on the patients income.  Pretty clever system if you ask me.  For instance, the lowest income patient will be charged $0.00 for an injection.   Free shot.   For the wealthiest of patients, the same shot will be $27.00  10 Tiers all together.   I never returned our income numbers to them as I obviously would never go back.   But they decided I should be on income level 8, near the top.   They've padded the bill (which I will never pay) as much as they could and sent it off to collections, where they've added another $100 or so.  Its unfortunate all this happened.   They have the power to undo most of the damage, but won't.   All I want is for them to apologize to my daughter for their textbook mistake.   Just a 10 second phone call, a 30 second email.   Then they can remove the charges.   I made a copayment of over $100 while there, it'd be nice to get that back.  But it seems these are unreasonable expectations for an office that can't even answer their phone.   So I had to file a complaint with the State Medical Board.  My next step is the BBB.  After that will be the National Accreditation.  I've had to, unfortunately, use the media in the past to "right a wrong".   I'll be more than willing to go down this path again.
