Allen and crew were on time. Created attic walkover for repairs and maintenance. Installed insulation, new ladder, attic fans. Courteous, professional, clean.

    F5 Storm Shelters of Tulsa
I had my money refunded after an 8-week wait. Kept scheduling me in days it was supposed to rain. Then I would reschedule. Very unprofessional and rude. I told me he has several clients with my same complaint blowing his phone up. Told me to pick a different storm cellar if I wanted it now. That I had to pay more for an above-ground installed into the garage for prompt service. Very disappointed. I have four kids terrified of storms that have been told that it would be here and it's not. Having to explain to my kids daily, is insane. He rescheduled me again today (beautiful outside) for next Monday. I got mad and he just refunded money.

    EL Construction LLC
I searched for roofing contractors in Atoka, Oklahoma, who had a current and valid license. I found EL Construction. I contacted them to see where my roof was leaking and for an estimate of how much it would cost me to get it repaired. A representative showed up soon after my call to their company. He checked all areas of my roof. He caulk education a suspicious area that could be leaking but found no other problems other than a rain cap is needed on the vent pipe. EL Construction did not charge me at all for their services. They were courteous and professional. I will use this company in the future and have already shared their info with my family. As a side note, a company out of Ada would have charged me a ridiculous $250 just to drive to my house to look at my roof.

    Craig Contractors LLC
Other than a snafu with the plans, we have been pleased with the responsiveness of M.r Craig in getting his subcontractors here on time and never a no show. The progress on this house has gone very well and quickly despite having to do some workarounds. All and all I am very pleased.

    The Buckingham Group Inc.
First, the design was brilliant. In addition to desiring everything a one-car garage could afford, we had several specific and, dare I say, peculiar requests. In addition to requesting extra storage space and a storm shelter, we wanted to use the garage as an overflow sleeping area, a work out area, and a place to wash our dogs. Ed and his team developed a plan that was creative, practical, and cost conscious. Second, the process of construction was remarkable. We appreciated the detailed plan, specific estimates, and posted schedule for the work so we could plan around what would be happening every day. We can’t say enough about Ed Kaplan and his project manager. The on-site foreman was attentive to all of our ideas and concerns during the execution of the project. He developed an ambitious project calendar and kept to it with the rare exception of a few weather-hindered days. Both the on-site foreman and Ed were accessible and responsive to our communications during the weeks of construction. We were also impressed that Ed sought solutions that were as low cost as possible. For instance, the need to have the space heated and cooled was solved in a way that was more cost-effective than what we had planned. Third, the final product speaks for itself. The word that comes to mind is “excellent.” Our new addition is better than we dreamed. We found someone we could trust, someone who was not only talented but honorable. We found someone who would not only design our project well, but carefully oversee its completion from start to finish. We found in Ed Kaplan someone who takes true pleasure in doing things well and with integrity. We highly recommend The Buckingham Group and wish we had another project to pursue just to see them work their magic.

    James Martin
Last spring Bud totally remolded my kitchen, remolded two bathrooms, and fixed a fence that blew down.  He will also do small little jobs for me.  I have been using him for about 15 years.  He is extremely clean, you never find a big mess. He also is an architect, and can work on projects up to 5000 square feet.  When he says he's going to be here, he's here.  He actually works!  I definitely will use Bud again.

    EL Construction LLC
I had been looking for someone to do some repairs on my mother's home. And I saw some construction guys on Main Street in Durant, at a house. I pulled over and inquired about their services. They were with EL Construction, the owner Eddie Leyba, introduced himself, and his partner Jerry. Eddie said his company could do the work I needed. I gave him my number and my mother's address. Eddie Leyba bragged to me that they "were rated number one on Angie's List". I accepted this, and waited for his call. He called and asked to come by. He and 2 of his helpers met me at my mom's house. One of the helpers was Jerry. Eddie told me that he would not do the repairs to the inside of my mother's home, unless I also hired/paid him to replace my mother's roof, and level her house. He told me the extra work needed to be done, and he would not feel comfortable doing the inside unless it was all done, because it was needed. I told him that I already had some people in mind for the roof and the house leveling (which was not very necessary). Eddie insisted that they were the best, and insisted I use his company since it needed done anyway. I told him I would consider it. He left his 2 helpers with me to look at what needed to be done, and write me an estimate. Jerry went beside my mom's house and tore a piece of her siding off to look under the house! I asked why he had to rip it beyond repair, and he told me it would be replaced anyway. But I had not asked them to do siding work! Jerry told me that they would give me an estimate within 2 days. After 4 days, I heard nothing. I called Eddie Leyba's cellphone, he didn't answer so I left him a message and told him I needed something added the estimate. He didn't call back. Over the next week I called 2 more times. Speaking to his "secretary" at his business office. I asked her to have him call me. A few days later Eddie called me while I was sick in the hospital. I asked if he had an estimate for me. He told me no. He told me the work was going to be very expensive, and then he said something that I didn't thing I could believe my own ears. He said, "I frankly don't think you can afford the work, and I am not going to invest my time giving you an estimate, if you can't afford the work".. And then he actually asked me how much money I have! I told him that he had a lot of nerve asking how much money I had in savings. Then he hung up on me. That evening I left him a message demanding that he at least replace the piece of siding that his employee tore off. A few minutes later, Jerry called me acting like he didn't know what I was talking about. After I reminded Jerry that I had witnesses that saw him do it, he promised that he would fix it. And told me that he would call me the next day. Then a few minutes later Eddie Leyba called me and told me "no dice". He told me that he would repair nothing for me, basically undoing Jerry's offer that was just made. I told Mr. Leyba that I was disgusted that he would lie to me, treat me badly, and even damage my mother's property and leave it! I told him that his much bragged about Angie's List rating was about to change. THEN HE MADE A THREAT TO ME.  Eddie Leyba told me that he is good friends with all of the city inspectors, and if I wrote on Angie's List about my experience, he would call the inspectors and have my mother's house condemned! I could not believe what I was hearing. I called the head of community development in the city of Durant, Darla Smith. She told me that she, nor any of her inspectors had ever heard of him! And while we were talking, she got online to Angie's List and informed me that Eddie Leyba of EL Construction, had only one review. And she read it to me. And then she read the one review said he "did some electrical work"  for his one reviewer. Darla told me that after checking, Mr. Leyba's company IS NOT LICENSED TO DO ELECTRICAL WORK. And told me that he should be reported! PLEASE BEWARE OF EL CONSTRUCTION. THEY ARE LIARS AND FRAUDS, WHO WILL WALK AFTER CAUSING DAMAGE TO YOUR PROPERTY!

There were many mistakes.  I kept sending emails.  When words didn't work, I opened their (small scale) drawing in Paint, used colors, arrows and text and indicate what needed fixed.  They would fix something on the main floor and not follow thru on the foundation/basement drawing even though I specifically made the corrections on ALL drawings.  We had to make two 120 rt mile trips in to stand over the CAD person to make sure they made the corrections.  It became clear to me (a systems developer) that they were using software that didn't integrate the different levels.  Even the 15 year old 3-D Architect software I used let me know if my floors didn't line up.  Their software also didn't provide enough levels of exterior dimensions so that it was easy to see if the outside perimeters matched.  So after all this we thought we caught everything and let construction begin.  The basement length is 38'10".  Turns out the matching dimension of the house is 38'2".  Obviously it could have been worse if it was the other way around.  We gained 8" in the kitchen and great room but lost 8" in the master closet.  There were already so many delays due to the weather that we said to heck with it.  So to sum it up the two major problems (in my opinion) are lack of quality control and inadequate design software.
