  • Bad, bad, bad. Told me he was insured but when he dropped the tree on my house, I found out that he had no insurance. He left my house to purchase a large tarp until he could figure out what to do about the damage to my roof when he happened to see a man who does roof repair at a small store. He stopped there and paid him $660 to repair my roof. Although I considered myself "lucky" that he did repair my roof, I was very unhappy that he lied about having insurance and the unprofessionalism of the two characters. Their language would burn the ears of a sailor! I would never recommend their service to anyone. Their safety measures were also zero to none.

  • Like previous reviewers noted, his language and mannerisms were far, far, far from professional. His "helper" brought the large tree down on TOP my roof. I had inquired prior to hiring him if he was licensed and insured & he assured me that he was. That proved to not be the case. He used a bungee cord tied to his truck bumper in an attempt to pull the tree down after a wrong angle cut on the trunk of the tree. The bungee snapped, as was expected. When he left to go get a tarp to cover the roof, I never expected to see him again. In about 5 or 10 minutes he returned with a man he saw stopped at a local store, This man was a roofer. He asked him to come back to my house to give an estimate on cost of repairing damaged roof. It was over $700, however the roofer agree to do it for slightly less after some wheeling and dealing with Mr. Castleberry. When I asked to see Castleberry's insurance verification to file a claim, I discovered he has no insurance. Because the roofer Castleberry found was paid by Castleberry to repair the roof, I am hoping and praying that it will be done. I would never, ever recommend this man to cut or trim any trees for anybody. If the tree had not fallen on the roof, the charge was going to be $300 and that is all I had to pay out of pocket, if the repairs are completed as planned and no leaks are found after repairs. The roofer seems to be a very nice, honest gentleman and is a local. Although this service would normally fall under Tree Service, his company is not listed there. He told me when he was here that he also has a painting business and this is where I found him for my review.

  • Came out quickly and within 20 minutes knew what the problem was and had it fixed. Gave suggestions on what could be done as far as a new unit but didnt try and push the issue to make a sell. Very pleased with how they did.

  • Was working out just fine and then didn't show up for an appointment - when I reached out to find out why - was told that she was no longer cleaning and that she had sent out a blast text to let all her clients know - could have picked up the phone to tell me

  • The refrigerator was to be shipped from Oklahoma City (and lt; 2 hour drive) or Dallas (and lt; 5 hour drive). We disconnected and cleaned out our old refrigerator and prepared our old dishwasher for removal. Now, one day before scheduled delivery, we've gotten a call from Chris telling us the refrigerator won't be delivered until 6/12 or 13. We're without refrigerator and freezer and having to keep the contents in ice chests iced down. We're disappointed but, so far, haven't lost any food (frozen stuff is in a neighbor's freezer.

  • When I first called the number, he was polite and professional.  He gave me a price but said it wasn't concrete because I couldn't relay to him the sq footage.  I then asked him if his figures were within $20 high or low and he said yes.
The kicker for me was I live in a rural area of a community outside of a metro.  He asked me for an address to google map or mapquest it.  I told him that wasn't possible with our addresses due to the county in which we live got behind on their 911 addresses and although we've been given addresses, the vendors with whom put out the GPS data, has not yet updated.  He was persistent that he could.  I explained to him again that it could not.  I asked him to take down directions.  He proceeded to tell me he would call me the day of and get them.  (BTW:  He had told me there would be a travel charge, which I'm used to).  So that he could be accurate in his estimate of travel charges, I told him to google from his location to the hown proper and add 5.5 miles and he would be accurate.  He did that while on the phone and gave me an estimate.
The day of, he calls me and he is lost somewhere out in the area because he tried to google map it.  I told him that because the roads deadend and curve that I couldn't tell exactly where he was and therefore could not guide him to the house.  I told him he needed to go to the town and to a certain convenient store and call me back and I would give him directions from there.  He didn't.  He called me again, still lost.  I, being on the phone at work, had lost my patience and told him to call my husband who was at the house waiting on him.  He finally made it there but then he calls me again and tells me the price is higher and more than $20.  I told him I had explained to him that the LR was a larger than normal, but he was persistent and also told me that the travel charge would be more.  I asked him why and he said because his odometer read different than Google.  I told him I was not going to pay for him getting lost.  He said he wasn't, but because he was already there, driven more than 30 miles to get there, I asked him if he would go back to his orginal estimate of the travel charges that I would be ok and to go forward.  He, at first, bawked and I explained that he was already there, what's $5?
At this point, I was very concerned about his serviceses and called my husband and advised him of the situation and to make sure his job was good or make him redo before he is paid.  After it was all said and done, he did an awesome job.
When in doubt about an area unfamiliar to you PLUS on country roads, take the advice of those who know it well.

  • They broke my trees, and they did not clean up like they said they would. Then they left nails sticking out of the roof, and nails all over the roof which still blow off every once in awhile. He also voided my warranty on my windows when he screwed through a bunch of them.

  • Sooner Plumbing was subcontracted by Power Ready (mentioned only because they were the intermediary that hired Sooner Plumbing and were the company we talked to regarding set up of scheduling, etc. This is not relating to a review of Power Ready) during installation of a whole-house stand-by generator (thus Sooner Plumbing was not paid directly by us and I do not know what they charged for their service).

They were to have installed a gas line that connected existing gas service to the generator on the same day as the rest of the installation was done. They did not.

The following morning, I received a call from Power Ready asking if I could meet the plumber at the service address and quot;in an hour to an hour and a halfand quot;. The person from Power Ready stated that they were unaware that Sooner Plumbing had not completed the work the day before, and that they were told the plumber needed to go get some parts, but they had not returned.

Apparently Power Ready was not aware of any of this until the plumber called them to schedule me to meet them in an hour. I told them it would take me an hour and 15 minutes to get there. The plumber did not show up as scheduled. Three and a half hours after the time SET BY SOONER PLUMBING, I started calling to find out what was going on. I was told they would be there and quot;within the hourand quot;. I stressed that I had some other things that I needed to do and if they were going to be more than an hour, they needed to call me on my cell phone, and made sure they had that number.

Two and a half more hours passed before I heard from them, at which time they once again said they would be there and quot;within the hourand quot;. This time they actually did show up. They did the installation and re-lit the water heater pilots. All told, I waited six hours and 45 minutes for them to arrive after they themselves had set the appointment time. The next day, I discovered that they did not re-install the cover for the crawlspace, which was just icing on the cake.

I would never EVER hire Sooner Plumbing again.
