    My husband was forced to medically retire due to needing a Heart Transplant.  He received Medicare due to his disability and Aetna became the "secondary" insurance.  Once my husband received his Transplant and was released by his doctor to return to work he was no longer eligible for Medicare.  Although he does not have Medicare Aetna is telling us that they are the third payer.  They will not cover any expenses not paid by his current main health insurance company that is provided through his new employer because they "assume" he has medicare and will not pay what should be Medicare's responsibility.  I asked them what documentation did I need to provide to them to prove he did not have medicare any longer and I was told by Brandon that it did not matter whether he had Medicare or not, they would "assume" he did.  I asked why we were paying a premium to them each month if they were not going to pay the claims and the answer that Brandon kept repeating was "we are the third payer". 
    Aetna will use any excuse they possibly can to get out of paying claims.

    This is the absolute worst hospital I have ever been to. I have visited this hospital on numerous occasions for myself and members of my family. Every single experience has been an absolute disaster. My 18 month old son was a patient in the hospital for 3 days. At one point he had vomited and had diarrhea all over the bed and floor of his room. We asked for assistance over the intercom, waited 15 minutes, then went and told the nurses station. We had to clean every thing up ourselves as best we could because not a single person bothered to come in for over THREE hours! My son's doctor diagnosed and treated him from the hallway without ever even looking at him! We had to seek out a second opinion from a doctor who would actually examine him. On another occasion we were in the Emergency Room with our son, who also happens to have severe allergies and eczema. The ER doctor who was over our case asked me what was wrong with his skin and told me he had NEVER heard of eczema! The billing department also has issues beyond belief. I have always made my payments in person, in order to receive a receipt because it always takes me several months to convince them that I payed, even when I have the receipt to prove it. At one point we were told that we owed money for a service that was over a year and a half old. When we asked them how much we owed and a detailed list of what it was for, they told us they did not know. It has been over two and a half years and they are still unable to tell us what we owe them for or even how much we owe. I have several more stories, and every person I know also has a horror story about this hospital.
