I dropped off my Dodge Ram 1500 for a fluid leak on Friday afternoon.  Mike (the store manager) told me that it would be ready by the following day. He personally checked out the truck and said that the water pump needed to be replaced and gave me an estimate of 520.00.

The truck part had to be purchased from Oklahoma City and was late in getting to the store. Mike stayed after hours in order to get my truck back to me that day. He also washed down the interior where coolant had sprayed from the water pump. He cleaned the interior of the truck and washed down the outside "just in case" coolant had gotten onto the hood and front end.
The total price was 21.00 under the estimate and Mike gave me two free oil change vouchers since the "truck wasn't ready before closing".
He saved me money, cleaned my truck and gave me free vouchers for something that wasn't even their fault!

I was going out of town for 2 weeks and saw the perfect time to get my car serviced. In the past I had used Mike's for all of the work done on my car, smaller things and I knew a man that was the mechanic there and always had him do the work. Always great service. Before I left town this time, I had learned the mechanic didn't work there anymore and had gone on to another line of work. I figured I'll let another mechanic do the work, no big deal. Now, I certainly did mention the steering wheel problem when I dropped the car off. (I usually dropped it off late in the evening or early, before they opened, called the office and let them know they would find my car there) I stayed in contact with them a couple of times, they always gave me an estimate and this time when I talked to them a few days after I left, I was told they found an oil leak deep inside the engine. Well I knew I had some kind of leak so I told them while they were there, just go ahead and fix it, I knew eventually I would need to have that fixed too. I was quoted the 1,200 price! Yikes!!! Knowing next to nothing, and this is how I feel about all car work, I need someone who I trust completely and is not in it just for the money. I told them to go ahead. When I got back into town, it was late at night and when I started my car, my heart sank and my ire rose! The steering wheel was still very stiff and noisy, and furthermore, my car still had that smoky, oily smell from a leak!, It was if nothing was done at all. When I called the next day, I was told they didn't realize the steering wheel needed work. They told me to bring it back in and they would do that work and I was shocked that they said it may cost even more. Now I don't expect work for free but at this point, I was upset that I paid the 1200 and the problem still was not resolved. They told me what work they did, but I wouldn't know one way or another cause when I look under the hood, all I see is an engine. I brought the car back, and they had it fixed that same day, and charged me nothing. I will never use them again. I eventually took my car to another shop and they fixed that oil problem for $300.

I took my son's car (with over 340k miles) there after two other service providers in town did not fix it properly. They scheduled it, diagnosed it and completed the work within the promised time. I will definitely spend the few extra $$ per hour for labor.

Took my son's car in to have the timing belt and all that went along with it changed.  I picked up the car and by the time we got it home and turned it off, it would not start back up.  I called at 5:31 and since they closed at 5:30 no one answered.  When I called a friend for help, it turned out that they had not tightened things back up and a couple nuts/bolts were missing.  I went back to the provider they next day and was treated as if I was not being truthful.  Within a year, the timing belt came off while driving and had to actually had to have a valve job, timing belt, tensioner and water pump replaced.

They told me that the noise was the alternator.  I told them it was between the engine and the wheel, which was probably the transmission.  After much discussion I finally agreed to replace the alternator.  Picked up car and it still made the same noise.  Took it back to Stuart, got into heated discussion with the person at the service desk, went to service manager, who agreed to reinstall my original alternator and refund the charges.  Took car to Bankston Nissan in Irving, TX where they replaced the transmission at no cost to me because there was a recall notice on that transmission.

Wife's 2002 Buick Century with only 57,000 miles had a plugged catalytic converter.  Todd at the Auto Shop quoted 740+ for parts labor and tax.  Also claimed the transmission fluid (which was changed 11 months/12k miles ago) was, and I quote, "nasty".  That was 100+ for the fluid, labor and tax.
I had checked the trans fluid the day before, it was still bright red and smelled normal.  My uncle owns a car dealership in IL, he looked in the books and saw that the books only call for 0.8 hours of labor to replace the catalytic converter and that I should take it somewhere else.  Was referred to another place by a friend who had been in town longer than 6 months (we're military).  New place said they could do it for 300-315 dollars.
I wanted to hear Todds side of the story as to why his estimate was over double the normal price.  You know, give him a chance to lower his estimate or at least explain why exactly it was worth paying double.  I asked politely, over the phone, and Todd instantly got angry and raised his voice claiming that it had to be OBD-II which is very expensive and a few other things.
My wife was standing in our kitchen over 15 feet away staring at me in disbelief that she could clearly hear him even though my phone was NOT on speaker phone.
Ive had places in the past diagnose a problem free of charge even if I didn't have work done.  I told Todd I was going elsewhere, "but I'll pay you 50 bucks for the diagnosis."  I was still trying to be fair even though he had completely lost his bearing and was being the model of unprofessionalism.  Apparently he charges 84 dollars.
Took wife's car to the other place that morning, 1.5 hours later we got a call saying it was done (with an OBD-II catalytic converter) for  295 dollars.  The other shop also agreed with me that there was nothing wrong with the trans fluid either.
NEVER GO TO THE AUTO SHOP IN ENID.

Arrived in the morning, there was no wait and the technicians started working on my vehicle immediately. They did a quick and complete job, my only negative was the cost of the service, but I suppose that's probably what it would cost anywhere.

We asked for Northcutts to provide a quote for this service. This was a vandalization of a work vehicle and we wanted them to order parts but give a quote for the total cost and service. They ordered the parts but then did all of the repairs without consent for work being made. The made little effort to remedy the situation and their prices are on the high side.
