Auto Body Repair reviews in Enid

You can not even tell it was damaged.
They repaired and refinished front door shell frame - front door edge jamb - outer mirror - rear door - rr door handle - quarter and rocker panel.  It took 7 business days to do the work.  They had it one day longer than they had estimated.

What can I say about Lyles Body Shop? Well let's start at the beginning. I went in and got an estimate on my vehicle, they seemed friendly and knowledgable, he gave me a fair bid for my repair and seemed confident in their ability to do the job. That is the end of the good things I have to say... After that, it is a horror story that should be made up by Stephen King. So my wife and I schedule the job to be done on Monday March 24th. He said it would take 3 days. We get a call Tuesday the 25th saying they haven't started any work yet, but just realized they need $460 more, than their original bid of $920. I explained to him that I know how an estimate works and can understand if the job will cost more than the estimate, but no way will in pay him 50% over his original bid. After negotiations I agreed to pay him $1050 cash, he would not accept that amount in a check or card... Sound fishy yet? Well I haven't told you how we came to that number, see he called my wife and told her he had torn down the vehicle and just then realized he was going to need sooo much more money, he said he needed $1380 or he would not work on the car any more, he also asked her if we had filed a claim with our insurance. So my wife told him that we had filed the claim, but she couldn't give him the go ahead without talking to me. Obviously I was furious when I heard this, so I called them back and spoke with them about the ridiculous increase in the bid, he explained to me that he never told my wife $1380, but she told him we were to receive $1380 from the insurance company, and that is why we needed to pay that amount. We did not receive that amount first off, and secondly he continued to tell me how my wife was lying about their conversation. After a lengthy debate I explained to him that the next highest bid was $1050, and he could do it for that amount or I would take it else where. (Which I wish I had!). He agreed to do the job for that amount and I told him to move forward with the repair. Am I done? Not even close! The following day, March 26th he called me and informed me that he talked to my insurance company and found out that I received a check from them in the amount of $1250 and that he knew I could pay him more money for the job, explaining to me how they were loosing money, and doing me such a huge favor by doing the job in the first place. So I called my insurance company and asked if any one there talked to him, to which of course they said not only did they not talk to him but that they would have never given him my personal information, which I knew because that was not the amount the insurance company have me any way. So I called him back and explained to him that whatever deal was made between me and the insurance company was just that, and the deal that I made with him was totally separate and he needed to honor the "second deal" we made. After another lengthy debate filled with more lies he agreed he would complete the job for the agreed upon amount. As if I was robbing him. The end? NOPE! Finally on Thursday the 27th, (the day after they originally told me my vehicle would be finished) the owner Frank, who is not Lyle, (because apparently Lyle sold Frank the company and let him keep the name) called me explaining that we got off on the wrong foot and he wanted to fix it, in which case I was almost elated to hear. So Frank told me that he bends over backwards to help his customers and that he would do the same for me. He explained to me that if he wanted to he could charge me the entire $1380, keep my vehicle until I paid in full and charge me a $20 per day storage fee until I did pay the bill and there was NOTHING I could do about it, but he wasn't going to do that because he was a nice guy. Nope, he would accept my agreed upon amount of $1050, but he was going to call the law, and report me for insurance fraud!!!!!!! That was my favor! I explained to him how the insurance laws work and that obviously he was very good at robbing people, however I would not allow him to take advantage of me. After 4 days of complete h*** I finally got my vehicle from these "professional repair men" and I have to say the vehicle was a mess! There is repair dust all over the inside and outside, they left dirty finger prints all over my vehicle, and the floors are covered in a white powder rock substance that I can hopefully clean out. I can not tell you enough times to never use these guys. Please spare yourself the pain, and the money, because if they can scare more money out of you they will. I agreed to give them $130 more than our original agreement and was still threatened,
