    SimplYou Day Spa
Arrived early and waited in waiting room with comfortable chairs, water and snacks available.  Was in the waiting room for a short period of time before I was greated by the technician. I had an appointment with Lori for a chemical peel facial. I was treated with respect and had a relaxing facial.  I have had pedicures and manicures at the spa along with massages for the last few years.  I have had about 6 chemical peels and my husband has monthly massages at the spa.  Their prices are very comparable to other spas and I am always treated with respect and feel comfortable with the staff.

    Bush, Dr Mike D.
I had seen Dr. Bush in the past, the last time was about 5 years ago. Unlike many chiropractors, he does not try to hook a patient into a never-ending set of appointments or try to push "lotions, potions, and ointments." He states that he typically solves a problem the first visit, but sometimes it takes two visits. He told me if he had not fixed the problem after the second visit, his ego got bruised. True to form, he got my back fixed up, good as new, even though it did take two visits.

    Leba Chiropractic LLC
I had started to have back pain and since I would be working more phyiscally in the near future, I wanted to make sure that I did not hurt my back any more. Shortly after arriving, the staff put me on a table with heating pads, that massaged my back for a few minutes. It was too painful to my lower back, so they took me off of it and moved me to another room where they put the electronic pulses on my back to help relax my muscles. They then took xrays (I think they took the xrays next, I may have that part a little out of order). After just a short wait they took me to the exam room at which time Dr. Leba asked for a second set of xrays because he thought that there was an error. Unfortunately the xrays turned out the same the second time also. My lower back is "crushed" meaning it gets smaller instead of larger like the normal back does. My back is also straight in sections that it is supposed to curve. And he pointed out a few spurs. He showed no worry and felt that we could get a handle on things with some treatment and possibly avoid any future surgery for my back. This is not the language that he necessarily used but how I know how to describe it. Dr. Leba did some adjustments and gave me a few exercises. I have returned to Dr. Leba a few times to follow up on the treatment.

    Blanton Chiropractic
Love this place! I have to use chiropractic care to keep away from having back surgery and Blanton Chiropractic is by far my favorite EVER! Everywhere I've been after being injured in the Army and Dr. Blanton is the best yet. He doesn't schedule needless follow-up appointments. If you need it he'll tell you. Otherwise, he says your body will tell you when you need to come back, so just call me. Every time I call I get in quick. And the price is amazing. I'll drive a hundred miles if I ever move just to continue under Dr. Blantons care.

    Bodyworks Spa and Salon
My first treatment was a simultaneous pedicure/facial.  I was disappointed that I was asked to remove my own old polish, but understood the need for efficiency on a special night.  I would have really considered the treatment more of a polish change than a pedicure.  Julia, the owner briefly rubbed my heels with a pumice stone (still leaving rough patches) and rubbed some lotion into my feet.  She then repainted the nails.  Honestly, I could've done a better polish job myself. The facial started with makeup removal and felt nice.  The facial technician (Britanny?) was rather tentative, so Julia took over.  Then Brittany applied my mask and let it dry.  Something about the mask smelled familiar.  After she removed the mask, Brittany had to ask Julia where the "Seabreeze"astringent was.  Seabreeze???  Like the stuff I used 25 years ago in junior high???  Sure enough, that's what it smelled like.  When she was finished with my facial, I peeked over at the mask supplies on the table.  It was a very cheap tub o' mask that I could buy retail at Walmart or the local beauty supply shop.  Disappointing!  I know this was a mini-version, but it still was overpriced for the supplies used.  BUT, the technicians were both very soothing. My first massage was with Ian, one of the massage therapist.  He is licensed and explained what he would be doing (making sure I was comfortable).  He was AMAZING!  I've had countless massages and it is hard to strike the right balance between too tentative and too painful.  Ian got it right!  I couldn't believe the massage only lasted 20 minutes.  I became that relaxed that quickly.  I can't wait to schedule a full hour massage with him next.  My second massage was with Brittany, the same girl who was my facial technician.  She is also a licensed massage therapist.  Because Ian focused on more on my back and legs in his massage, Brittany focused on my shoulders.  I asked her to also work on my neck, but she didn't seem to do much in that area.  Brittany was a good masseuse, but she did what so many like to do.  She would push to the point of pain in certain spots.  It's now 4 days later and my neck and shoulders are more tense than when I started.  Tensing does not lead to relaxing.   All in all, I was pleased with my spa night experience at Bodyworks.  It wasn't my first visit to the spa and it won't be my last.  Several services I'll skip, but I am very pleased with Ian and Julia.
