Waddell Water Pump Sales & Service
Woke up to no water in the house. Looked on Angie's list and placed a call to Mr. Waddell he said he would be right out. He was there within the hour. He determined it to be the well pump. He fixed the problem. He has AWESOME customer service I will be using Mr. Waddell from now on. Can't thank him enough.

Waddell Water Pump Sales & Service
Excellent, honest work! At 6:30 in the morning on a weekday, we thought our well water pump had stopped working because we lost all water while getting ready for school and work. We called Waddell Pump as soon as they opened. He's a one man show, but he promised to come out that same day and he was there by 1:00pm. He tested everything, said we didn't need a water pump but that our line was frozen in one small place near the gauges. He thawed it out, replaced a pressure gauge, double checked everything, and drew us a schematic (we didn't have one from prior owners). It was just Mr Waddell, but he's efficient, very patient, kind and honest. He could have said we needed a new pump and we wouldn't have blinked an eye - all the testing we did before he got there sure led us to believe it was bad and the current pump is 12 years old. We have found our new well and pump service!

    Waterloo Road Pump & Supply
I had been noticing low water pressure for a while. Checked the pressure gauge and noticed the water pressure was at 20 lb. It should be between 40-60 lb. I shut off the water and replaced the gauge and pressure switch. This made no difference. Also noticed that the pump never shut off. Called Waterloo on Sunday and described my symptoms. He suggested that I had a leak between the pump and the house. He said he could come out that day and would charge me time and a half, or I could wait until Monday and pay the regular rate. Obviously I chose Monday. The well guy showed up on time, he and I discussed the situation, I told him everything I had noticed and done. He asked me to shut off the well's power, helped me move my wind mill and moved his truck into position and quickly started to pull the pump up. After about 60 feet of pipe he found the cracked pipe. Once he got the pump completely out of the well, checked the date on it and we discussed replacing it. It had been in place for 31 years, I decided to replace it while we had it up. He measured the water and well depth. He had a pump on the truck and expertly wired and assembled it and new pipe back into the well. He then verified the water pressure and adjusted the pressure switch, checked the air pressure in the tank. The whole process took about 2 hours, he was friendly and professional. He collected and disposed of all packing materials and used gear. All in all it was a good experience. I will recommend these guys to anyone who needs this kind of work.

    J & B Pump & Supply, LLC
This is the second time we have used J & B. Both times they have been as helpful as possible and professional.
We had a leak in the line coming from our well to the house.  He was extremely busy and had to fit us in.  We dug the hole to the line and removed the water so it would be ready when he arrived.  He fixed the leak by replacing a part another plumber had installed the previous year that was not correct for the t-joint.

    Shady Nook Pump & Supply
Super nice and knowledgable on the phone. Came out within 4 hours of the call and they were right on their telephone assessment and did a great job on replacing the pressure tank and pump switch. It only took about an hour and they were very tidy.

They came quickly and replaced the pressure tank in the garage and supposedly repaired the leak at the well head. The next afternoon, we found that the bedroom behind the control room where the pressure tank is, was flooded. They came back and found that they had forgotten to replace the backwash drain on the softener that they had moved out of the way when they installed the pressure tank. It had run under the wall and flooded the bedroom and walk-in closet. He replaced the drain but failed to glue the drain he had cut from the furnace, even after I pointed out that it was also dripping. I had to peel back the carpet and cut the seams in the pad and the carpet and clean up mold in a few spots, but they offered no more than an apology.

The next day, we found that the yard around the well head was still flooded. The same man came back a third time and dug out the pipes further down the line, claiming that it was abrasion that had caused the "second" leak. But he showed me the fitting that he had replaced and it was a hairline crack in the back of an elbow with no sign of any rubbing or trauma. He also charged us another $250.

The day after that, the yard was still flooding. We dug it all out again (by hand so we wouldn't damage the pipes,) and found it still leaking near the well head, (the original place) SOO we stopped payment on the second check and called the owner the next morning who was VERY apologetic. We insisted that he send a different plumber and he promised that it would be made right. Sure enough, a different fellow came and re-plumbed the entire line from the well head out to the sprinkler Y. It was properly done and isn't leaking. He also glued up the furnace drain, so other than a room with the carpet water-mold and rust damaged, all's well that ends well. I think this is an honest company, but our interaction was snakebitten. I have the idea that that particular plumber was not concentrating on his work, or in a hurry, for some reason. Who knows. The owner was determined to "set things right" and in the end, they did what they were paid to do.

It went well. It took a few days to obtain the proper pump but the job was completed very quickly. The price was very reasonable since my neighbor had the same thing done not too many months before and he paid nearly double what I paid.

    Redman Driling Inc
These young men worked HARD !  The outside temeratures exceeded 105 every day yet they continued without complaint. At one point, they had to rent a bigger trencher than they had and did not try to add additional fees as many would try.
The process took a few more days than estimated due to the rock formation they had to trench and one day they had to interrupt my job in order to help another customer that had lost all water to her home. I thought this was a good reason for a 1 day delay, they actually seem to care about customers.
The end result was good and there have been no equipment problems so far.
The only recommendation I would make is to increase Redman's warranty period to at least 2 years in place of the current 1 year. This was the reason one of my neighbors chose another company.

    Shady Nook Pump & Supply
Unlike my prior experience with one of their competitors (see my other review), I am totally pleased with Shady Nook.  Every time I called, the phone was answered by either Randy or Craig, both of which were very knowledgeable about the work to be done and the status on the work at my home.   We were running out of water with our current well due to it not being deep enough and not being able to keep up with watering the lawn.  Randy was very professional in letting me know that there was already a waiting list for new wells and that the wait could take a while.  In reality, I only needed to wait a few weeks.   They undersold and over-delivered, something I appreciate.  Would definitely recommend!
