FLawn Love Lawn CareI scheduled a week in advance. In the past, there have been problems with excuses and repeated reschedulings, so I asked repeatedly for confirmation of my appointment. All I got were emails saying they were trying to find a provider. On the day of the appointment, at 4 p.m. as the sky was getting dark, I got an email saying that the service provider would be there "shortly." Nobody showed up or called. The next day, their website showed that my service had been performed and that my card would be charged. I called Lawn Love, and the person seemed confused, and said that she couldn't credit my card until she'd checked with the provider. I will NOT be using Lawn Love again, and cannot recommend them.- Roger B.

Michael came for an initial consultation to review my yards and my prepared project list Arrived on time Provided an estimate of cost above the Angies List special rate Kept in touch via phone and email Provided quick respones to emails. His landscape crew worked efficiently and cleaned up afterwards I requested a changes to a couple of areas outside of the original estimate and they responded quickly. AStar Landscaping And Lawn Care ServiceI received a flyer on my door during the weekend and with the hot weather we had during the summer my flower bed needed some serious attention. The flowers were dying and my schrubs were overgrown. I called Jason on a Monday morning and he come out that afternoon and told me that he could replace my existing flowers with some that would fill in my flower bed for the rest of the season and would trim up my schrubs and get them looking healthy again. He started work immediately and within a few hours he had pulled all of my dead plants out of my flowerbed and had replaced them. My schrubs were trimmed up and he even cleaned up all the clippings he cut off. Since he had done such a good job I asked if he could mow and edge my yard while he was there. Without hesitation he agreed. My yard looks better than most on my block and I have continued to use his services. I can always count on him to come every week and take care of any work that needs to done outside. He never pressures me for payment and just leaves me an invoice so I can mail the payment to him. It's nice to come home and my yard looks neat and pretty.- Jennifer S.

AMy lawn had gotten away from me and with the recent rain, it had grown into a jungle. Contacted JD thru AngiesList and he agreed to come out and mow my lawn. He called me the morning of the day he was coming out and then texted me when he was 30 minutes away. He admitted that my lawn was a jungle but assured me that he could get it all knocked down. He had it done in no time. He was very professional and curious. Hire this guy, he does a great job.

BYard is draining nicely. The work itself was timely, and the crew came back next day to add a downspout that was discussed initially but left out of the contract. Crew broke the buried invisible fence cable under the creek that had been marked, with no offer to cover the $125 repair bill. While the work done matched the contract, I needed to read it more carefully before signing. The contract showed 3 sets of plants, 6 each, when we had discussed 8 of each. We also discussed 2.5-3" diameter maple trees (size not in contract), but got 2 that were 1-1.5" because 'that's all the nursery had.' None of the grass plants had come out yet, being late February; when 3 still hadn't come out by July, I left a message for Matt on replacement under warrantee. Mid August, I called again and was told that there was no warrantee but I could just go down to nursery and replace them myself. After what I paid for the work, I didn't think it right to invest another handful to correct dead plants, and Matt agreed to resolve the 3 dead plants when he had a break between jobs. It's October.
