  • Eric came out with Mandy his so called helper. They snaked the clean out, no results. They reported they went up in the roof and did something, no proof and nothing changed. Charged elderly couple $440.00 and left them in the same situation. Family member drives 3 hours from Kansas and pours some baking soda and vinegar down the drain, ckeared up and have had no more problems since. A-1 said they would have to come back out with a bigger snake on Monday, NO THANKS!

  • Mr Bobby Jernigan came out & gave us an estimate that was lower than the others and replaced a Bradford White natural gas hot water heater with a new Bradford White natural gas one. We even got a 40 gallon one instead of 30 and he still beat the competition on price. He had to relocate the hot water heater to a closet & do extra venting & other things to bring it up to code. He also had to do some extra unexpected work and in doing so had to buy extra things he didn't anticipate but still was willing to honor his quote because he had agreed it was a firm price. Hard to find businesses that are both honest and honorable. They gave a one year warranty labor on the installation. I do believe they will honor their warranty also. I had this done in Chickasha, OK where my sister lives....and I live out of town and I was paying for it so he sent me pictures of what he did. Very professional and very nice people. Looks like they did a good job on installation too from the pictures & from what my sister said. I think this is a very good company and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend them to anyone else.

  • We had a great experience with this highly professional, courteous, and efficient contractor. He also provided an education about the work he did and the overall condition of our plumbing. We are very, very pleased and plan to call again for services when we need to.

  • I couldn't ask for a better experience, they showed up when they said they would and finished ahead of schedule! They gave a better price than other companies and cleaned up after themselves!

  • Although he was busy after the OKC Christmas ice storm, he tried to walk us through a solution over the phone. When that didn't work he fit us in so we would have hot water for the wkend. Extremely nice and professional. Will call him first in the future.

  • We bought this house as a rental with several things that had to be done immediately before the renters could move in the next month. Before even starting the bathroom, Brian replaced the rusted hot water heater and installed new copper pipe ($550): he also repaired and added extra long security screws to the front door jam where the door had been kicked in, and installed a door to the garage from the utility room which was missising ($505). The bathroom remodel was $8150.
The bathroom space was very small. I had a picture from a magazine as a sample and he did a great job duplicating it. I purchased two tall narrow medicine cabinets and and wanted enough counter space for two renters to have space for dryers, makeup etc. He suggested a solid surface counter for durabiltiy and flexibility of design and undermounted a small sink while providing a narrow counter that extened the length of the room. When he got into the wall, there was a large cast iron vent pipe that would have prevented installing one of the cabinets, but he mangaged to cut it off and replumb it below the bottom of the cabinet. He also installed a new vent to replace the one going through the roof and even painted it to match the extierior roof shingles instead of leaving it metal colored. I picked out a Lowes cermaic floor/wall tile for durability and a matching mosaic folr backsplash. He found a solid surface counter that compimented the tile beautifully. When I couldn't find a glass shelf narrow enough to fit between the medicine cabinets, he fashioned a perfect one from the left over counter material. (I wish Anglie's had a way to post a picture.)

One thing I appreciated was Brian's attention to detail. He trimmed everything attractively, cut the tile so as to use as little as possible, and made a special trip to get sanded caulk to match the grout becasue he didn't like the look of the smooth. He took pride in his work and as a licensed plumber, did all the plumbing himself. (He also found the cleanout which niether we nor the previous owners could locate.) He subbed out the new linen closet but did all the tile work and other carpentry himself.
Brian was one of three bids I received and his was about 1/3 less than the other two I got from Angies's. I liked the fact that he did almost all of the work himself, but it did make scheduling more of a challenge. He does maintenance for other rental owners in Norman and has a lot of personal demands on his time. He said it would take four weeks to do the bathroom and it took five. But I've never had a contractor that finished on time, so the extra week was ok. Also, he worked all wkend to be sure the renters could move in.

I would hire him again for the quality of his work and because I'd trust him with a key to the house-he's a really nice guy. But I would know I'd need to be patient because he won't show up every day. And when he does, he might only work a couple of hours. That being said, he always answered the phone and responded to text messages--even when he must have suspected I was getting impatient.
As a postscript, the renters (who love the bathroom!) had an all day party a couple of Sundays ago and gave the bathroom and the disposal a serious workout. Brian came right out the next day to clean out the backed up sewer--I hope he gave them a lecture.

  • I noticed a wet spot in my yard about 20 feet from my meter. I looked on angies list and found Bobby and gave him a call. This was about mid morning on Tuesday. He said he had some other jobs to finish up but he could be out between 6 and 7 that eveing to take a look. He called me around 4 in the afternoon said he finished the other jobs earlier than expected and was headed out to take a look. When he got there he got straight to work. He dug up the wet spot and found a hairline crack in the pipe. It had apparently been driven over while baling hay and the weight of the tractor had cracked the PVC. He fixed the bad section and we were up and running. It took about an hour and a half from start to finish. I am very happy with the speed of service and will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks Bobby.

  • He is a very good plumber.  He is very knowledgeable and he comes when we call him.  He does good work but it seems to me that he charges a lot, but I don’t think he charges much more than anyone else.  I think he is honest and the workers that he brings with him are nice.

  • A complete disaster.  Some of the work was done properly and other was just plain shoddy.  We have reported him to the Better Business Association and, to our knowledge, he has not responded.

  • Mike Walters did an excellent job. He measured the R value in our home and quoted me the price for a top tier 18 seer Bryant system and then gave me an option to go to a mid tier system that would give me an overall 16 seer by using a smaller system, but putting in a larger coil and a varible speed furnace. He showed me the cost savings between an 18 seer and a 16 seer system and the energy savings would only be about 5% difference which after doing a cost/benefit analysis, I decided to go with the 16 seer option. Basically Mike wouldn't sell me something I didn't need, but gave me the system that gave me more bang for my buck. The Bryant system he put in cut my electric bill by 30% and 20% on my gas bill. He drove over 45 miles and still beat quotes from other Heat & Air companies within my home town by 15%.  We got over 100 degrees for over sixty days this year in Oklahoma and my AC unit is still doing fine.  I called him out one time about a year later just to take a look at the new system to make sure there was no maintenance that needed to be done and to make sure I was doing everything correctly on my part to keep it working as new.  He checked the system and found no defects and didn't charge me anything because he was in the area. Great service!

For some reason I couldn't add a Facebook website for Walters Mechanical Services so I am adding it here since most companies use Facebook these days for business.  Website: http://www.facebook.com/waltersmechsvcllc
