    SRI Energy
We were very pleased with SRI-Energy. They met and exceeded our expectations. All personnel members were professional, knowledgeable, accomadating, polite, honest and very thorough in their work. They explained in detail their process so we could understand what each step would entail. They completed the job in a timely fashion. Their areas of work were left very clean. Before they did the work, we had to keep the upstairs thermostate on 60 degrees just to keep the rooms at 80 degrees. After the insulation was added and the house was sealed, we have to keep the thermostate on 78 degrees or it will freeze us out. The added insulation and sealing of the house has also blocked out the outside noises making the house very quiet. We are very pleased with the work SRI-Energy did. We would highly recommend them to anyone if you truly want your home to be more energy efficient.

It was a horrible experience. The salesman told it would be finish in 3 mos, and everything will be ready. It took about a year, and we found out that they did not do insulation so we still need to do it ourselves, and pay for it separately. Very late to get it done. The roof leaks when it rains hard, so it needs to get fix as well. It was very terrible! I wouldn't recommend them to other members.

It went fine.  A little pressure to buy additional insulation, but not much.  It was very helpful since I am recently widowed and need this type of professional help more than before when my husband handled it.

The energy audit took about 1/2 day. The workers arrived on-time and explained each step of the process. Virginia stopped by to check on progress about mid-day. When they were using the blower door part of the audit, Cale from Wortman used a handheld LCD heat detection device that allows you to see where there are cold or hot spots clearly. It was a cool day and any place showing blue ( cool ) around an exterior wall, you could count on feeling some air coming in from the outside. Within a couple of days Virginia scheduled an appointment to go through the energy audit. We meet and she walked me through the results and discussed options that were available ranging from low to high cost. After the review, we discussed what the best value options were available to fit within my needs and budget. Within 48 hours after the audit review, Virginia provided me with a quotation for several options to select from. I combined what I felt were the best "value" options ( which were basically what Virginia had suggested ) and asked Virginia to provide a turn key package price including the PSO/ONG rebates. She came back with combined price including all parts and labor. Basically we decided to "center" the furnace in the attic and upgrade to a high efficiency model as our existing furnace was on it's last legs. Along with the "centering" we increased the duct-work size to 10" on two runs with a 8" register. Added two runs to closets. We chose the duct-work seal package that reduced the duct-work air loss over 50% ( and on the audit our duct-work loss was shown a little better than average). Then we started the "whole house seal" package process. They hooked up the blower door as before to create low pressure within the house to simulate a 25mph wind.
We had about 7,000 cfm air coming in from the outside. Then they sealed the holes in top plate where the electric wire come through, sealed all holes under sinks on exterior walls, caulked all trim and window area on exterior walls and kept working until they were able to the loss down to 300 cfm. We selected a digital thermostat and we were walked through how to set it up. The final step was add cellulose insulation to increase our total to 12 inches. The original insulation from 1979 was only about 4" to begin with and over the years it had been packed down. So how did it do?  in a word WONDERFUL!
After the completion of the insulation the interior temperature was 84 degrees as tests on the new furnace had been performed. We then switched to the A/C and within 30 minutes the temperature was at very comfortable 75 degrees!
Everyone from Wortman were great to work with! The workers were all polite and personable. Every step along the way they went out of there way to be sure I understood what they were doing and why. There was NEVERr the feeling that they were trying to hurry just to get finished. On two different occasions, Bob the owner stopped by to personally inspect the process to be sure it was being done to his satisfaction. Virginia also stopped by to make sure all was going well.
Everyday the workers cleaned up after themselves and left our garage clean and usable.
Without a doubt this the BEST experience I've EVERY had from ANY heat/air company!

As part of the energy audit, the agent checked the ac, ducts, doors, windows and attic. Our house is about 3 years old. So there wasnt much issue about bad insulation or leakage around doors.  However, there was one area in the house that wouldn't get heating or cooling compared to the other zones (almost 10 degrees different).  The agent didn't find any issue with the ducting and suggested with insulate some area of the attic.  Got a quote of $1600. Subsequently, we had another company come in to perform AC service and I had him look in the attic to check out ducting and see if there was any leakage.  Sure enough, he found a massive rupture in one of the ducts and he charged me his minimum, $289 to fix that.

workers on time each day, cleaned up each day, project manager checked in each day and sent photos of progress.  When we called about minor repairs that were skipped they were taken care of immediately.  Many samples of paint were tried until we made final decision.  Project manager came out after painting was finished and walked through with us (twice). He personally painted some additional trim and neatened some wires that were loose. The painters even requested that we move our cars down the block so any windblown spray wouldn't affect them. Overall about as good an experience as you can have while in a construction mode. Workers were polite and stayed after the project even though it was very cold when they did the siding.

All went extremely well.  Extensive review of entire house so carve out 3-4 hours of your time for this job.  Post-visit, very nice report with items listed (with cost estimates) that, if addressed, could achieve additional energy savings.  The approach to this audit is looking at your house in total in the context of its current state and construction.

    Air Solutions
As far as showing up on time and the quality of the equipment we purchased we were very pleased. We saved considerably over the months on our heating and cooling bills. We felt the sales person was very friendly and courteous however didn't exactly have enough training to explain all the details we wanted and was just there to sell us; we relied on the technician installing to give us a better explanation of why things cost what they did and what they were doing. Our technician was really good. We received free services from them to come every few months and install filters into our home and check everything. What they don't tell you is they don't regularly come and do that or remind you that it's time for a new filter you have to call them and ask them to come. So basically you get this service (which we were paying $11/month for about six months prior anyways) that they don't follow up on for free or maintain without you asking for it; I felt like if I spent 10 grand with a company that they should follow up and twice a year come out and check their equipment out. When we did call for filter service the person who showed up didn't check his system as to what we had (even though it's readily available in their database) to make sure he had correct filters in his truck; went to get them after coming to our house and still returned with the wrong one that "would work" which didn't. I would recommend checking out all the companies available we found out that we could have saved an additional $500 if we would have went with a different company and they did maintenance on the unit regularly without being called and asked to do so.

They always come when they are supposed to and do the job they were hired to do. They had two workers doing the insulation. They had to go up into the attic which is not very user friendly. They completed the work in one day and were very hard working. I can really tell the difference in my garage.

    Burnett Windows & Siding
From the receptionist to the sales people to the installation coordinator and installation crews...everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. The saleman was not pushy.  He answered all of my questions. If I was unsure about a situation with my windows he would make a suggestion based upon past experience.  The installers were very punctual and experienced.  They were courteous.  They did a very nice job with the clean up around the windows. This is the third time that I have purchased and installed windows through this company.  I definitely would not use any other company.  Mr. Burnett is a wonderful person and has hired people of outstanding character.  This company gets an A+ from me.
