    WATTERS HEAT & AIR
Two service people showed up shortly after lunch and identified the problem as a frozen condensate drain line. They offered advice on how to prevent the line from freezing in the future. The whole process took less than 20 minutes. While they were on site, I also had them consult on a whole-house humidifier, which they gave honest opinions about.

MGB Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning
I am disabled and my mother was helping me by paying for the system. The owner quizzed me about my disability very condescendingly, stating I didn't look sick, making it known that I was very lucky I could make my mom believe that I needed that much help. Very soon after, the system was not working during a snowstorm. I called and they were very busy and the owner came out and had to replace the thermostat on the wall. He was very rude about it. When we had trouble after that he wouldn't return my calls so we had to call another business out, they stated that the system was wired in wrong and we had to pay to fix it. Five years later we had to replace the system again.

    THRASH MECHANICAL
When we dealt with him on our business, he was extremely reasonable. His service charge would be the hourly rate and the parts. It wasn't that much. He's been really good every time he has come out and serviced us.

    Wortman Central A/C Co
Service turned out great. They were professional. Very friendly, and took their time to explain what they were doing to an old retired guys. I have no complaints and we never had to go back to them for anything.

The agreement included five years of routine maintenance service.

We had two heating and air units put in, they put in a fair amount of new duct work to get the second unit up to par. The new units are efficient, our bills have lowered.

    BRIAN'S HEAT & AIR
I called Brian's Heat and Air based on some of the reviews I was reading. The job was to replace a complete system, and I'm 45 miles away so my first question was if they service my area. Very apologetically he informed me that I was "a little" outside of their area. I told him it was no problem. Within seconds of completing our call, he kindly sent me text messages recommending a couple of other companies. With that professionalism and character and wish I was "a little" closer so I could do business with him.

    Affordable Heating & Air LLC
Dustin was very polite on phone, set up appointment and called when he was going to arrive a little late. He was quick with his service explained everything and is one of the few in our area that offers an annual service contract.

    OSBORNE'S HEATING & AIR
When our air conditioning went out we  immediately  gave them a  call. They ended up came out maybe 2-3 times, each time saying it was repaired. But it wasn't.  They then began making excuses such as they were having trouble getting the part. The finally just ended up not returning our calls.
I have an autoimmune disease, which we made them aware of. Heat makes the symptoms worse and since I work at home it was almost impossible. Finally my husband tracked down the manufacturer who said you don't have to use the same installer. They gave us the name of another authorized dealer in our area. This company came out immediately, ordered the part, told use we what the charge would be for their labor, the came out, fixed it and we happily paid them the $500 or so for labor. WHICH WE MOST WILLING WOULD HAVE with Osborne IF THEY HAD ACTUALLY DONE ANYTHING. Obviously they were happy to get the big money to install it, but could not be bothered to solve, what turned out to be a small issue.
Because we travel a lot with our business, we soon moved into the cool season. We didn't think about reporting them until now, as I turn the A/C on for the first time and it WORKS - NOT THANKS TO OSBORNE who STILL has to this day never returned our call. . . .
Do not trust these people. Look for a reputable person who CARES about customer service.

    WATTERS HEAT & AIR
I wanted a furnace checkup which the young man did, but I asked  Watters to send me what I needed to get a refund from the gas company and they never did. That was my only complaint with this company.

    THRASH MECHANICAL
Mr. Thrash did a great job from coming onsite to prepare an estimate and recommend a unit all the way through to completion.  He recommend the Fujitsu brand, but expressed his willingness to work with other brands if I had a particular one I wanted.  I wasn't partial to any particular brand so I checked out the Fujitsu and decided to go with it.  I also checked out Mr. Thrash on Fujitsu's web site for recommend contractors.  I was pleased to see his credentials were the most impressive of any of the contractors in the area.  It made me feel good to see he has a documented relationship with Fujitsu.  The installation went well and faster than I expected.  The work he did required city permits and inspection.  He took care of getting the permits and getting the inspection done.  He also took care of registering the unit with Fujitsu.
There were two unexpected problems.  First was his supplier could not get the exact model I wanted.  The model I want was tied up in customs and the supplier didn't know when it would be released.  The supplier had a slightly larger unit in stock.  He was able to get his supplier to discount the cost of the unit and split the difference with me.  So it worked out that for about an extra $100 I got an extra 3000BTUs.
The second problem was my house has a lime stone facade that is made up of irregular chucks of stone.  He found a space in between stones that was large enough for the line set to pass.  He drilled through the cement mortar between stones to make the hole.  It turned out what appeared to be a small stone ended up being a larger one that was embedded in the cement so it's actual size wasn't obvious.  As a result I had a hole about 3 times larger than what he meant to make.  There was no argument or anything, he ran the lines through the hole, then he contacted a mason to come out and replace the stone and mortar it back in place.  There was no extra charge for this.
I believe Mr. Thrash really does want his customers to be happy with the work he does, and it really shows.  I will definitely use and recommend Thrash Mechanical in the future.

Called that morning and they were at the house right after lunch. Very nice, helpful, and efficient. Both Dustin's are pleasant to work with. This is the second time Affordable has worked on our unit for us and we have been very happy each time. I recommend them highly.
