    Stuckey's Handyman Service
I hired Dallas Stuckey to remodel my bathroom. He was to tear out a wall, remove wall paneling and replace with sheet rock, remove tub and tub liner to be replaced with a whirlpool tub. He was to build a frame for the tub, tile around the tub and tile the floor. He was to hang a new door, replace frame around window and lay tile on the ledge, build a linen cabinet, put in a new vanity and install new toilet. Day 1 demo went well. Day 2 had sheet rock hung. Day 3 had tub to be brought in, after they took out the door frame and wall, to be able to get tub into the bathroom, frame to be built to put tub in and new toilet put in, things were moving right along. Day 4 had them doing some mud and taping, painting and doing some tile work around the top of the tub cabinet. This is where things started going down hill and they just continued to get worse each day. They did not sand the walls smoothly before painting so you can see all the seams and nail heads etc, the tile work was the worst I had seen but we gave them the benefit of the doubt and when they returned on day 5 they started to lay tile on the floor. He was asked if he needed to put anything on the wooden sub floor before laying tile and he assured me he didn't. I asked him about having something on the floor that would give so the tile wouldn't crack and he assured me he had never had any problems with tile that he had laid. Day 6 continued with tile being put around the tub cabinet and on the floor. Never have I seen such poor quality work in laying tile, uneven and huge amounts of grout in one place, little in others, pieces of the cement board sticking out of the grout, very jagged edges, nothing butted together, it was the most horrible job of tile laying to be done by someone who was suppose to know what he was doing. I am sick at this point and not sure what to do. Day 7 he works on finishing putting the tub together--drain and faucets--he chips the tub putting in the faucet, installs the faucets backwards--the hot faucet turns on by pushing toward the wall and the cold faucet turns on by pulling towards the tub. What in the world--does this guy know what he is doing? Now remember he is installing a whirlpool tub that has electrical parts under it so we will need access under the tub in case we have any problems--he tiles in the entire frame of the tub and leaves us no access--REALLY. We find out that he has wired everything into one outlet so the exhaust fan, wall outlet, light, and tub only work when the bathroom light is on--REALLY. Then our hall light quit working and when asked about that he didn't have a clue why it didn't work, we never had any issues with it until he wired the bathroom wrong, and guess what the hall light now only works when the bathroom light is on--REALLY. He was asked to build a cabinet which he told me he would do, what he built was a shelf and when asked if he was going to put doors on it he told me that was above what he could do--REALLY. He obviously could not cut a straight line, assured me he knew how to stain the crown molding and baseboards, what a joke, that is the most uneven stain job that I have seen and he never even tried to put a second coat on. He jacked up the entire door frame when trying to hang it and had my husband not been standing there with a level to tell them they needed to level the door who knows what would have happened. Anyway the door doesn't close like it is suppose to--imagine that. He had to replace the wall that he cut out and you guessed it is he did a poor job of mud, taping, and painting. This was a job that an amateur would do not someone who was suppose to be doing as his profession. By now this job has gone from bad to worse, don't know what to do but tell them to leave. They flooded my brand new vanity as they didn't know how to hook up the plumbing so needless to say that was the straw that broke the camels back. I now have a destroyed bathroom that is going to have to be completely redone, electrical that is going to have to be redone as now I have no electricity In my master bathroom and living room, and a plumber to come in and redo all his screw ups. This man was suppose to be someone who knew what he was doing, unfortunately he didn't. I would definitely NOT recommend this man for anything and I give him a rating of F. I don't know if it could get any worse. I hope this review will keep someone else from being completely dissatisfied by hiring this NON-professional. I would add pictures if I could.

    Hawkins Custom Carpentry
Hawkins Custom Carpentry has been doing both modifications and maintenance carpentry work at our home for over ten years (2005 to 2018). Mark Hawkins is knowledgeable and experienced. I am aware of the other projects in Bartlesville and this area that he has worked on. His skills and experience in carpentry go beyond the work done at our home and include: carpentry work on the construction of new homes, restoration work on historic homes, remodels, add-ons, trim, cabinets & counter tops, decks, maintenance repair, and much more.

    H & H Construction
The entire project was great from beginning to end. We contacted Hand H Construction while we were still living out of state and arranged a meeting. We met and talked about what we wanted. Bruce came back in a few days with a bid on the project which we accepted. The house was built over the next few months. Bruce provided help with choosing materials and colors. He made suggestions for improvements as we went along. The project was completed in a timely manner. Follow up has been great.

Construction was on time, very good services. Easy to negotiate special features. Builder was on site to monitor work often. Foundation was well constructed per our request and specifications, cabnets, etc. are very well made. My spouse put the ceramic flooring in and it is a beautiful house!

    Langley Quality Homes
I would definitely recommend Langley Quality Homes because I, myself have purchased one of his upscale spec homes. And then 4 years later, I had Langley Quality Homes build me a custom home. In my opinion, Tim Langley is an honest, upstanding individual who is highly recognized in the community as one of the best, if not, the best builder around the Grand Lake region. I had not thought to write a review myself, until a friend of mine told me about an review that one of our TROUBLE MAKER of a neighbor posted on this website. This person makes it a full-time in making trouble for others, as well as the Langley's. An example of this would be his grossly, misrepresented price of his home because I have never heard of a home selling for more than 1 million dollars in that particular neighborhood.  In closing, before I would ever count Langley Quality Homes out, I would suggest a person check with the BBB, HBA, or local bank presidents. (Such as: Grand Savings Bank or First National Bank) Regards, Oliver Jones

Very smooth. I picked out every thing prior to start of construction and did not change anything. Plus I had everything marked on blue prints. No misunderstandings. When told them I did not like the trim around the book case they changed it without question.

    The Buckingham Group Inc.
First, the design was brilliant. In addition to desiring everything a one-car garage could afford, we had several specific and, dare I say, peculiar requests. In addition to requesting extra storage space and a storm shelter, we wanted to use the garage as an overflow sleeping area, a work out area, and a place to wash our dogs. Ed and his team developed a plan that was creative, practical, and cost conscious. Second, the process of construction was remarkable. We appreciated the detailed plan, specific estimates, and posted schedule for the work so we could plan around what would be happening every day. We can’t say enough about Ed Kaplan and his project manager. The on-site foreman was attentive to all of our ideas and concerns during the execution of the project. He developed an ambitious project calendar and kept to it with the rare exception of a few weather-hindered days. Both the on-site foreman and Ed were accessible and responsive to our communications during the weeks of construction. We were also impressed that Ed sought solutions that were as low cost as possible. For instance, the need to have the space heated and cooled was solved in a way that was more cost-effective than what we had planned. Third, the final product speaks for itself. The word that comes to mind is “excellent.” Our new addition is better than we dreamed. We found someone we could trust, someone who was not only talented but honorable. We found someone who would not only design our project well, but carefully oversee its completion from start to finish. We found in Ed Kaplan someone who takes true pleasure in doing things well and with integrity. We highly recommend The Buckingham Group and wish we had another project to pursue just to see them work their magic.

    S & L Builders
Found leak in flashing between patio roof and house roof. Patio fascia was completely rotted. Water damage to ceiling. We were buying the house and the seller paid for the work. The contractor said the tar roof was just going to eventually cause the same problem talked seller into upgrading to metal roof on patio. When repairing the ceiling he said the old popcorn was nearly impossible to match to current popcorn on the market so he updated to a broque finish at no charge. Also replaced the fascia with rough 2x6 boards and matched paint. The work looks so beautiful and he worked us in because this happened right before closing and the FHA appraiser had to reinspect and sign off of the work. If we didn't close on time we would have to pay extra for an interest rate lock extension. So he worked nights to get it all done! Also, he found a couple shingles that were a concern, so he replaced them at no charge!! I know the seller paid for it all, but when we remodel, they are our first call!!
