The original scope of work was expanded after we found that the downspout drain line was originally incorrectly installed. They returned to run a new line to the street. The workers were very helpful in making sure the work was done correctly.

Don said if anything needed corrected he would correct them and we shook hands. Looks like a hand shake means nothing. After trimming too much off the bathroom door, Don said he would replace it. Still waiting. Laying a door in the grass to work on it is not very professional. After he reinstalled it, I had to clean hand prints and dirt from door. Now i can not open the French doors. That alarm in my head should have gone off in my head when he pulled up in a junky unorganized truck. Notice in the photo the light coming from the next room

    THE TASK WIZARD LLC
We had a long list of projects for our new house, and Gary and his crew were outstanding. New toilets, faucets, pedestal sink were installed. New ceiling fans, wall controls, ceiling fans moved and new ceiling light was installed. Electrical outlets were swapped out. Outdoor window awnings removed and windows cleaned. Glued down carpet scraped up and floor prepped for new tile. Closet doors rehung. Gary was fantastic from start to finish. His crew was prompt and thorough. My only complaints are they used our single trashcan a lot for boxes, etc and they could have cleaned up a bit better and watched where they were laying out tools. I've had Gary back for a kitchen sink and disposal install and was very happy with it. I have a new project list coming up shortly, and I will DEFINITELY be calling him again. I can't really recommend Gary highly enough. Very thorough, good communication, fair pricing and very competent. If there's something you need done that he doesn't feel comfortable doing, he tells you rather than tackling it and getting in to trouble with it.

If you have a large number of projects, be aware this company has a very convoluted and clunky bid process. They kept me in limbo for two weeks, and communication was virtually non-existent through out. The material on one of the larger projects was changed without discussion. Our initial meeting with them for a long list of smaller items as well as a as a couple of much larger, more expensive items took place on a Monday. The meeting went well, and I looked forward to working with them on this project, as well as a bath and kitchen remodel in the future. The estimator was very congenial, had good ideas and the back and forth was encouraging. The proposal was to be sent to me that Friday. When I didn't receive it over the weekend, I called on Monday, spoke to the estimator, and was told it would be emailed to me by the end of the day, which did not happen. On Tuesday afternoon, I left word about a possible change, but never heard back. On Thursday, nearly a week after the promised deadline, I received the proposal. This list included 2 big ticket items (a patio cover and concrete paver patio) as well as removing outside awnings from the windows. We asked for a separate line item for each of those three during our initial meeting. The estimator was provided a list of the projects at that time. Instead, everything was lumped together for a 13K bid, with the patio material changed from what we'd requested and discussed at length with the estimator. When I called that same day to ask for the individual pricing, I was told the estimator was out of the office until the following Monday. There was no one who could answer my question. That's when the proposal process was described to me. (It actually makes sense, and if communication is good, it wouldn't be an issue.) Long story short, I got bids for the job from other companies during the time I was waiting for the initial proposal, and decided after time dragged on to go elsewhere. (Having seen some of the responses this company gives to negative reviews, I'm certain this post will receive one with a full measure of snark.)

    Home Solutions Handyman
Home Solutions Handyman came to my home within a few days of contacting them to give me an estimate on various small jobs I needed done within a very specific time frame.  When Nick  came over to review my project, I told him I needed the work done within 3 weeks. He told me it was a slow time of year for them, so that would be no problem.  I should have known when it took several days to get back to me with pricing that this was not going to go well. He did however give me an estimate which I the next day accepted some of the work he quoted.  Soon it will be three weeks since I accepted his quote and they have not contacted me.  It would have been much more professional if he simply got back to me quickly and said they did not want the job. Horrible follow up. I would never consider them in the future.

    Larry Marra
By the time spring arrived, I noticed more and more plaster beginning to fall off the ceiling on the floor. By mother's day, it began to leak profusely. His only repairs were to put more tar on the pipe. He told us that he would not come out to do anymore work on the stink pipe, and that the leak was due to a crack in it. We had to call another company, who came out to fix the issue for only $309. On their proposal, they listed that Larry did not properly fix anything, which is costing us repairs into the thousands. He is an unlicensed contractor.

Gary was slightly behind schedule.  Still the part to replace was not easy at all to remove.  I had the new part needed for him to install.  He was professional and efficient.

    Makis Home Improvement LLC
Mr. Makis checked out a water leak in the ceiling in the  basement bathroom shower, and found it was actually coming from the upstairs bathtub. The crawlspace for the bathtub plumbing was located in a small linen closet, and was not easily accessible, but he ended up finding several leaks and repairing them with new parts, which he had on his truck.  Even though the area was hard to get to he went ahead and found and repaired the problem -  when he was done he ran water in the bathtub and rechecked everything.  He explained everything, told me what needed done to fix it and advised on other needed household repairs.  I was not looking forward to finding a place to come in and do this repair, but after finding his name on Angie's List I thought great reviews why not give him a call, and I'm really glad I did.  Good response time and fair amount charged on this challenging job.

Would I call him again DEFINITELY!  It is so reassuring knowing I have someone to call when I have something I can't do.

I can tell he did an excellent job on my steps.  He was a hard worker and doesnt mess around.  He didnt even take a break.  He did such a great job that I am having him come back out tomorrow to paint my walls, ceiling, window frames, and install another hand rail for my stairs.  He is also going to install a storm door for my front doorway.

He is an excellent guy and picked a great door.  It seems to be a family operation that works well together in teams.

    THE TASK WIZARD LLC
I hired Task Wizard for 4-5 projects over a hectic 30 day period in the middle of winter. I needed things done quickly and done right. In each instance Task Wizard gave me an estimate for the task, performed the task exceptionally well and SUPER fast, and then followed up to make sure everything was okay. Their rates were reasonable, and customer service was outstanding. I couldn't have been more pleased!
