    Everyone we interacted with, from the sales rep to the installation crew, were professional, knowledgeable, polite and efficient. The installation was much faster and less disruptive than we anticipated. They took great care to leave our home neat and clean. We are very happy with the quality of the windows and the workmanship of the installers. Have only had them for a few days, so can't address improved energy efficiency or durability, but there has been a noticeable difference in outside noise, as promised. Looking forward to washing the tilt in windows in the future. They are very easy to operate. Overall very satisfied and would recommend Universal Windows.

    Don said if anything needed corrected he would correct them and we shook hands. Looks like a hand shake means nothing. After trimming too much off the bathroom door, Don said he would replace it. Still waiting. Laying a door in the grass to work on it is not very professional. After he reinstalled it, I had to clean hand prints and dirt from door. Now i can not open the French doors. That alarm in my head should have gone off in my head when he pulled up in a junky unorganized truck. Notice in the photo the light coming from the next room

    If you have a large number of projects, be aware this company has a very convoluted and clunky bid process. They kept me in limbo for two weeks, and communication was virtually non-existent through out. The material on one of the larger projects was changed without discussion. Our initial meeting with them for a long list of smaller items as well as a as a couple of much larger, more expensive items took place on a Monday. The meeting went well, and I looked forward to working with them on this project, as well as a bath and kitchen remodel in the future. The estimator was very congenial, had good ideas and the back and forth was encouraging. The proposal was to be sent to me that Friday. When I didn't receive it over the weekend, I called on Monday, spoke to the estimator, and was told it would be emailed to me by the end of the day, which did not happen. On Tuesday afternoon, I left word about a possible change, but never heard back. On Thursday, nearly a week after the promised deadline, I received the proposal. This list included 2 big ticket items (a patio cover and concrete paver patio) as well as removing outside awnings from the windows. We asked for a separate line item for each of those three during our initial meeting. The estimator was provided a list of the projects at that time. Instead, everything was lumped together for a 13K bid, with the patio material changed from what we'd requested and discussed at length with the estimator. When I called that same day to ask for the individual pricing, I was told the estimator was out of the office until the following Monday. There was no one who could answer my question. That's when the proposal process was described to me. (It actually makes sense, and if communication is good, it wouldn't be an issue.) Long story short, I got bids for the job from other companies during the time I was waiting for the initial proposal, and decided after time dragged on to go elsewhere. (Having seen some of the responses this company gives to negative reviews, I'm certain this post will receive one with a full measure of snark.)

    Saw Basciano in the neighborhood and went over and looked at some of their work, They were extremely friendly and came right over to give me an estimate. Their prices are fair and they are extremely professional. Arrived on time and did a great job. The owner was always here. Not an outfit that gives an estimate and strange people end up at your door to do the work. 
    Have already asked them to do my deck this summer.

    The sales person was very helpful, punctual, and professional. The door was installed as they promised and I couldn't be happier. In fact the installer cut a piece of trim a little short by 1/8th an inch. He was quick to point it out and they sent someone the next morning (on Saturday) to get it corrected. Great service and price!

    He came out the day I called him and gave me a price right then and there and said he would do it the following week for me because I was anxious to have it done asap. He was there within a few days and did everything I had asked him to and did a great job! Very easy to talk to and nice and professional. Did great work. I would definitely use him again.

    From the minute Michael came to look at the work we wanted done, he felt like family.  He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly.  We are new to the area, so it was a great help that he gave us ideas of where to buy certain products and gave us fantastic referrals to local suppliers.
    There were several times that a question arose regarding the work to be done, and he never hesitated to help. 
    Michael showed up exactly when he said he would be here to start the job, was on time every day, and actually finished ahead of schedule. 
    All of the work Michael did was meticulous and we are extremely pleased with the outcome.  Along with his strong work ethic, he is one of the nicest people my family has had the pleasure of meeting, and we will definitely be using his services again in the near future.

    There are still some scratches on our doors and they weren't able to install the door handle on my side garage door. Where do I begin... It took the installation team six times to install our back door. Saw dust everywhere in my house and sawing done to my door. One day to install one door. What an inconvenience for our jobs...loss of pay also. The screws were stripped on the threshold, scratches, storm door didn't close properly, gap and light coming through new door, holes weren't pre-drilled, screws 1/4 out behind weather stripping, door didn't close with ease, wrong hardware, original trim around inside of door scratched and wasn't trimmed properly. Also, the dead bolts are all not centered key holes. When we called customer service, another week for correct hardware. We told them we didn't want the "contracted out" contractor wasn't to come back on our property to install any further doors. We had to get our family lawyer involved. Week later, install manager only installed side door and fixed back door. I could go on and on with the service issues. We were telling the salesmen things he should have known . We were more knowledgeable from the Pella guy.Also, we had to pay to have our alarm company come out four different times to take out and re-install contacts on our doors. We could have had a breach in our home since we didn't have the doors armed do to they system not being fully functional since Window World didn't complete their job as contracted in a timely manner.We rather had paid more money for Pella doors and window and had less headaches and a quality product that is installed by their company. I do not want Window World to contact us. We are done!!!Wrapping things up, the contractors didn't even test for lead. They told us, "It doesn't look like you have any lead". EPA will love them! I just recall that the trim around the outside windows isn't even caulked and secured properly.

    John came out at the time he said and gave me an estimate.
    We taked it over and decided to go ahead with the work. I was very happy that they can work around our work schedules.
    They came out at the time they said they would and completed the work, neatly and professionally.

    MRD Inc
    I'm changing my prior review. I used MRD's services for many projects, however the last item to be completed was the roof. I gave the owner a $2000 deposit to cover supplies, however the roof was never completed. Initially I received several excuses as to why the project was being delayed, then all replies ceased. I never heard from MRD again and I never received my deposit back, even after a letter threatening legal action. My attorney has advised that I would likely have trouble collecting in the event of judgement against the company. 

    Prior review: MRD's estimates consistantly came in under the price of other tradespeople and contractors. Their work was always top quality and the work was completed in the timely manner.
