    J & M Custom Construction Inc
Part of the on-going renovation of our 103-year-old house has involved the construction of a new bathroom on the upper floor. We selected J&M Construction to do the work largely for two reasons: (1) the positive "chemistry" that was obvious from the first meeting, and (2) the completeness and affordable of J&M's proposal.
We the homeowners decided to order all fixtures, tiles, and related material so that we would be able to obtain the quality we wanted, e.g., Grohe shower and sink hardware, Villeroy & Boch sink and toilet, towel warmer, frameless shower enclosure, etc.
The only issue that came up during the construction involved questions regarding code compliance of the Grohe shower material.
While the bathroom project was proceeding, we asked J&M to bid on two other jobs we needed done before bringing in painters and paper hangers: (1) a window frame in one of the ground floor rooms had suffered termite damage and needed replacement, and (2) the plaster wall below a window had suffered water damage and needed repair. Both of those problems happened decades in the past.
During construction, a violent thunderstorm exposed a leak in the roof. J&M recommended a roofing company to provide an emergency patch. Subsequently, we engaged that roofing company to install a brand new roof and gutter/downspout work to the house, and we are completely satisfied with that work.
J&M's small army of experts did a wonderful job throughout. We are delighted with our new bathroom... and with the rave reviews we've gotten from friends and other visitors.
J&M is currently working on an outdoor project for us, and I expect the results to be excellent.

J and m construction gutted our whole house and rebuilt it and added a bedroom for my son. They turned my 60 year old house into a fabulous modern open concept floor plan. My kitchen is amazing and better than I ever thought it could be. They added a double vanity in the bathroom and a large glass enclosed tile shower. Again it was way more beautiful than I expected. They built 2 large decks for us as well and we are anxiously awaiting summer so we can enjoy them! They also did new windows and siding. As with any old house we ran into structural problems but their team overcame the issues and easily came up with solutions. My family and I are thrilled with our new home. We would definitely use this company again.

    The Solutionist Inc
I Learned about The Solutionist from friends who had experienced his work. One got a full kitchen remodel. The other had a long list of details which needed to be fixed to prepare their home for sale. I saw his results and I knew he was just what I needed.

Paschal came and listened to what I had in mind, measured the job and provided a detailed estimate.

Once I accepted, he picked up the linen closet door to use as the color match for the doors being replaced. Once the doors were prepped, he dropped them on-site on a Friday and began the job the next Monday. All was clean and neat when he left on Friday.

The first day he brought a "second" to assist in the prep work (e.g. taking down old hardware) and all the things one needs an extra hand to do. His second even rubbed _Old English_ into the scratches on doors which weren't replaced and painted the repair of the door jamb so it didn't show anything but "I'm fixed".

Before the first step through the door he laid down plastic on the floor and covered it with a drop cloth. The ceiling dry wall work was done inside a "booth" created with plastic and support poles. Clean up at the end was meticulous. I even offered to vacuum myself and Paschal would not leave it to me, such was his pride to complete the job.

I work from home and needed quiet for a teleconference one day. They planned that day so that the work could continue but I would not be disturbed!

This job completes my goal of making this house a finished home.

Justin at the Kitchen Place is awesome. he worked on us for our kitchen design, and although we were looking at several different companies to use, we chose KP because the price was comparable to Lowe's and we wanted to support a locally owned business. It did take a really long time to get the design done with them, which was part of the reason we looked elsewhere for comparative pricing. But-- Justin was super, super helpful and sent pictures and links and other info to help us make decisions about things in the kitchen.

The ordering went smoothly and everything was delivered as promised.

The Kraft Maid cabinets have much to be desired in terms of quality, but that is no reflection on TKP. The cabinets we received had a faulty finish that peeled off or could be scratched off with a fingernail. Definitely NOT ok. We called TKP and they came out with the Kraft Maid rep and looked at the problems. They then helped us coordinate having the defective doors (all of them) replaced, free of charge. I would never purchase or recommend the purchase of Kraft Maid products again, but I would definitely go to TKP for another brand. There was also an issue with the sliding trash bin... and again free of charge, TKP came out and replaced the whole bin with a different unit. Now THAT'S customer service!

Overall, the customer service was excellent and they were very, very prompt once we had the order placed. Justin has also been very responsive. We have gone back to get countertops from TKP and since we had to let our kitchen contractor (installer) go for poor workmanship and the inability to meet deadlines, we're also working with TKP's kitchen installers. I'll review those separately, once the work is completed.
