Door Installation reviews in Yellow Springs

    WANNEMACHER'S DOOR & TRIM SVC
After we had our kitchen and bathroom flooring replaced, the new flooring was slightly lower, leaving a gap under our existing molding. The flooring installers recommended the addition of shoe molding and put us in contact with Wannemacher. They came out quickly to do an estimate, and they even took the paint we had used for trim so they could paint the molding to match before installing it. They were able to get back about two weeks later to cut and install the painted molding. The whole job was done in under 2 hours. Even with some odd angles and challenging walls (and LOTS of little corners), the molding turned out great, a very professional job. I'm so glad we chose to use them and didn't try to make all those cuts ourselves.

    J & M Custom Construction Inc
A few months back, J&M construction replaced many of my old outdated windows and doors. I liked the work and experience so well, my wife and I decided to hire them again for a very large scale project, which we will review upon completion. The windows James installed were beautiful and as effecient as they come. I can tell we are saving big bucks in energy costs. The trim work around the windows looks so much better than our old windows. In addition to the windows, James also installed a sliding glass patio door that was 6 foot along with a front entry door. The quality of the install was top notch and the price was better than 3 out of 4 of the other estimates we received from other companies. I normally go with the cheapest I can find but I couldn't justify it after reading the other companies Angie's list reviews.

    The Solutionist Inc
I Learned about The Solutionist from friends who had experienced his work. One got a full kitchen remodel. The other had a long list of details which needed to be fixed to prepare their home for sale. I saw his results and I knew he was just what I needed.

Paschal came and listened to what I had in mind, measured the job and provided a detailed estimate.

Once I accepted, he picked up the linen closet door to use as the color match for the doors being replaced. Once the doors were prepped, he dropped them on-site on a Friday and began the job the next Monday. All was clean and neat when he left on Friday.

The first day he brought a "second" to assist in the prep work (e.g. taking down old hardware) and all the things one needs an extra hand to do. His second even rubbed _Old English_ into the scratches on doors which weren't replaced and painted the repair of the door jamb so it didn't show anything but "I'm fixed".

Before the first step through the door he laid down plastic on the floor and covered it with a drop cloth. The ceiling dry wall work was done inside a "booth" created with plastic and support poles. Clean up at the end was meticulous. I even offered to vacuum myself and Paschal would not leave it to me, such was his pride to complete the job.

I work from home and needed quiet for a teleconference one day. They planned that day so that the work could continue but I would not be disturbed!

This job completes my goal of making this house a finished home.

    Buckeye Home Improvements LLC
excellent work.  they were on time, and got the job done quickly.  Tom was careful to design the closet so that it looked great and totally fit into the room.  He made suggestions on size and on how to frame the closet to enclose the exposed pipes and ductwork.  His workers did a great job on the drywall, on the framing, on the application of the siding to the outside of the closet.  Basically, this was excellent work and it was completed in a timely manner, which is very important to us.  Wonderful work and an easy guy to work with and talk to.  We'd call him again.

    Xenia Glass & Lock
Our existing screens had old wood frames, and the screens could not be repaired without rebuilding the frames. They replaced these with screens with an aluminum frame that can be more easily removed/repaired. We also added pet-resistant screen on the bottom half. Beautiful job, quick and professional. A little more than we wanted to pay, but we had used Xenia Glass and Lock before, and I knew they would do an excellent job.

    Xenia Glass & Lock
We've used Xenia Glass before, and as always, they showed up to do the work on time. They worked quickly, did an excellent job, and cleaned up after themselves when the job was complete. In this case, the outer door frame needed to be painted (it had been primed already), and they gave me the necessary information about that.

    Xenia Glass & Lock
We got good advice during the selection process, and we picked a door that was $200-500 cheaper than the exact same door at other companies. No high pressure sales--just good help and advice. When the door came in, they called to make an installation appointment. They were on time, polite, and did the work quickly, including installing a new frame and trim around the door.

Well very well. They were on time, very professional. Continued working into the evening until the work was done. I would definitely call them again if needed. The price was reasonable.

They did a great job, it went quickly, and they even fixed another door that was sticking a little while they were there (at no extra cost).
