Masonry reviews in Wyoming

Concrete steps work was great! Contractors came out right away and fixed all satisfactory within a week. Brick work was ok, but the contractors did NOT finish the work I paid them to do. They left as soon as I paid them the check. Said they would stay and finish but didn't.

    Karl Mattes Co Inc
Took almost 3 weeks to complete because of weather. The crew showed up several times during the fix, I was never bothered, as they preformed the work and left. When they were finished I received a phone call, and was told they would send me a bill after Karl inspected the finished product. Very pleased with the work ethic of all the men on this job. Everyone always deferred back to Karl, who I suspect, hires very qualified personnel.

Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Cincinnati
Great, no complaints. They were professional, you can tell their masons are very skilled in their profession. They cleaned up well and when they forgot to do one thing involving the chimney flue my husband called, they came back in two days and completed the job. We will need a new roof in a few years and we will hire them to replace the roof.

    Rick Arnold Masonry
    (1) The tuck-point of the first old stone wall was excellent. The wall looks almost like a newly built stone wall. The capability of a true stone mason was clearly reflected in the high quality of work performed. (2) The repair of the 8 foot length of a second old stone wall went as expected. The crumbling end of the second wall has been repaired and looks like new.

    Vilardo's Complete Masonry
They did an excellent job and cleaned up all the brick after they were done. They made use of everything and were very professional. I would definitely use them again and I would highly recommend them.

    Glenn Mills Outdoor Solutions
Glenn is a super guy to work with. He went beyond what was asked of him and repaired damage I hadn't even noticed. He is very thorough with his work. He pointed out other problem areas of my house that should be addressed. I will definitely call him back to fix these issues at a later date. He did a lot of extra work but didn't charge any more than originally agreed on.

    Tom Shields Masonry
I needed a person to repair a swimming pool in mid-August. Tom Shields
came out, explained what needed to be done, seemed to understand what he
was doing and I agreed to hire him. He promised me the job would be
completed - no problem before labor day you will be putting water in
    your pool.
He showed up and worked Thursday / Friday. I paid him 700 dollars.
He showed up the next week and worked. I paid him 1000 dollars.
He worked Monday and Tuesday the next day, and on Tuesday he asked me
for 400 dollars so he could pay his helpers. I paid him that money. That
was my mistake. On a job that was supposed to be done for 2800 dollars
he had now gotten 2100. He took the next day off because of a dentist
appointment. Then came the labor day weekend. He showed up that Tuesday
alone, did some cleanup for a few hours and left.
He never worked again on my property.
The next week I contacted him and he told me he would be there on
Friday, finish installing my pool coping and would do the tile on Monday
and Tuesday. He never showed up.
10 Days later he promised to be there the next day. He never showed up.
Then it was the next week. He promised to be there on Wednesday and never showed up.
four weeks and I had had enough. I texted him over the weekend and
pleaded with him, "If you're not going to finish the job, let me know
because it's October and I need to get a cover on my pool, I'll hire
someone else if you don't plan on doing it." He promised to be there on
    Monday but it rained.
Today he messaged me and said he had some stops to make but he was
bringing a crew and would be here all day. but he never showed
At this point he managed to cheat me out of money for work that wasn't done.
He's failed to show up and complete the job for four weeks.

    Glenn Mills Outdoor Solutions
Glenn Mills was very prompt with our request for an estimate to remove two wing walls attached to our house that were failing, as well as filling in various cracks in our brick. He quoted a price that could not even come close to be beaten by other companies (we always do our due diligence and get multiple quotes). Work was done within days of securing a city permit. Any problems encountered along the way were handled promptly and professionally. Overall, we could not be happier with the services we received from Glenn Mills and his crew! Highly recommend him to anybody!!

    What a great experience.
Cinci Stone Contractors were fast, honest, knowledgeable, and helpful and did amazing work at a fair price.
Would definitely use again, except they did such great work, I won't need repairs for a while now!

We had contracted in the fall  with a concrete company to remove part of the original porch on our old brick four square. The porch had two large wing walls that were leaning and about to fall and two smaller wing walls that were attached to the house.  The concrete contractor could remove the two large walls as they were not going to be put back and were not tied into the brick of the house ( or so we thought) however he would not be able to remove the two small wing walls as the brick was tied into the main structure.  We met with someone that the concrete contractor had worked with before  but we didn't feel a comfort level that he had the experience with historic buildings that was necessary as we didn't want the patch to be obvious as it was on the front of our house.  I then began to look for a brick restoration company and found Anderson Building Restoration. The pictures on the website were amazing!  I contacted them and explained we were on a tight time frame as it was late fall,  he couldn't have been nicer he said he would come out and look at what we had and let us know what it would cost.  Roger Anderson the owner came out explained in detail what they would do to blend the bricks into the wall and also match the grout to the 90 year surrounding area.
He emailed me a bid by the next day. His bid was higher than the other contractor but we decided that his experience was worth it.
Before they could complete the work the weather turned and the concrete contractor delayed the job to spring.  I contacted Roger and we decided to wait to start the brickwork also until spring.  I called Roger in early March and they got started right away.
Roger's team are true professionals and I would say artists at what they do.  The walls were removed and patched, for the most part before the concrete work was done, they left the last few brick out so they could get a good edge with the new porch.  Then they treated the brick until it blended into the old wall. The final result was amazing, you can hardly see where the  walls stood for over 90 years.
Roger was also very nice when the removal of the larger wing walls revealed damage on the pillars of the front porch. His team came back out and again made the old and broken look new again.
All this said masonry work is not inexpensive and if you want true restoration work done, and not just a patch, it will cost a little more but in my mind it was well worth it.. Don't hesitate in hiring Anderson Building Restoration, you will not be disappointed.
