    Last service was just a routine checkup. Over the years, Dr. Chapman and crew have kept my teeth in great shape. Dental hygienist ( who I spend most of my visit with) is very pleasant and skilled. Office environment is very relaxing, an early American decor, not the standard bleak medical office environment.

    Central Ohio Endodontics
    This was the 7th (yes!) root canal that Dr. Steve Smith performed on me. It was quite a challenge for him, as he discovered an extra nerve back there, and quite a bit of decay. I have a small mouth and the tooth was a back molar. Mainly, though, the tooth is the anchor for a bridge. If the tooth could not be saved, I would have required an implant and a new bridge. Because of the deterioration of the tooth, it was questionable whether or not it could be saved, but Dr. Smith said that he believed it was worth a try. I would not have gone to any other endodontist, as I believe Dr. Smith is very honest and would have told me if he didn't believe it was salvageable. This procedure took him almost 2 1/2 hrs. but as he explained the next day when he called, he did a lot of work on that tooth and he was able to find some live tissue so the tooth has been saved. I am very grateful for Dr. Smith's quality of care and his kindness. With my previous six root canals that Dr. Smith performed, I did not experience much, if any, post procedure pain. Of course there was no pain during any of the procedures. Usually, I would take some ibuprofen the evening of the root canal and by the next morning there was no pain whatsoever. This time was different, I believe because of the complexity of he procedure. I had to take ibuprofen for several days afterward, but I am not complaining, just thankful.

    Very fine. The dental hygienist was thorough and had a great "bedside" manner. Dr. Spector did the checkup. Everything was low-key. There was no pressure to sell anything or perform work that wasn't necessary. Overall, very professional.

    Having had too many bad experiences with dentists during my 56 years, Dr.Tikson found a way to make me relax and trust her. This is not a small achievement. Outstanding dentist. Also, all the staff I had interaction with were very professional and very friendly. If Dentists makes you nervous, Dr.Tikson is the one for you.

    The Gentle Dentist
    Overall, I had an absolutely terrible experience. My dad is a dentist and I'm a more informed patient than most probably are, but I think anyone would have agreed this was just awful.

    1. I came in during a cleaning, complaining about the pain, explaining I think it was an old filling
    2. They agreed, and scheduled me out a couple days to get it filled by a dentist
    3. During the filling appointment, they used far less anesthetic than I needed to not feel any pain in the tooth. I had to interrupt them twice during the procedure for more anesthetic, and I struggled to get their attention because the dentist and assistant were engrossed in a personal conversation
    4. As they wrapped up, I could tell my bite was WAY WAY off and felt terrible (like I was chewing on a piece of gum. It was an incredibly small filling to begin with, so they must have shaved off an inappropriately huge amount of my molar to screw up my bite so badly.
    5. As I complained about the bite, the dentist was unconcerned and seemed in a rush to get me out of there.
    6. I left, only to call the next day to ask for them to adjust the bite, which they scheduled out several days (during which I just left my jaw hanging open half the time because it couldn't rest on the tooth)
    7. When I asked them to readjust, it was obvious the dentist lacked any skill at adjusting a bite and just took a ton off my molar (of which I'm pretty sensitive that I can never get back), all the while screwing the bite up even worse and apparently misreading the  bite markers
    8. Came home, bite was still terrible, was also painful to chew or eat because the dentist inadvertently broke the seal of the cavity

    Ultimately, I drove three hours to have my dad fix it. He had to, sadly, drill an even larger hole to completely refill the cavity, but he was at least able to adjust my bite properly. Unfortunately, I still deal with some pain and discomfort because of the incident, over a year later.

    Would recommend avoiding Gentle Dentist.

    The Gentle Dentist

     Excellent dentists!  Both my daughter and I went here after we had a really bad experience w a different dentist office.  We choose here because of the excellent reviews and they totally lived up to expectations!  Great bedside manner, great with kids!  You don't need to be afraid of the dentist here and they are honest and don't recommend work that does not need to be done (can't say the same for my prior dentist)!

    We saw Dr Bossert and Dr Baker.  Both were excellent!  Thank you for providing an experience that where we feel comfortable and taken care of!

    My wife and I began with The Gentle Dentist when we first moved to Worthington in 1996. Back then it was a two-dentist office. We have been with the group ever since and have received excellent dental care in a very friendly setting. We can't imagine ever going elsewhere.

    First, let me say I have Dr. Moats has been my dentist since 1999.  During this time the service, professionalism and availibility has been consistently outstanding.the commuication was excellent.  The staff has universally been responsive and friendly. It speaks for itself that most of his staff, including his dental assistent have been wjith the practice since I first availed myself of his services.
    As to the care; it has always been excellent., Dr Moats explains what he is doing and is very aware/concenred about any discomfort I have had.  His work has been very good and I have had no ccmplications.
    The setting, for the practice, is bright, clean and pleasent. The waiting room has the feel of a living room.
    I have no reservations referring friends and others for his services.

    It was in 2011, it was my first visit there, I went for cleaning, x-rays and exam, this was also with a coupon. They told me I needed about $2000 in work, they said I needed to come and replace because I had a new cavity that I needed a crown and hey I was in luck that they could do it that day, right then. The place was dirty, it stink, and I declined I said give me your estimates and they wrote it down on a plain piece of paper, they said their printer was broken, so it was all written in a plain piece of paper with actually no identification. I’m sure it was quite purposeful. So I went to another dentist and guess what, I didn’t need any of that, not a bit. It was just plain all fraud.
