  • Elmer is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He was thorough on the phone and showed up on time. While he was here he took the time to explain everything he was doing and even educate me on things I could do myself in the future. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to friends.

  • The quote was quick and efficient. I had 2 other quotes that were double the price.

They were on time and ready to work.  There was a minor change to the initial quote which was a very minor cost increase but still reviewed it with be before doing it.  The closet was about 10-20 degrees colder in the winter and we could not keep the door open even through it had fiberglass insulation on it (no insulation between the floor of the closet and the garage).  Once the job was completed, it was a very noticeable difference.

They also cleaned up both areas they worked on very well.

  • They spent a considerable amount of time talking through the project and our expectations.  He looked through the basement and second floor to make sure there wouldn't be any unexpected issues to deal with once the work started.  Previously they have installed ceiling fans in second floor rooms that didn't have fixtures already installed.  The work was completed at the time that was agreed to for the amount quoted.  There wasn't any indication they were even there as they cleaned every speck of the mess!  They are very professional, courteous and helpful.  I would recommend them to everyone.

  • The handyman sent was an incredibly nice and pleasant person.  We enjoyed so much having him around and trusted him entirely being alone at our home.  He also went to Lowe's to buy the shower curtain rod for us as we were not sure which type would work best.  However, he had a lot of difficulty hanging the ceiling fan and that job took half of the 8 hours we paid for through the Angie's List deal.  It also took quite a bit of time to install the shower rod and it did not seem like perhaps he had the best equipment for the job.   We had to pay additional money on top of the deal for materials / parts which is understandable but at the end of the day that was a LOT of money to pay for just a few small jobs.  We will not be using again.

  • I priced several electricians but Dan Phelps gave the best price.  He said that he's installed so many ceiling fans that he could give the estimate over the phone  Dan arrived on schedule and the job took as long as he said it would.  Price was exactly as quoted.  Dan works by himself, although his father, a retired electrician, came along to help with things like fishing the cable.  If I needed electrical work I'd call Dan again

  • I was very happy with the service. I paid for four hours of handyman services for $176. I made a list of about 15 items that needed fixed in the house, from installing light fixtures with appropriate electrical boxes to weatherstripping the front door. I made the list thinking he'd only get a few items done but he finished everything, and this even included a trip to Lowe's to get some supplies. He replaced two bathroom light fixtures and patched the holes in the wall; caulked a bathtub faucet, fixed a ceiling fan that was getting ready to fall from the ceiling, weatherstripped the front door, fixed a broken kitchen drawer, and several other items.
There was a problem with the front door locking after the weatherstripping was installed which I didn't catch until later in the evening, but he was there the next day to fix it (he had to use a thinner weatherstripping) and the door locks properly and I don't notice the cold draft any longer.
The only downside - if there is one - is that he's pretty booked up so it took me about 4 weeks to get in. I'll definitely use him again, but wish it was easier to get on his schedule.

  • Based on conversation with Matt prior to purchasing 4 hour deal, I purchased various materials I thought would be needed.
Matt vented two second story bathroom exhaust fans to outside.
Re-installed a light fixture over master bath vanity that had pulled away from drywall. He installed portion of 2x4 to secure electrical box I purchased and to center fixture over vanity area. He replaced missing piece of drywall and spackled as needed. I did not request any painting as I am unsure if I will repaint another color and didn't care to bother at that time with the few small areas that needed it - he did such a great job that not much will be needed if I decide to not change color.
Inspected three windows that do not stay up in proper place. He noted needed part and will look into availability and cost for future repair.
Replaced board on privacy fence for gate that hold three hinges.
Removed board from bottom front of sink cabinets so I could access to do some weather-sealing as cabinets against exterior wall. He noted proper size and type board needed and will replace the backer board in future repair. Reattached board and reapplied trim board to it.
Due to on and off rain not possible (not safe) for being on 2nd story roof. Matt did go to first story roof of garage and did inspection of various areas I discussed with him for potential future repair. Matt and I walked perimeter of house and I pointed out various area of concern, he also pointed out areas of concern I had not noticed.
Will be purchasing another deal for Matt to do work in spring when weather is cooperative.

  • This was an Angie's list deal. I purchased 3 hours of electrical work. The gentleman who came out was very nice but after taking breaks I might have gotten 2 hours of actual work. Can't pull the chain to adjust fan speed.
This firm no longer does electrical work and wanted me to ask Angie's list for a refund. Wish I had.

  • The serviceman was right on time and very professional. He did everything that I asked and it took around an hour. He also explained why the water heater and other lights were turning off and the circuit was shutting off. I was impressed with everything. I will definitely use this company again!

  • It took a while from the initial purchase to get the work done, but unlike other reviewers I understand the weather and volume of responses to the package deal were the causes. After speaking with Rick and setting the appointment I was able to leave a note on my front door explaining to the crew what work I wanted to have done. From that they came while I was at work, and when I arrived home it was like they had performed a miracle. My beds and garden were in terrible shape the weather and work travel had prevented me from getting anything done myself. Everything that I wanted to have done was completed and looked fantastic.
