    Black Diamond Contracting
The roof was done quickly, in less than ideal weather, do to a leak. The siding was done on the first clear day available. Everything looks great, they did a great job of working with the insurance company as well.

    Hansen Restoration Inc
Jim Hansen arrived at our house within 48 hours of placing a call to request a quote, and we then got the quote a day or two later- very impressive! We were thrilled with the punctuality, and figured this was an indicator that the project would go quickly. Not so. Since we decided not to do everything Jim quoted us, we were assigned another project manager. From start to finish, it took 5 months to have two windows installed, a room painted, the attic port hole cut in, and a small section of molding on the outside of the house replaced. We were told that the reason our project was moving so slowly is that their restoration customers take priority since many of them have been forced out of their homes due to a fire or flooding. I completely understand, but if Hansen doesnt have enough staff and/or subcontractors to handle both restoration AND remodeling work, then they should choose to only focus on one (restoration or remodeling). The quality of the work was good, but the poor communication with the project manager, and the painfully slow speed at which the work was done are the two reasons we wont hire Hansen for our next project: tearing down the wall, vaulting the ceiling, painting, and installing new flooring throughout the first floor. Also, they had to re-route our furnace exhaust as part of the project, and when the windows were installed, the furnace exhaust wasnt up to code. The exhaust was within a few inches of the new windows when it needs to be at least 3 feet (I thinkregardless, the exhaust was way too close, and not up to code). I pointed out this code violation to them, and they wanted to charge me between $300-$400 to fix, and bring up to code. I refused to pay since this should have been accounted for in the initial quote. Eventually, they agreed to fix it which I was happy about.

I had all my supplies so I handed them my supplies. They took them less than an hour. They're just amazing people. They're a local company. They just did anything I needed them to do. The price was very reasonable. The quality was very good.

    Fredericksburg Builders
Excellent.  Fredericksburg builders work is top of the line.
We had hail damage on the roof and siding.  Called Fredericksburg builders for an estimate.  They sent someone out within a few days. He worked with us and our insurance adjuster to get everything replaced.  Once all the financial was in place, they immediately scheduled replacement.  My house looks great!  They did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs roofing and or siding replaced. The roof was completed in 2 days and the siding in about a week with little or no mess. The workers were very polite and considerate in the fact that I needed to continue to get in and out of my driveway during the time they were working.  If I need work done again, I would definitely call Fredericksburg again.  However, with the quality of work they do, I am hopeful that I won't need to replace anything again soon!

    Fredericksburg Builders
Over the years we have undertaken many renovations to the homes in which we have lived. To do the renovation of our patio room into an all-season room, we spent a month interviewing six different builders and getting estimates. We liked how thorough Fredericksburg Builders were in discussing with us our ideas for our all-season room. We were also impressed with how they itemized and presented the contract to us. They offered ideas, and listened to our ideas and revisions throughout the planning period. When we finally decided upon the plans for the renovation their construction supervisor was very thorough in going over the contract  to make sure that we were all on the same page. Their estimate of the cost was the most economical of all the contractors we interviewed.
Once the construction started, the crews arrived on time to begin the demolition of the old patio enclosure. From that point forward, all materials for the construction were delivered on time and on site for the crews to promptly begin work. All of the crews that worked on our project had a good work ethic, were polite, and cleaned up the site after their workday. Crews were diligent about not damaging our rubberized surface around the pool area by having plywood covering the area throughout the project.
The heating system was somewhat of a challenge. We had hot-water radiant heat in the floor of the existing family room. For the new addition, we wanted to extend the radiant heat to the new portion of the all-season room. The heating contractor, Alpine Heating, evaluated the existing system and devised a means of connecting the radiant floor heating to the existing water boiler.
All the crews were knowledgeable and efficient. They did an outstanding job laying the new tile after they had ripped up the old. The siding, doors, and windows were installed skillfully. But, what was really impressive was that they retrieved some of our old exterior bricks to finish off the fireplace in a manner we never expected so that it is a feature of the new all season room. The gate to our fence around the pool which the new all season room faces when finished looked like the original.
What was exceptional was how the construction supervisor was always on top of things, willing to listen, and was concerned with how the end result would meet our expectations! We can only say that the addition of the new all season room far exceeded our expectations!

    Dave's Installation
Dave came and gave an estimate for work to be done. In the end I ended up doing the work myself but I was very impressed by Dave. I found him to be very professional and punctual. While no work was performed his estimate was very reasonable and I would use his services in the future if needed.

Paul Davis Restoration of Mid Ohio
We had a tree fall on our house on July 1st.  After we got the insurance
adjuster out, we had Paul Davis Restoration out around the 25th of
July.  They said they were busy and it would be about 4 weeks until they
could start.  Understandable, even though the wood under my siding
would be exposed to weather.  They didn't start until 6 weeks later, 2
weeks after they said they would.  Never called and warned us of any
delay, never apologized.  Then on top of that they show up 5 times
without calling, even though they were asked time and time again to
please call before showing up.  Each time I confronted him about it, he
would say "Oh, I didn't get your number from the office" and when I
would offer to give it to him he said he couldnt write it down because
he was busy.  Lets move on, they call and say they are done with the job
and would like me to sign a completion notice.  So I went out to take a
look and they didn't finish the whole left side of the house! So the
next day, they come out and work on it and said they would have to order
the corner piece of the siding.  It would take about a week, two weeks
at the most.  Well, they just came out on friday and he tried coming up
with all these excuses as to why 2 weeks turned into 5.  Then seemed completely shocked when I asked for a discount.  Bottom line, you do what you say you are going to do and not take 3
and a half months to do a 2 day job.  They lack good customer service,
professionalism and good work ethic.  Do not use these people.

Hi .. Hey I have absolutly NOTHING BAD to say about this company . Wayne Pruitt is a man of his words & Did everything he said they would .  I understand that they do have 2 different crews working for Wayne Siding  and know nothing about the other guy but Wayne Pruitt and his crews did an excellent job on everything they did . They cleaned up VERY WELL afterwards even came back a second time to run the magnet a second time over my just to make sure on their own / not per my request . Was IMPRESSED . I`ve had this type of work done before and they never even did that once.  Not to much else to say other then from the estimate to the end  WAYNE IS  1 OF THE FINEST GUYS OUT THERE . I work in the constuction trades and have seen alot .                                      !!!!!!!!   YOU WONT GO WRONG WITH WAYNE PRUITT   !!!!!!!!                                    Mike

I called them after a major storm for an estimate. Little did I know I would be inundated with "storm chaser" contractors. Wayne Siding was the only one who seemed more interested in my needs rather than getting the most out of the insurance company.
