    Aire Serve is a great company with great employees. Our air conditioner went out at 7 pm, and they responded immediately the next day. They opened our unit and found chunks of ice in and around our condenser, fan motor, and such. They defrosted all the ice, and then damage to the lines, where a leak was at. Our furnace and ac unit were 18 years old, and beyond their expected life expectancy. They added freon to the unit, and explained that they could not determine how long it would last. A sales representative came the next day, and suggested several options. The idea was to replace the ac unit, but due to the age of the furnace, we requested a quote on it as well. We selected a great package that was much less than we expected, including discounts for being a retired US Navy veteran. They discounted the service fee for the original call from the cost of the furnace and ac unit. Aire Serve assisted us with financing at a great rate, and then within 3 days were able to return to our home, remove the old units and install the new units all in about 8 hours. Before the installers showed up to perform the installation, we received a phone call from Aire Serv to let us know that someone was on the way. Within 1 hour of the completion of the installation of the units we received a phone call from Aire Serv to inform us that a service rep was on their way to ensure proper installation and answer any questions. They set up a follow up visit to ensure that the unit was working properly. All in all, my wife and I would like to thank Aire Serv for their professionalism, concern for our specific needs, attention to detail, and follow up on a job well done. We have purchased a service package from them, and the first three visits are free.

    The owner visited us to quote and plan everything.  No pressure and very personable yet professional.  The men who came to do the installation were also very friendly and professional.  They did a great job, had the work done when expected and checked in frequently to see that the equipment was operating properly.  They even have an annual maintenance check that is nice to have!

    Our old system was 25 years old and had quit using salt. I stopped by their show room and explained what was going on with the system and Chris noted that a 25 year old mineral tank had probably failed but he would send a tech out to make sure it wasn't the control head and to take and measure water samples for hardness and iron.

    Gene's Refrigeration Heating AC Plumbing & Elec
    The service technicians admitted to us that they had no idea what was wrong with our generator - they just kept replacing parts in attempt to fix it and it didn't work.   (The service technicians who installed this generator and knew how to trouble-shoot it are no longer employed by Gene's.)  Gene's came to our house 5 times and replaced 3 major parts, but the generator still didn't work. We kept asking them to call Carrier and ask for help, but apparently this wasn't done.  The service technician kept telling us that he was going to order another part and they would call us when it came in, but then we never heard from them.  We kept calling them weekly for 3 months, but they never once contacted us to follow-up.  In desperation, we called repeatedly and asked to speak with the current person in charge (we were told his name was 'Keith'), but we kept getting excuses why Keith wasn't availabe to talk to us about all our problems with service.  After promises that Keith would call us 4 different times - it never happened.  
    Additionally, whenever we did have an appt. for service scheduled many times the service technician did not show up at that time, or often even that day!
    We had originally used Briggs Heating and Cooling for many years for our repairs.  About 10-12 years ago Gene's Refrigeration purchased Briggs, and for some time we had the same reliable repair technicians.  But gradually these people retired and were replaced by technicians who were not as reliable or knowledgeable as the ones Briggs had used.  We tried for many years to stay with Gene's, but we're now fed up with them and have no confidence in their abilities.  
    Interestingly, we stopped calling Gene's several weeks ago, and have heard nothing from them about repairing our generator (and which we had purchased a yearly contract with them for maintenance!).  
    We called another repair service and they are working with us to repair our generator.  Interestingly, they found - in just a few minutes - that the problem with it seemed to be in the electrical voltage regulator - and that those other 3 major circuit boards that Gene's replaced may have not needed to replaced after all!

    GIFT'S HEATING & COOLING
    Our AC unit outside had ice on it I saw it when I was mowing . I checked out inside house to find the blower was not working. I called Gifts Heating Harold came in about 1 1/2 hours to check it out found bad control board he by- passed the board for the blower so we would have AC until he could order the part . The new part came in he called showed up and to his dismay the part was wrong he took down the model # and serial # the first trip he rechecked to be sure he had the right #s and he did so he reordered the part it came in correct . Installed and all is well. Harold charged us ONE service trip and labor for the three trips he made. Fair and honest !!!!

    Workers were professional Took a lot longer than anticipated Think they're overpriced Heater leaked propane horribly, so they sent out a man, but he said he couldn't find the leak so we had to disconnect the garage heater !

    We could have lost our home to fire. They had repaired the furnace just before we moved in. A week later, when I arrived home and grabbed the door knob, it was HOT. The house was over 120 degrees and the furnace was roaring. I called Roberts and he came right away. Long story short, he came a couple times, kept charging me, and was never able to get the furnace running properly.

    The furnace worked fine for the repair man but he did not leave with a bill for nothing. he called me to find out more about the problem. It is a service call for nothing since it won't act up for the repair man. Ouch but understandable.







    In pricing cleaning and seasonal preventative care They had a 3 times a year plan to clean and service for a reasonable price with the benefits it included. and a on time servicing again normal price for the area. However, I really don't think a natural gas furnace needs that extensive of service repeatedly.  My experience is components that make the furnace efficient usually go out with no way to predict it. They usually cost more than the savings in fuel. Not the service providers fault.
