    BARNETTS BEST FOR LESS PAINT
Steve and his colleague took the time to do all the appropriate prep work prior to painting. They made sure everything was taped off and covered, removed hardware from several doors, and caulked all the gaps prior to painting. They arrived the same time everyday and completed the job in a timely manner. The end result was a neat, clean job with even coverage. He easily handled minor requests along the way. It was a difficult job painting only doors, trim, windows and closets which is why this is the first time we hired a painter. The price was affordable in comparison to the difficulty of the job.

    Hansen Restoration Inc
Jim Hansen arrived at our house within 48 hours of placing a call to request a quote, and we then got the quote a day or two later- very impressive! We were thrilled with the punctuality, and figured this was an indicator that the project would go quickly. Not so. Since we decided not to do everything Jim quoted us, we were assigned another project manager. From start to finish, it took 5 months to have two windows installed, a room painted, the attic port hole cut in, and a small section of molding on the outside of the house replaced. We were told that the reason our project was moving so slowly is that their restoration customers take priority since many of them have been forced out of their homes due to a fire or flooding. I completely understand, but if Hansen doesnt have enough staff and/or subcontractors to handle both restoration AND remodeling work, then they should choose to only focus on one (restoration or remodeling). The quality of the work was good, but the poor communication with the project manager, and the painfully slow speed at which the work was done are the two reasons we wont hire Hansen for our next project: tearing down the wall, vaulting the ceiling, painting, and installing new flooring throughout the first floor. Also, they had to re-route our furnace exhaust as part of the project, and when the windows were installed, the furnace exhaust wasnt up to code. The exhaust was within a few inches of the new windows when it needs to be at least 3 feet (I thinkregardless, the exhaust was way too close, and not up to code). I pointed out this code violation to them, and they wanted to charge me between $300-$400 to fix, and bring up to code. I refused to pay since this should have been accounted for in the initial quote. Eventually, they agreed to fix it which I was happy about.

    Greg Johnson Small Job Specialist
Greg was awesome. It was a busy time of year and there were some scheduling conflicts BUT Mr. Johnson stayed in touch and never forgot about me. All the work was done to the letter and then some. He put up new furring strips on the ceiling, taking care of the sagging no problem. He added new weather stripping to the garage and man door. He also made an awesome little access hatch to keep the weather away from some valuable plumbing. Not to mention replacing and patching specified areas of drywall. Another major plus in my book was that Greg cleaned up any debris and dirt every day at the end of the day. Honestly, he left the place cleaner than he found it. (Sorry Greg) All the work was done in a matter of a few days, and I am definitely going to be hiring him again.

    Greg Johnson Small Job Specialist
Greg was very pleasant to work with. He came out and gave us an estimate and we scheduled the work about a week later. He only took a few days to complete the work. Attention to detail was terrific. We were very pleased with him and his work.

Crystal Clean Power Wash and Paint Service
Crystal Clean Powerwash and Paint Service (CCPW) did a wonderful job painting our 2-story family room, foyer and ceilings.  They were very professional and polite.  They were also very neat and clean and wore boot covers to make sure they didn't track anything into our house from outside.
We noticed some streaks in the ceiling after they painted it and they immediately came back and repainted the ceiling to make it right.
I gave them a "B" on responsiveness only because we had to wait a few months after our initial contact until they could do the job, but it was because they were booked solid for several months - BECAUSE THEY ARE THAT GOOD!!!
I would highly recommend CCPW to anyone needing a quality paint job at a fair price.

    Russ Construction
Mark and Tom were always on time and finished the project according to schedule. There were no problems and it was a real pleasure to work with them. Russ Construction is first class. Mark sticks to his estimate and there are no surprises. They leave the place clean afterwards.

    J. Bowers Construction Co
This company was recommended to us by our insurance adjuster. We have a flat roof and it was damaged by an ice storm. I never received an estimate, itemized bill or anything. Everytime I asked for something the pat answer is "Don't worry, Donnie will take care of it." The company could do the repair so they hired a subcontractor to do the job. No written guarantee, nothing. Well 6 years later my roof is leaking again. When I called to ask for the subcontractor's name they didn't remember who did it.

Attorneys were involved and it is just a huge mess. I now have to hire another company and pay for it again because as my insurance adjuster put it "we don't cover sloppy jobs."

The plaster is coming off the ceiling in 2 bedrooms. One of which they plastered 6 years ago.

    The workers were very nice.

    LEHMAN PAINTING
The entire process with Lehman Painted went very well. Mr. Lehman always answered the phone and was very quick to come give and estimate. As busy as he was he fit us into his schedule very quickly. The entire process was very pleasant and proffesional. The painting was outstanding.

    KRUSOE PAINTING AND PAPERHANGING
Outstnad - he comes to give the estimate then if you accept, he shows up when he says he will and does the job in the time frame he estimates. His work is nice and clean and well done. He helped me with colors both times and I liked his suggestions real well. He is a little shy. I would his prices to be very competitive - actually lower than others and his quality was very good. I was pleased, have used him twice and will do so again.
