    Sam's Lock & Key
Sam knows what he is doing as he was working he was explaning what he was doing. Im always intererested how things work. I was so pleased with him i would say give him a try. I purchased a condo I had a key for each door. Now I have one key for everything so much easier.

He gave me a really hard time. He claimed the door handle doesn?t work. We had an argument and I said we?d need to contact the manufacturer. He claimed he couldn?t wait for me to contact them. He said he would have to charge me for extra time. We called the company, and they walked him through it. There was nothing wrong with it. That is my first complaint. On the keypad, there are different numbers you have to delete to use your own code. He did not delete the original code numbers. I have a problem with someone getting into my house and that person has already got in 3 times. Even though I have my own code number, if you don?t erase all the code numbers someone else can still get in the house. She took my booklet, put in the codes, and got into my house. I?ve called him to come back and he said he?d have to charge me. I have no choice to work with him again, and I have to pay him again. I called him and I said let me know when you are coming over. He did not let me know when he was coming over and just popped over. I told him I had to go to the hospital. I told him he should have told me when he was coming over. I told me that he did not program this properly according to the manufacturer. And he said that that is not his problem once again.

The technician was right on time. The work was definitely performed to our satisfaction, and the technician was very pleasant and willing to discuss everything he was doing to fix things. He even took a moment to clean up some of the small wood shavings on the floor from the work he had performed.

Rick came in and did a quick assessment of all of the doors. He noted that some of the locks had bee installed incorrectly. He then proceeded to clean them before retooling them. Now instead of three different keys for these locks, I now just have one key that can open them all. He didn't charge for cleaning the old locks, and he was able to take any payment options (cash, cc or check). Excellent customer experience. I would easily recommend Highland Security to anyone who needs locksmith service.

In December 2015, they came out to install a security lock because someone was getting into my house. At that time, I was double charged for the $230 installation. I had to jump through hoops to get them to send back the extra $230 that was charged in error. After installation someone has gotten into my house several times. Recently I noticed things were missing in my home even after the new lock was installed. I called the owner, who wasn?t in, and the receptionist told me I must have forgotten to lock the door or gave my key to someone. The owner called me back when I wasn?t home and I returned the call when I got home. The receptionist told me the owner would be in at 9:00. I received a call back from the owner. During this conversation the owner let me know the bolt is longer than the previous which should add extra security. It?s actually the same length. Then she told me it?s not longer, it?s heavier. This is when I brought up being charged twice in December. She denied the double charged having happened. However in the subsequent days she called Direct Express at 1am to issue the $230 refund.

I brought up the double charge in this morning?s conversation. She accused me of multiple phone calls and harassment. She threatened to call the police on me and hung up. I have called them again. When I called, I told them someone keeps getting in. They said if we send somebody out again, they will have to charge me again.

When I was going to pay for the service, I was going to go the ATM to pay him in cash, he didn't want to wait so asked me for my debit card, then took down all of my debit card information and went into his van. He double charged me on my debit charged, and used it as a credit. On Dec 29th, Santees deducted $231, on Dec 30th he deducted $142.83, and $87.47. I went to the grocery store, and didn't have any money on my account. I had to come home with no groceries due to this. I called Santees and Brian yelled at me and said don't accuse me if you don't have any proof mail in your statement, which would require me waiting for my debit card company to mail it from California which would take 7-10 days. He yelled at me and was mean. I have to close down my card and wait for a new card. I also have to pay for expedited shipping fees so I can use it sooner, which I need to.

    Joe's Lock & Key
The whole process went very smoothly.
Joe was responsive to emails and we were able to set up a weekend time to perform the work (on both occasions).  There was a surcharge for the distance he had to travel to my house.
While I would generally have no issue replacing a deadbolt, Joe did a great job making sure they worked perfectly.  I would not have been able to do such an expert job in as short a time as he did.
Joe is friendly and even answered my questions before and after the job was complete.
    I would unreservedly recommend him.

They were great!  Not only was the call a quick-response request 'that-day', but the technician/owner did beyond the request and recommended switching lock-type, added security to the strike plate, and also fixed a not-fully-functioning lock on a screen door.  He got there after hours at 6 p.m. and worked till past 8 p.m.  I was thrilled to have the immediate response time and the added security assurance.  Plus he added a 10% Angie's List discount!   I would highly recommend them.

    Joe's Locksmithing
He was really helpful about telling me what I needed to do and what I didn't need to do and he actually gave me a free lock, I think. He kind of refurbished something I already had and do it for me for free. I think he was fair in pricing. He was very clear about what his pricing was. I felt like for what he did for me. He changed a number of locks and changed the cord out of some other locks so what he did was fair. He was very responsive.

Rick Bausone was able to come to my house the same day I called him, for which I am extremely grateful.  He arrived on time, then quickly assessed the locks and went about re-keying them.  He also cut the number of new keys I wanted.  His work was performed quickly, neatly & professionaly, and I believe his fee was very reasonable.  Overall, he exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to hire Highland Security Lock Service again and/or recommend him to others.
