    JNR Home Maintenance Inc
James and Rich from JNR Home Maintenance were awesome. They were on time, reliable and couteous. They did a fantastic job of building a bedroom with a closet in our basement for our teenage son. It came out great and we can't wait to use it. They were very professional and organized. I would highly recommend them for any construction project you need done.

We had an offer to purchase our house and upon the buyer's home inspection termites were discovered. Needless to say, we were surprised, freaked out, and in a great hurry to get the termite situation under control and the damage caused repaired. I found JNR on Angie's List with good reviews, and the company has an A+ rating with the BBB. I called and was thrilled to get an appointment for a quote quickly. Damage was, thankfully, minimal and we were fortunate enough that there was a break in their schedule while waiting on permits for another job, so the work was done quickly....within a week of finding the termites, the damage was fixed, looks great and the house could go back on the market.  James was there when he said he'd be there, he called when he said he'd call, and he did some extra's (before & after pics and a report of the damage) to help us with future buyers. THANKS, JAMES, we would DEFINITELY use JNR again, and would very highly recommend JNR.

I had an awful time in the beginning dealing with the OTHER "storm chaser" restoration companies that swarmed me after the storm. I even went through a DIFFERENT contractors substandard work and fired them. Thankfully I found Skoda construction, called them, they came immediately out, assessed my disaster and were willing to work with me and the insurance company to get my home put back together. The insurance process is confusing and lengthy on a project with so many restoration needs and Chris Skoda has been excellent to work with. Chris, with the help of his  Project Manager Tony, has a team of many different speciality crews that I can not say enough good things about. Much of the work is done by Amish crews that are true craftsmen with skills and workmanship above and beyond belief. Every team he has sent here has been high quality craftsmen that are experts in their field. I am not exaggerating one bit on that one........EVERY TIME they come out and tackle the next piece of this project I am amazed at how perfectly perfect everything is. I am not a push over deceased father was a skilled union finisher carpenter that had me help him on many of his winter side jobs. I grew up knowing the difference between good work and crap.  My back room roof has the framing rebuilt better and stronger than it ever was. The garage that is almost complete is amazing..... bigger, better, stronger. The materials they used from the concrete foundation  up have been ALWAYS better than anything I have ever seen before. Unbelievable foundation and extra good slab.... 2X10X20ft. rafters and general framing to perfection, R38 insulation ceiling, R19 walls, 5/8" fire rated drywall everywhere.... then plastered !!!!! The electrician's work was perfection......Even our building inspector has commented on the unbelievable workmanship this garage has.......We aren't done yet... still have plenty more to complete, but I couldn't imagine anything but more of what I have already got...... Skoda Construction is a rare find in this day and times....Honesty, quality, and integrity with a highly skilled batch of craftsman that do beautiful work...... I know I am lucky to have them taking care of me. I'll post how it all works out when it's complete...... but OMG.... so far sooooo good :)

    Alpine Structures LLC
We discovered Alpine Structures at the Home Expo in Cleveland earlier in the year.
Once we had our needs identified, we asked them for a quote. They were exceptionally responsive during the quoting process and helped us pin down the final details of the order.
The order was finalized, and they told us the work would be done in 3-4 weeks, which was fine with us.
They called us about 3 weeks later to schedule the installation, and said the crew would arrive at about 6:45am.
They arrived about 6:30 am (still dark outside) and began unloading the truck. By 7:15am, the construction was underway. By 9:45am, it was completed. The installers had a plan of attack, and seemed to execute it well.
The final product was exactly as advertised and is a great addition to our back yard. We would highly recommend their services to those looking for a quality built shed.
The only suggestion for improvement would be this...
The 2 installers were younger guys. While they were polite when spoken to, they didn't seem to be overly friendly or engaging. They could probably use some coaching on some of the finer points of customer interaction as part of their training to help build and burnish the brand image of Alpine Structures.

    JNR Home Maintenance Inc
It has been very good. I would recommend them to anybody. They did a beautiful job. We found out they stand by their work too because about 3 months later, we had a really high wind here and 2 strips of the siding came loose and they came right out that afternoon after I called them and replaced it. It was very good. They've got a very good business. I got their name out of a newspaper. I had them come out and give me a bid. The way they talked and everything, they seemed to know what they were doing and I took a chance on them and I'm glad I did. We will use them again. We have already taken  a bid for my daughter's bathroom remodeling.

Steve Babb was very punctual, showed up on the first appointment on time, brought back a carpenter to review at my convenience.  Very professional, returned calls and emails. Quoted price was very reasonable.  There were other large items that would have gotten in the way of scheduled repair so it will be delayed.  I will call for estimates again when needed for many various future projects. Also would recommend to friends / neighbors.

    Jonke Construction LLC
All details of the contract were done completely. As well, we had a crack in our living room ceiling which they fixed too.  Electrical work took longer than we thought and pushed the schedule out. We started this project  July 15th and completed it Aug 16th -  approximately 5 weeks.  All in all they did a good job. Paul Jonke (owner) is very conscientious and works to satisfy the customer.
His estimate was solid and did not change. The only issue I had was nailing them down on a start date.

James and his crew were very punctual, and were very professional from start to finish. if you want good quality work and a decent price, don't hesitate to call them. they have renewed my faith that there are a few good, honest contractors out there.

    Pine Craft Storage Barns LLC
I had Pine craft build a 1 car garage that was built decent but had to have them back to fix some minor things. They left all their extra construction material and lunch garbage behind and I had to pay to have it hauled away. They filled my only trash can with building materials so we had nowhere to put our garbage for a week.Sounds like fun huh? I let it slide and did not complain. It gets better.I had them back to frame a small deck off the back of my house. I had them back again to add on to the deck frame. They did a very poor job.I installed a vinyl deck system on the frame so I know first hand the quality of material and workmanship that went into the build.Lousy workmanship, material and attitude.. The deck frame was not built square or plumb with the house to start, which made a simple deck board install very time consuming to make sure all the boards would be square to the house and not on an angle. The frame was a whole inch longer on one side than the other. Some pieces of wood used were warped and made for small bows in the decking which had to be repaired. The fasteners used were non consistent from post to post. I counted 5 different types of screws to do the same job. Each post had 2 or 3 lag bolts depending on how many they had in there pocket. The stairs were a nightmare. The stair stringers were made on site and would say they were way off on the rise and run. Each stair rise and run were different dimensions and not at a 90and deg; angle. The twisted wood used was awful so I ended up screwing 2 x4 spacers between the stringers to pull them in straight. The posts at the bottom of the stairs were a joke, they only screwed into the stringers for support and were not sunk into the ground or cemented in to anchor them. They were weak and unsupported. I had to have them back to sink them into the ground and they were not happy. Comments about how this is the first deck they built and I know more than they do were spewed. When I got home I notice my new stamped concrete had been ruined with chunks cracked off in front of each spot where they dug to secure the stair posts. This was an extremely disappointing experience and would not recommend this company unless you want to fix things.
