We are happy with the work performed. The gentlemen who did the work were professional and courteous. They called each morning to give us an arrival time and kept us informed of the progress throughout the job. We would recommend this company to family and friends.

Job was finished on time. Workers were friendly. Foreman was present each day. Everything that was going to be done was clearly explained by the foreman prior to their arrival. After the job was completed, the foreman explained how the pump worked, what yearly maintenance we needed to do and warranty info.

With him I had a good experience, very good.

They put the strips to reinforce the walls because I had a crack that was getting a little bigger so they reinforced it with these. Earlier the painted my basement walls with you know waterproofing but the more recent was this crack and they did a very nice job. They were fast and they cleaned up after themselves I was very pleased.

    I'm very happy with them.

It's very good I hope. I'm hoping it corrected the problem that we had. They were timely, I'm not unhappy with their work. We're built on an old apple orchard, so I'm assuming that the termites have been eating roots, some ants has been settling, plus the fact that there were like four other houses in the area that also have the same problem. I'd give them an A, because I wouldn't want to do the work, they dug a pit, this was by hand, this was not by a forklift or a piece of machinery, they got into the hole and dug it by hand. I think they were about 6 people here. Nobody wants to give hit it was a large bill, but it had to be done. We noticed one crack in the family room and then another one, then we walked the outside and there was another one, so it had to be done. They dealt with it quickly. I would recommend them.

We notice water leaking at the service entrance and called Bing Excavating to get an estimate on a repair. Mr. Bing took the initiative to contact the Call Before You Dig number so that work could start as soon as possible whether we used them or not. He was able to provide an estimate based on a visual inspection without me having to be home. We notified him that we wanted to use him for the work but work was delayed for a day by problems at another job. During that time Mr. Bing responded immediately to my calls and I felt like had it been a crisis he would have responded to shut the water off to bring it under control. Since the break was at the basement wall they were able to repair the line at the entry point by digging a relatively small trench. They made very quick work of this and our water was off for only a short time. Digging for the work required removing a bush in front of the house but when they finished, they put the bush back in it's original location. We'll see if it survives but I was pleasantly surprised that they went to the effort. I was happy with the work and would use them again.

Each team of workers treated our home as if it were their own.  During framing, they asked our opinion about a slight change to a wall to insure that persons would be able to have walking clearance between the new wall and pole.  Also, they increased the size of the walk-in closet a foot during framing because we had the space.  We were able to choose 3 paint colors. We love color and was excited about this option since the upstairs is one shade of beige. The painters asked our opinion about one color choice of the basement after cutting in the color on the wall. We realized that it looked quite different on the walls than on the color chip. We were able to change the color for a small fee because the original color that we chose did not look good for the bath.

The electrician added two small lights to the storage area because one part of the area would be dark when the barn door was closed. During the framing stage, Todd, one of the owners allowed us to purchase the wiring and HDMI cable for television or for a projector without additional charge. This made tv installation so much easier for the installers and tv programmers. Todd covered the upstairs wood flooring which was necessary to maintain our floors and reduce the impact of constant traffic leading to the basement. They constantly cleaned up after themselves. They maintained a professional demeanor during the entire construction. The level of quality of the finished basement area matches the quality of the rest of the house.

The basement feels like a sanctuary away from home even though it is in our home. Everything works well and we are glad that we refinished half of the basement. If we ever decide to finish the other half of the basement we will certainly use Finished Basements Plus Inc. again. The finished basement area is an asset to our home and we love it!

At 7:00pm on a weekend, I was surprised to get an immediate answer to my phone call to The Waterworks about a leak in my basement.  An employee walked me through what might be wrong.  She was upfront about a call out fee for the weekend.  She called me back very soon to let me know when a technician would be there and steps I could take to try to stop the leak before he arrived.  The leak did stop when I followed her advice.  He came exactly when she said he would, and it took about an hour and a half from when I made the first call to when he arrived.  The technician, Ryan, was quick to diagnose where the leak was by just asking me some questions.  He made a small cut in the wall, took out the damaged pipe to show me what happened to it, then replaced the damaged pipe.  He then checked to make sure everything was working as it should before heading out.  It was all very quick.

Ohio Basement Authority shaved the paint off our basement walls where the strips were installed. They drilled approximately 5" holes at the bottom of walls where the strips went. They filled these holes with rebar and concrete. They screwed in the top of the strips with bolts at the top of the walls and applied the strips with epoxy. They also filled in the stair-step cracks with concrete. They did an awesome job. We're just waiting for a receipt of payment. It would be nice if we got a response from their accounting department, like a QuickBooks paid invoice through email or something. Ohio Basement Authority gives a warranty for basement repairs like this. But, when we go to sell the house how will there still be a warranty, if there's no receipt of payment? Make sure you get a receipt from them before they leave the house!

UPDATE as of 12/13/2015: We finally received a receipt of payment from them. They had miscommunication issues. I asked them specifically to email our shared email address, which is our Angie's List account email address, as well. Whenever I talked to Travis, he felt the need to confirm with my husband first. It seemed like he had personal issues emailing our shared email address and their office had sent the paid QuickBooks invoice to my husband's email address, which he specifically told them not to use. Travis also asked if we could change their Responsiveness rating from F to something higher. I'm giving them a D for Responsiveness because even though the receipt was sent to my husband's email address, I find it very unprofessional of them to ignore a simple request.

Jim came out on Wednesday. He explained why we were getting water and discussed the solution with my husband and me. We have a cement block basement and the wet summer has caused it to fill with water in two corners. We agreed with the solution and he scheduled us. We asked him to get us earlier if he could. On Friday he had a cancellation. He came in and fixed the problem. We'll finish by painting the repairs to match the rest of the basement. Excellent job and quick!

Not well.  He was incredibly nosy about where my husband was at, how long he'd be gone, where he was at, what my insurance coverage was, etc., and then called the water remediator aside (when he noticed my watching).  I was baffled as to why anything or all of it couldn't be discussed in front of me unless perhaps they were colluding on how to divide up the work and entire rider coverage.  It resulted in Roth not being hired for the job at all.  I wasn't sure if I needed to file a police report or what after the visit.
