  • Perhaps there needs to be a better system put into place to instill confidence in the customer that s/he is getting the correct medication in a timely and professional manner. This Drug Mart pharmacy is poorly managed.

  • Called for authorization of services which was speedy and assuring. Called for results of claims for various dental services and balance of yearly benefit balance which didn't go so well. They said takes about 30 days but it's been 45 and still no answer, but they're reviewing it.

  • I contacted Rockport Elder Daycare approximately 2 weeks prior to our visit to obtain information about the program. They were extremely helpful and informative about the services they provided and explained fully what my father-in-law's visit would be like.
I was emailed all forms that needed to be completed by a physician, and was invited to visit anytime to see the center. Because he is elderly we don't like to take him out when it is cold or icy. When we had a break in the weather and the forms were completed my husband took his father to visit and then later to stay at the daycare for the day. When I picked him up later that afternoon he was very happy and seemed to enjoy his visit. He enjoyed the meal and the afternoon snack and he had exercised with the group and played games and was reading a book when I arrived. He told me that they were very nice and treated him very kindly and that he would like to go back there again. The staff were very friendly to me and explained in detail his experiences there that day. We will be returning when the weather has improved. My husband and I were very happy and believe it was a valuable socialization experience for him.

  • I agree with everything the previous reviewer mentioned.
I have constantly had problems with this pharmacy, as do other people I know. We have stopped using them except for emergencies or particular situations. Occasionally they do have something ready close to the promised time but it is such a rare event that I assume this happens by accident?
All these examples have happened to me, all more than once, and they have happened to other people I know too.
Although they promise prescriptions/refills will be ready by a certain time, don't go at the promised time, or close to that time, because they most likely won't be ready. You will have to wait, or come back again.
The Pharmacy at Giant Eagle at Legacy Village insists on a contact phone number so they can call you - I don't know why, because they never use it.
If there is a problem with your insurance and they cannot fill the prescription as written they don't call you so you can resolve the issue - you will find out when you get there. It doesn't matter if you arrive at the time the prescriptions should be ready, or days later - they still don't have the time to call you. They will eventually have to redo everything. And you will have to wait, or come back again.
If the problem cannot be resolved while you wait (again) and you need to call your insurance company, the Pharmacy says they will hold the prescription for a few days (I can't remember, but I think they are meant to hold it for 7 days?). Anyway, it doesn't matter because when you return in a couple of days, the items have been returned to the shelf.  Yes, they can refill everything again. But you will have to wait, or come back again.
If they run out of what you need and cannot fill the prescription they don't call you - you will find out when you get there. They say they will order it for the next day (if the supplier has it in stock). And then you will have to come back again.
If you have medications that you cannot skip, this is not the pharmacy for you!  I really don't know how they stay in business. It's no use complaining because the complaints are fielded by the same people who are responsibile for the poorly run pharmacy. Customers who do business there have lowered their expectations. The last time I was there I heard then promise a prescription to someone - as the person walked away they said to their partner that they would be back a few hours after the promised time, and perhaps the prescription would be ready!  The only reason I have used them is for convenience when I hope things will be different and/or have forgotten how unprofessional they are. I don't do it very often because I am always disappointed when I leave. This pattern has repeated over years (not weeks, or months). Nothing ever changes.  After this last disaster, I won't go back!

  • Their service is very slow. They are supposed to alert you once your prescription is ready, but they always fail to. They continuously have bad phone mannerisms. I’ve been hung up on many times. Occasionally, I’ll bring in a prescription and if I don’t pick them up on time, they’ll discard them without warning.

  • I will always go to this hospital even though it is a little farther from my home. I have always been given the best of care and have not had to wait too long to be seen for blood tests, mammograms, or even PAT testing. The nurses were very efficient and never forgot about me. I think if you have to be in the hospital this hospital is the place to be. There is only one negative thing that I have to say, and that is about the billing department. If you owe them any money at all the billing department will be calling your house almost as soon as you get home.

  • In the Emergency Room, the nurses call button didn't work. I was pretty much ignored. I was never even asked if I wanted any food all day. I requested to go home or speak with the doctor about when I was going home 3 times and was ignored all 3 times. I asked for the priest when I first arrived at noon. That request was also ignored. When I requested to go to the bathroom, a rolling chair was brought in to me with no toilet tissue. I detached my own heart monitors myself and walked down the hall to the bathroom. No one was concerned by this at all. When they finally admitted me and took me upstairs, everyone was nasty. They gave me a TEE test which didn't work. I asked to see my chart, which is my right by law, and this request was questioned. They did not even take my list of over the counter medications - they never checked it against the contra indicated prescriptions. I had one doctor that was very nice, and I finally got the priest to come see my late in the afternoon the next day. On a previous trip, my daughter was told go home 3 different times on a diagnosis of the flu. In reality, she had lime disease. This hospital never ran a blood test on her. I took her to a different hospital that ran the test right away and got her on heavy antibiotics and was able to save her life. By and large, I would not recommend anyone go here!

  • I go through their executive health program. So, I have personal appointment maker. They are known to provide efficient and cost-effective healthcare. The thing I like the most about them is that they have a woman?s department, which I think is absolutely fabulous. They provide healthcare from a woman?s perspective. The head of department there is Dr. Holly Thacker. When you call their direct number, someone named Terrence will answer the call. He will then take you through the procedure for making appointments. I had an extreme case of pneumonia with a tremendous amount of blood damage, three years ago. So, I see the pulmonologist every year. My husband was on staff there for about 25-29 years. I think compared to any other healthcare provider in Washington D.C. area, they are the best. I say this because they are centralized. They make a big effort to make sure that you get all your appointments done in one day, if you are coming from out of town. Everything is coordinated. They send you your reports and they are very communicative about your tests. I am due to go back to them shortly for a stress test.

  • I mainly go to West Shore because of how close it is to my home. They have free parking which I think is very nice, because there are a lot of hospitals in the area that charge for parking. They have the best hospital food that I have ever had. The nurses in the hospital are all very good. A lot of the nurses work forty hours at one hospital and work weekends at another. I have been very pleased with their care.

  • It is extremely convenient because it is close to our home, so it is usually easy to get in to the facility for appointments. Everybody there is very friendly and very on time, and any testing that we need to get done is done right down in the floor lab. Everything is very convenient there for checkups.
