Ohio Exteriors delivered superior work in a professional manner. The rep Bill and the owner James checked on the project in person throughout the process to ensure we were satisfied as it progressed. Janice the office manager maintained contact to assure we were aware of each step to be taken. Workers were highly professional, polite, respectful, and hard-working. Hire them! You won't be sorry!

We signed our contract in April of 2017 after seeing Sunspace at a Home Remodeling Show downtown. Max came out to our house and gave us a quote that was $8000 more than the price we had seen at the show, but he explained it was because we'd need glass instead of plastic for it to be 3-season. We were satisfied with the explanation and signed the contract...BIG MISTAKE #1: We did not write an expected completion date. Therefore, when I called Max at the end of July to question the many excuses for delay, he was very rude and told me that I didn't have any other options than to work with him when I asked for a refund of our down payment. IN fairness, Max called me the following day with a profuse apology and he took responsibility for being rude and unprofessional. BIG MISTAKE #2: We accepted the apology and continued working with Sunspace. Work on our sun room began in October of 2017. The room failed Westerville inspection multiple times due to things like: 1)not enough screws holding the walls together and to the house; 2) the wrong type of windows for safety in 2 of the windows and the door; 3) the support post for the roof and the header for the support post were insufficient to hold the weight. They failed to pass a few of the inspections because they failed to comply with the inspector's instructions regarding the number of screws holding the walls together and a delay in exchanging the windows. It took 10 1/2 months from contract signatures to getting the inspection passed for the room. But when my husband tried to lay the floor, he realized the sub-floor put in by Sunspace wasn't level at a seam; in fact, it was about 1/4 inch higher than the rest of the floor. Thankfully, my husband knows his way around building and planed this area so that we didn't have to call Sunspace EVER AGAIN! I want to add that the crews were very nice and seemed knowledgeable; Lisa in the office was communicative and very pleasant. If you hire Sunspace regardless of the reviews posted here on Angie's List, protect yourself by adding a completion date to your contract. Do not sign the contract as is like we did. And Good Luck!

Needless to say, we are extremely happy with the quality of all three jobs performed. The house has been beautifully transformed, and I'll be sure to contact them for any future home improvement or remodeling. First of all, you deal directly with Robert Harmon, the owner of the company, he is the type of person that will tell you things straight, while providing multiple options and ideas for the project. With Robert you don't have to guess, what you see is what you get, there are no surprises, there is no wondering, and most important the job is performed according to a plan, and any changes or roadblocks that we all know happen in any project are immediately communicated and options are discussed and evaluated. Communications before and throughout each project is a given, and that in addition to the great quality, cleanliness, and thoroughness of their job is extremely important to us. So, how did it go... GREAT... all three jobs, FANTASTIC.

The workmanship was first class. Mike was very professional and always available to answer any questions regarding the project. I would highly recommend Mike and his company and would not hesitate to use them again.

The process could not have gone any smoother. Our neighbors had used them to build a fantastic covered porch, and we had been on the lookout for years to find the right builder for our sunroom. Mike (the "sales" guy and who does the designs) walked us through multiple options over multiple visits, and played a huge part in getting the room just right (talked us into adding a covered porch area that might be the best part). The owner John was quick to answer any question I had during the 3 month wait for them to start. And once they started Greg, the production supervisor, and their team was awesome. They made sure everything was done with quality, and the crew was overall nice to interact with. One thing I really appreciated was their flexibility in design, changes, and allowing me to add my own touches (like purchase my own windows, roofing, and HVAC unit). Being a long-time homeowner, I have dealt with my fair share of contractors, and almost always "something" comes up that taints it just a bit. This might have been the smoothest process I have had, especially with a project this large.

The worker found that the old caulk between the flashing and the side of the house had gone bad so he removed the old and caulked again. He also put a coat of paint on the flashing which was about 15 years old and had a bit of rust on it. Looks great and I appreciate Noor's quick response and best of all it was all under warranty and did not cost me anything.

We purchased the BIg Deal and signed a contract in the spring of 2015. We were told the patio would be completed in 30-45 days, The actual patio was completed in mid-July, over 90 days after signing the contract, and the day before a large summer BBQ party.
My impression is that the owner lined up too many jobs and over-promised all of his clients to get the work. I do think the rainy spring put him behind schedule, but day after day would pass with no communication from him. He would respond to our emails and texts, but never followed through on any of his promises. For example, he told me he would break ground on Thursday and then we'd have to email him again in a week to figure out what happened to him.
Then one day the stars aligned and the patio was finished in a matter of 3 short days. I consider myself one of the lucky few. In the end, we do have a nice, completed patio to enjoy but the time to get there was one of the most frustrating home remodeling experiences that I've encountered. I understand delays will happen, but communication will go a long way in making a customer happy.

They came out and gave me an estimate on June 4 for $4900. I gave $1950 which was half of the total on June 22. Was going to purchase BD from Angie's List for $999.00@144 sq ft. of patio with his company but never purchased deal because it had already expired. SP said they would call Angie's List to get BD purchased. Due to rainy weather the job was postponed til August. Checked back with him on July 30 and Aug 19 I was following up the status on my back patio. On Aug 20th he said he would be out for the cut out.which means to start digging out the area and he never showed up. Sent out another email on Aug 25, and on the Aug 27 he called because I was going to cancel. He said he was going to come out the following week to do the job. Aug 31, emailed company again to start refund process since I have no responses. He said once again he was going to start work on Sept. 4. I asked again on Sept 3 about a refund and did not get a reply until Sept 4. The check that he collected for $1450 will go out at the end of the month but the $999 will get refunded thru Angies List but I never purchased a deal through Angie's List. On Sept 8 I emailed him to ask if he meant the end of September. On Oct. 5 I talked to him and he said that he talk needed to talk to someone else about my refund. I called him this morning with no response and I left a voicemail staing that I have been more than patient and I need my money back.

Ralph went over the work before and after to make sure that you were satisfied with the job that was done.He asked if I was satisfied with one coat of paint on the ceiling and I told him that it looked like it needed a second coat.So they applied another coat and looked  just right.
